'Odoh, define government as a field of study in your own words' Spring up asked.

I racked my brain to a fault and I figured that unless I gave him back his definition exactly as he thought us, I was going to have to keep quiet and stare at him until the worst happen.

He noticed I had no reply and without further questioning he raised the hand that held the belt and 'SWOOSH!!' He swung it at me with every atom of energy he had, luck was probably by my side because as he swung the belt, I simultaneously crouched and the belt hit the wall instead of me, I looked at the wall and saw the paint had peeled.

'BLOOD OF JESUS!' I exclaimed and as a sharp guy, I found my self jumping lockers in an attempt to escape; 'I might not be lucky as the first time' I thought to myself as I ran away.

I looked at my back as I got to the door just to check if I was being chased and unluckily for me, the almighty spring up was coming after me with the speed of light... 'Choi! This man is more agile than I thought oh' I exclaimed as I accelerated to gear 4. It was wide goose chase and I could hear people from my class laughing out loud as the drama unfolded before them.

'Come back here now! Odoh! I said come back here!' Spring up screamed as he chased me.

'If na die, I go die! But this man no go catch me today!' I encouraged myself and I turned and started running round the quadrangle, I noticed everyone in my class had come out and the whole corridor was filled with people who were laughing away their sorrows as Spring up and Michael acted their own version on 'the ginger bread man'.

We ran in circles for a short while and then, with such energy and speed that I never knew I had, I dashed out of the class region, heading towards the dining hall.

As I ran with out looking back, I realized I wasn't hearing footsteps anymore and assumed he wasn't chasing me but looking back would reduce my speed a bit so I simply kept on running;

'Don't ever come to my class again! don't sleep in that hostel! Just pack your bags and go! Just this... Just that!' He kept on screaming threats at me until I was far beyond sight.

***

'O boy, what was that all about na?' Efe asked me when he got to hostel after school hours had ended.

'Wetin?' I asked.

'That Jet Li stunt you pulled during government class this morning' He asked.

'Hmmm, which stunt exactly are you talking about?'

'Running away from spring up and jumping over lockers...'

I instantly bursted out in laughter while Efe looked at me with a raised eyebrow: 'Oh! That? You wan make I stay there till the man kill me because I couldn't answer a question?' I asked when I was done laughing like a mad man.

Before Efe could push further and give a 'good boy' response...

'Badoo!!! Badest guy ever liveth' Dolls, the razzest and yet best of all my friends walked into my room and hailed me right from the door as he walked down to my corner.

'How far you na?' I asked Dolls in response.

'I gentle oh! I dey feel you oh, infact, everybody wey don hear the gist dey feel you self'

I didn't know what exactly to say so I just smiled in response.

'See eh, that man too dey do anyhow, boys don dey plan to treat hin Bleep ups self and you just ginger us now' Dolls continued

'You just they whine the guy, you no go they there when spring up eventually catch am oh, abi shey you go follow chop the beating?' Efe lamented.

'Oga! Forget that thing jhur, you no know say I be like smoke, abi them dey catch smoke for your village?' I boasted with a wide grin on my face.

'Confirmed nigga! Take am!' Dolls hailed me once more and raised his hand for a handshake, I shook him.

'Na una know, anyway, I wan go wash my school uniform.. We go see later' Efe said and walked away.

'O boy, make I come wash with you na, my detergent don finish' Dolls asked and Efe accepted so they walked away and left me all alone in the room.

I had already washed and was literally jobless at the moment so I brought out my MP3 player and went to the corner of a roommate, after whining him aliitle, I slipped into his bed, I choose his bed over mine because he was one of those people who used mosquito nets even if there weren't mosquitoes and its not like he was the only one who used a mosquito net but he was the only one who used a blue mosquito net which made it difficult for someone outside the net to see what exactly was happening inside the net. The perfect spot to listen to my music without being scared of being caught.

I plugged the earpiece and the first song on my playlist was 'Just the way you are - Brunomars'. As I listened to the lyrics;

'Her eyes, her eyes makes the stars look like they're not shining/ her hair, her hair, falls perfectly without her trying/ she's so beautiful and I tell...' I instantly remembered someone, Jane.

'Did she see me this morning running round the whole class with a teacher at my back? How would she view it? In a good way or bad way? Why am I even bothered about her opinion? Its not like she's my girl na...' I kept on pondering until I slept off.

***

'Chistar! Chistar!! Michael!!!' I heard someone who had a similar voice to Dolls scream my name few minutes later, or so I thought.

'Wetin?' I asked as I reluctantly opened my eyes and slipped out of the bed, I saw it wasn't someone who sounded by Dolls but Dolls himself.

'You no dey go night prep today? Them fit mark attendance o' he asked.

'Night prep ke? Time never reach na' I replied.

'Enhen? Okay na, stay there! I don go dress up oh, if you like stay there dey sleep' He replied and walked out.

I brushed my eyes with the bank of my hands and checked the time on the MP3 player and saw it was indeed almost time for night prep, I had missed lunch, afternoon prep, supper and now it was already night prep, 'nawa oh, na so sleep carry me go!' I thought.

Anyway, I quickly prepared for night prep after rinsing my face and other places that matter, I had no time to shower properly. I've seen spring up wandering round the hostel several times at night looking for people who didn't go for night prep so that he can punish them, I was ready to take the risk.

I and Dolls got to class few minutes later and as usual, after spotting one of those new midstream chicks, he left his books with me and went down to the business he knew how to do best. I looked around for Efe and spotted him at one dark corner with his girlfriend, I didn't see them doing anything but anyone who saw their posture would know they were doing more than talking, I went to check out all my other friends and just as if it was planned, they were all occupied with different girls, for the first time ever, I became jealous of other guys and lonely because I had no one to talk to.

I sat down on my locker, bored and lonely waiting for the prep supervisors to arrive so that prep could official start when I suddenly saw Segun and Jane walk pass my class corridor.

Without thinking much about it, I dropped my books in my locker and ran after them, as soon as I caught up with them I said;

'Segun what's up na?'

'I dey oh, shey spring up don finally catch you?' He asked laughing.

I nearly said; 'Ahh! Basta'rd son of a thousand fathers! How you go bring up that kind topic for front of Jane na?'

'Not yet oh, and I hope he doesn't catch me o' I replied with a shy smile.

'you don't have liver, so why did you run in the first place?' Jane asked

'If you were there from the start, you would understand better' I replied and waited for a responce but got none so I continued; ' anyway, that's not the reason am here, Segun, do you mind if I steal Jane from your hand for some minutes?' I asked with a wink.

'Hmmm, if she allows it, sure' he replied.

I gave her an inquiring look and she simply replied;
'Hmmm, okay'

'Okay then, we would finish our gist later' Segun said to Jane who just said okay before walking away.

So, it was just I and Jane once again, on the same corridor as the last time, the only difference was this time, I was ready for her and not scared or shy anymore.

'So what did you want to tell me?'

'Hmmm, a lot dear'

'Who is your dear?' She asked.

Before replying, I smiled and thought; 'You wanna play tough? Well I'll show you what tough is!'

Chimaritoponcho: jenny i can stake my dick that u dint do pd in futo.i did pd in futo and i swear what u are telling us is far from what i expected
why dint u describe ur lecture hall,lecturers,dia courses et al even ur lodge sef we no know the name abi dint u see d way chistar told his in his"complicated love story".
I sincerely hope u prove me wrong... and nice story by the way
hmmmm.. Yea, that's right. Ruby, work on your descriptions just as chima just said, most of us didn't attend futo and we don't know how the lecture halls, lodges, church and even the characters look like, so you should help us to describe the environment, scenes, characters so that we can easily have a clearer image of the whole thing in our heads.

For example - 'rumour had it that prof Iyke was a man in his late fifties but I doubted it because he looked far younger. He was as robust as a Christmas turkey and could never be caught wearing corporate clothing as he was always on different native attires which were so stylish in nature that I even considered dropping all my western clothing(corporate and casuals) and adapt to his mode of dressing'.

So there he stood, Mr Olushola A.K.A Spring up, right at the front of the class patiently waiting for us to keep quiet. He was and still a really slim man who have to either have a tailor sew his clothes specially for him or must slim fit all his shirts and trousers if they were bought 'ready-made' unless he plans on wearing parachutes in disguise of shirts and trousers, I used to wonder how he managed to walk on the road when the weather was windy because I expected the wind to blow him away and that's not an exaggeration. Another distinctive feature of the man was his complexion, he had that kind of complexion that would give 'Baba Suwe' a run for his money, yes! He was that dark, or I guess the word 'black' would be more suitable in his case.

Anyway, as the class became quiet and everybody settled down, he went down straight to business. He walked to the teacher's table and dropped his bag, he then looked at the class as if he was looking for someone or something, then for the first time in my life I saw him do something I never thought he could do or even know how to do, he smiled. I didn't know if that was a good thing or a bad thing because I have come across people who would smile at you and then stab you at the back almost immediately.

'Are there any cross house boys in this class?' Mr Olushola asked.

'Yes!' The few cross house boys in the class replied, all but Dolls replied.

'Okay, good. As most of you already know, my name is Mr Olushola and I'll be taking you on the most important subject on this earth, titled government. I'll have told you all to introduce yourselves one by one but that would waste time, so let's do it like this...' He took a short pause to check if he had all of us attention, and he did, so he continued; 'In the course of my teaching, am going to be throwing random questions at you all, so before you answer my question, I need you to do two simple things first. One, you spring up!... Who can tell me what I mean by that?'

A certain Jenifer raised her hand to signify she wanted to attempt the question, as soon as Mr Olushola gave her the go ahead, she sprung up from her sit as if it was hot, at first, everyone was shocked then the whole class bursted out in laughter, even Mr Olushola couldn't help but laugh at the girl action.

'Good! I hope you all saw what she did? That's what I want you all to do when a question is thrown at you, even if you don't know the answer, still spring up, am I clear?' He asked.

'Yes sir!' The whole class responded in unison.

'Good! Secondly, when asked a question, you start answering by telling me your name. I don't like sluggishness so when I ask you a question, you follow the procedure and tell me you don't know the answer, am I understood?'

'Yes sir!'

'Okay, so down to business. Today, we are just going to look at the definition of government so that we can have a broad view about what this subject is all about. Who can tell me what government is?'

Various people stood up and gave their opinion about the case study, some stupid, some wise, when they were done he went down to actually define government;

'Government can be defined in three context, government as a field of study, government as an act of governing and government as...' He went on and on, breaking down the definition to the least possible division then he gave illustrations too, that was the funny part because he didn't just give illustrations by just talking alone, he actually twisted his entire body and occasionally place his legs on a locker all in the name of illustration, it was funny and yet understandable, or so I thought.

30 minutes later, he was done and as expected, he asked;

'Do you all understand?'

'Yes sir!' We all responded like typical Nigerian students who say yes even though they don't understand any of the words that fell out of the teacher's mouth.

'Do you all understand?' He asked again and we replied in the affirmative once again. He smiled and the next thing I knew...;

'Angle 90! Spring up!' He ordered me to stand up.

'Chai! I don enter my own today' I thought within myself as I sprung up with immediate effect.

'What's your name?'

'Odoh Michael sir...' I replied and could feel my legs shaking involuntary.

'Do you understand all the jargons I just finish saying now?' He asked with a smile.

I didn't really understand but I had a good memory of his illustration and was ready to illustrate back to him if he asked me to so I replied; 'Yes sir'

His smile varnished and he asked;
'In your own words, define government as a field of study'

'Ahh!!! In my own words?' I asked as I wasn't ready for that.

'Yes!'

I recalled him saying we should say we don't know the answer if we don't rather than waste his time so I took a deep breath and swallowed some saliva as my throat had suddenly gone dry.

'I can't explain it in my words but I can give an illustration sir'

'An illustration or the illustration I gave you?' He asked, emphasizing on 'my'.

'Your illustration sir'

'So you are trying to tell me I just wasted 30 minutes of my life in teaching you and you do not understand?' As he asked that question he was struggling to remove his belt and walking towards me with speed. Dolls and Efe were wise enough to shift their lockers away from mine as what was going to happen next was highly predictable. I looked at the window by my side and mentally calculated if I could jump through it and run incase the belt he was trying to remove was for me.

He successfully removed the belt and got to close to me, with the belt in his hand, he asked;

'Odoh, define government as a field of study in your own words'

'She said...' I paused before continuing 'she said four unexpected words'

'I Love you too?' Dolls asked with a wide grin on his face.

I laughed before finally replying; 'she said she doesn't love me'. As soon as I said it my lips curved and a sad look appeared on my face.

'err... Michael' Dolls called my name and I looked at him in the face, the grin had disappeared and he now had that 'I told you so' look and that was the last thing I needed to hear at that moment. I think Dolls was wise enough to read my thoughts and instead of saying 'I told you so' he took a deep breath and said;

'don't worry yourself too much about it, that's how all girls are on the first day, they like to act like they don't care whereas they do.'

I sighed, I didn't see much sense in his statement and wanted to ask for further explaination but I really wasn't in the talking mood, who would be? When the love of his life just indirectly said she doesn't give a fûck about you?

Prep for the rest of that night was unusually slow and the fact that Dolls was quiet all through the night made it weird too. That was probably the first and only time he had kept his mouth shut for about two straight hours with out saying a shît, I was impressed.

'Make we dey go hostel na' I finally said to Dolls as soon as prep was over.

He didn't say any word to me, just packed his books and lead the way, he looked so sad that I was beginning to wonder if it was my heart that was broken or his.

As we got to hostel and the spot where when had to go to our different hostels, he said;

'No worry, that girl parole must click' he walked away leaving me surprised.

***

Monday! A day which most people hate because after resting and hanging out with friends and family, they suddenly have to be at work or school as earlier as 8am in most cases.

I'm not particularly among those people I described above as a matter of fact, in contrary to their opinions about Monday, I actually love mondays. I love it because after two complete days of staying in hostel and being faced with the Saturday general cleaning I have to stay in the hostel and risk being sent on thousand of errands by those lazy seniors who would also be in the same hostel.

So Monday, and other week days, gives me a suitable excuse and reason not to be in hostel, cool right?

Anyway, this particular Monday was quite special because it was the first school Monday that teachers were expected to teach in my ss1.

Assembly was long as usual and my feet ached as I had to stand for hours listening to the annoying voice of the principal who kept on babbling on discipline and obedience. I was too excited to get pissed because I finally got to wear my crazy bootcut trousers and my sparkling designers white t-shirt that I had my tailor sew the school badge on the left breäst pocket, in summary, I looked rather 'sweet' even in comparism with most SS2 and SS3 students.

All went well and the principal got tired of talking so after the national anthem we marched to our classrooms singing;

'O my home, O my home, when shall I see my home...' the junior students voice were louder ofcourse, who could blame them? They actually meant what the song entailed.

I got to my class room and immediately went to my locker which was at the extreme left corner of the class, you know that thing they say about only Olodo people sitting at the back? That's not entirely true because I love sitting at the back and am not an olodo, or am I?.

Dolls and Efemena (abbreviated as Efe, he is also my close friend and a mutual friend of Dolls too) had their lockers placed around Mine, while Efe's own was by my side, Doll's had his at my immediate front.

I was about opening my locker to check the timetable for what subject we had that morning only for me to look outside the window answer see Jane who was coincidentally passing by it to her class. I stared at her so intensely until she totally passed by, as I faced my front, Dolls was already on his locker staring at me, he had seen me looking at Jane as if I wanted to die, he expected him to laugh at me but he just changed the topic;

'wetin we suppose get this morning' he asked.

I looked at the timetable which I had celotaped to the inner wall of my locker then told him;

'na Government oh'

'Government?' He asked in surprise.

'Yup, any problem?'

'Not really, just that I hope our teacher won't be Mr Olushola oh'

'Spring up?' I asked.

NB: Spring up was the name we students called Mr Olushola (you would know why soon). He was my leader house master and a very cruel staff of the school who takes no nonsense. Having him as a house master had guaranteed Chad house the first position during almost all the general inspections, so you can imagine how strict he was.

'Yes, spring up' Dolls replied.

As we were talking, the whole noisy class became quiet and we both turned to the front of the class to see the cause only to see Spring up standing there.

So there I stood, right at the front of my so called dream girl. I've always imagined how our first encounter would be like and I've had hundreds of different pictures in my head about it, but falling right at her front and being assisted up by her had never crossed my mind for once.
Saying I was embarrassed would be an understatement and there isn't any word in the whole dictionary and encyclopedia that could describe exactly how I felt. I just wished the ground would open and swallow me.

Anyway, I figured I couldn't tell her the real reason why I didn't see the locker so I racked my brain for a suitable explanation, after what felt like forever to me, I came up with a suitable lie, well it wasn't entirely a lie but not the full truth neither;
'My mind was somewhere else' I replied.

'Hmmm, okay oh, if you say so' she replied and turned back in other to join her friends who were looking at me but as soon as I looked at them, they turned their faces and acted like they weren't looking at me.

As she walked away, I looked around to see those who saw the whole drama unleash before their eyes and I somehow looked into my classroom only to see Dolls urging me to go after Jane again, I was sure he had laughed away his sorrows because his eyes were quite red.

I looked at Jane, then looked at Dolls before looking at Jane for the second time and after taking a deep breath, I said;
'Jane!'

She stopped and turned towards me;
'Yea?'

'Err.. Ermm.. Can I see you for a few seconds?' I replied, visibly shaking.

'Hmmm..for what?' She replied.

I wasn't prepared for such reply, I had expected 'sure' 'why not?' Or something like that but 'for what' was far from expected.

'Errrm.. Just want to talk to you?' I replied.

'About what?' She asked. I was starting to wonder how that nice Jane who helped me up when I fell suddenly turned this cold.

'Err.. Just talk na' I replied and then decided to put her on the spot by asking 'do you mind?'

She paused for a minute as if she was weighing her options and considering it before she finally walked closer to me and said;
'Okay talk, am listening'

You know that sound effects they used in action movies back in those day that people in recent times have mimicked to 'Ghen ghen!'? I can almost swear I heard it in my head as she made that statement. This was the moment of truth, the moment I've been waiting to occur for the past one month since Jane resumed at FEDGO, she was a midstream student.

'Err.. Ermm.. Ermm...' I stuttered then scratched my head in confusion, hoping an idea would pop into my head from heaven, but even heaven didn't seem to want to help me as at that moment. I was all alone.

'What is the thing you wanted to talk about?' She asked with a rather harsh voice.

'Ermm.. Ermm..' Now, I don't exactly know where this came from, maybe I was just following Dolls idea when he said I should just speak my mind and go with the flow, so I spoke my mind saying; 'am speechless' I didn't even know what to expect as a reply.

'Okay, since you have nothing to say, I've got to go to my class and start reading, I have a test tomorrow morning' she then turned again to leave but I somehow got the courage to stop her once again;
'Jane...' I called her.

She sighed in frustration and said; 'what is it again?'

I wanted to take a deep breath first but there wasn't enough air around me so I held my breath before blurting out;
'I love you'

She raised and eye brow then asked with a sarcastic tone; 'you love me?'

I nodded in response and waited for the worst to happen, maybe she would slap me, I thought.

'Okay, is that all?' she replied

I nearly said; 'Okay? Like seriously! I just told you how I felt and all you can say is okay! Ahh!! Ori e ti daru! Ori e ti fo! E no go better for you' but I somehow managed my anger since I was sad and confused at the same time.

'Err... Do you feel anything for me?' I asked courageously, I felt since I had already said the main thing, asking how she felt towards me would be a good idea rather than watch her go.

She gave me a reply that I wouldn't exactly say was expected or unexpected. She eventually walked to her class after that, I also went to my class too.

As I got to my class, I opened the C.R.K note and started copying the bible passage before Dolls came into the class and before sitting on his locker or doing any other thing, he came to my desk and sat on my desk then asked;
'Oya, how did it go na?'

'How did what go?' I asked trying not to give him any facial impression that would tell him what he wanted to hear.

'You daft ni? How your package go na?' He asked again

'Package ke? Which package? What are you talking about?' I asked.

'Hmmm. You wanna play stvpid abi? Okay, WHAT.DID.YOU.TELL.JANE.AND.WHAT.DID.SHE.TELL.YOU? Do you understand now?' He asked purposely slowly saying his words and emphasizing on them.

I figured I had tortured him long enough as I was sure he was dead curious about what Jane told me so I decided to let him out of his misery.

'Err... I told her loved her' I replied, hitting the nail on the head.

he looked shocked and surprised before asking; 'and she said?'

I down at my feet then looked back at him before replying;

'She said...'

**continuation**

Dinner came and went in a flash and I somehow found myself walking towards my classroom for night prep with Dolls by my side.

I was quite uncertain about the whole 'talk to Jane' thing and was obviously uncomfortable with the whole idea but I knew Dolls was already on my matter and history has thought me that once he sticks his nose into a matter, he does everything within his power to make sure the matter is settled. So as soon as we got to class, I went to my locker, sat down and brought out my C.R.K note alongside a red standard version bible in other to copy the bible passage my teacher had instructed us to copy, I did this hoping that Dolls would leave me alone and not mention Jane matter to me.

Dolls just stared at me in silence for a while before bursting out in his signature kind of laughter.

I simply ignored him.

'What do you think you are doing?' He asked smiling.

'Am counting beans' I replied sarcastically praying he won't start with his annoying laughter again.

'Don't you want to talk to your DREAM girl again?' He replied, emphasizing on 'dream' in a mocking tone.

'I've told you before! I don't know how to toast, what do you want me to say to her?' I replied raising my voice.

'Who said anything about toasting her now?' He asked.

'Hmmm.. So what am I talking to her for?'

He sighed before replying; 'you are truly a novice, let me ask you a question'

'If you were Jane and a certain guy who you know nothing about suddenly walks up to you one night and the first thing he says is I love you, what would be your reaction?'

For the first time in a long while, Dolls was actually making sense, and I got his point so I bowed my head in defeat as I waited for him to finish his lecture, but if I was going to answer his question, my answer would have been 'I'll slap the stvpid guy and walkout on him'

'You can't even reply the question, you see, all you are gonna do to her this night is just introduce yourself and get her talking, don't ask her any personal thing or tell her any personal thing yet as its too early. Just try and get familiar with her' he continued.

'Hmmm, okay, I'll try. But if we aren't talking about her and not about me, what exactly are we gonna be talking about?' I asked confused.

'Guy! You ask too much questions oh, what's your big brain for if you can't use it? Just go with the flow, talk about the weather if you have to' he laughed for a while then said 'don't talk about the weather oh, am just joking. Just be original and go with the flow, gist would come, trust me'

I sighed and I didn't know when I said; 'Where the hell is that Jane of a girl?!' I think my eyes were red with anger and determination, okay that's just an exaggeration *winks*.

'Luckily for you, look at her over there' he replied pointing just outside the class, she was on the corridor with some friends of hers, they were gisting.

I took a deep breath, a really deep one before rising from my locker and headed towards her. As I got to the door of the class room, I took another deep breath and did the sign of the cross, I seemed to have suddenly gotten asthma as I kept on gasping for air that was surplus but not enough for my, thus the deep breaths.

Jane had that kind of beauty that makes heads turn, she had the right amount of flesh in the right places which complimented her beauty, as I approached her slowly, I noticed her hair flowing in slow motion, her eyes glowed like the sun, her b0obs looked bigger than normal, infact, everything about her looked so perfect.

I was snapped back to reality when I was. Just few inches away from her and had all my attention at her, that I didn't even see a big locker that was on the corridor, in two quick movements, I found myself on the floor, the fall hurt me so bad on my waist that I wanted to let out an ear piercing scream but shame won't let me.

I told myself that immediately I stand up, I'll just go back to my class and that would be the end of the Jane story but...

Just as I placed my hand on the floor to aid me in rising up, someone suddenly ran towards me and help me up. I gladly accepted the assistance and even leaned on the person as I rose.

I dusted my clothes which was stained by the ground before finally looking at the guardian angel God sent to help me only for me to see it was no other person than Jane, my very own Jane.

She smiled at me and said;

'Sorry about your fall, how come you didn't see the locker?'

My heart paced faster than it has ever paced, my sweat pore pumped out more sweat than necessary, I felt the urge to pee on my body, asin all my glands and organs were misbehaving and over reacting.

'Err... I.. I.. Was...' I stuttered as I was about to reply her.

Err... Nice format and I almost totally agree with you, although I have a few observations and suggestions.

1. This is the literature section (emphasis on literature), so it not only stories that make up literature, just incase you have forgotten, poems are also part of the literature section so that should be considered.

2. Are we going to vote for the honorary awards too? If yes, I disagree with that, I think its wrong to vote for something that's obvious, if we are gonna take the format of the music awards, I don't think people vote for fela before he is given the award year in, year out and he would win it maybe until 2face dies and becomes the new legend. I don't expect us to give an award to someone who has quitted nairaland and removed his or her story tho, so maybe a seasoned scribe should be in charge of finding the right person to give the honorary award. I know you just want to appoint people to do your work being a proper manager but if am to appoint a scribe for that, ama appoint you.

3. The newcomers award should preferable the names of writers who started their first story within a time limit. Let me make reference to the music awards again, let's take wizkid for example, he won the next rated act award some years ago after releasing more than five songs, out of which, 3 were hit bangers (holla your boy, tease me and don't dull). If they had said the award is for only people who have one hit song, that would be wrong and wizkid won't have won it. Same applies here, some writers started writing just few months ago and already have more than a story, would it be fair to say they aren't a new comer to the section and site when they are very new to writing? i hear it takes years to be a seasoned writer, or so I think.I.M.O a time span should be drafted for that award rather than the amount of stories someone have on the site.

4. Since there are just five scribes and tens of genres and thousand of stories + poems, won't it be more reasonable to increase the amount of scribes?
