Pattey: Curses and Blessings work BUT ONLY when backed by the 'right force' I.e a force strong enough to make it happen and not just word of mouth.

Why do I say so; 1, there are some people you don't wanna mess with, trust me! - That's for effective 'force-backed' type.

2 - We curse Police, NEPA/PHCN, Politicians etc everyday. If it were to be by curse, shouldn't they all be giving birth to imbeciles grin? Or dropping dead whenever they oppress us?
Now that's type 2 - ordinary word of mouth shakara. In our mind we may think it'l work but truth is, it won't! Not unless its TYPE 1

NB: be it traditional force, christian or islamic etc; there has to be a spiritual projection to push that word of mouth beyond just word of mouth.

Now if what we're saying is; there is NO Power, dat wud be another topic entirely. And I can still introduce you to some people. . . Offend them and ur life will never remain the same again cheesy . . . Amen? grin
i have done you good by quoting your post now,bless me

Christianity EtcCurse And Blessing; How Effective Are They? by Chiscomax(op): 8:46pm On Sep 14, 2013
We all know what curses and blessings are. starting from times of old Isaac blssesed Esau, and so on and so forth... while there are some that were also recorded to be cursed by men in the bible.

Now i have some questions;
1) how effective are curses and blessings today?
2)due to the present situation of hardship in the nation, is it not possible to bless the beggers saying" you shall have all the money you want tonight".
3)is it not possible to curse the evil ones to perish after the next 4hours?
4) if you do not believe in blessings and curses? would they still have effects on thee?

i think i can just bless a child saying "you shall be the greatest man on earth". how do you see this?

if you have other explanations, please kindly contribute because i have been pondering lately of how blessings and curses can alter fate and turn the wheel of destiny.

EducationMechanical Engineering Options; Need Help by Chiscomax(op): 10:29am On Sep 13, 2013
The ASUU strike so far have been been a blessing sometimes and sometimes, otherwise. i have a problem and i think this strike have given me enough time to think and seek for help.

i have been contemplating on an issue but unfortunately, i have gotten zero conclusion. please my fellow nairalanders between Industrial production option in mechanical engineering and automotive engineering, which one do you think is best to be chosen in this field of study(mechanical engineering)? and also, helpwith reasons why you think so. your help is highly needed. i love both options but i still do not know the one that is better. huh
