good day doctor, i need a medical opinion on what could be possibly wrong with my dad.He is in his last 60's. It started about 3years ago, when he started experiencing what was described as seizures and when he visited me in the USA about 2 years ago, he had an episode and was taken to an hospital where ct scan and eeg were negative and was later placed on dilantin(phenytoin).my dad has since returned to Nigeria but his illness is still there with more frequency.I know he is not fully compliant with meds. But lately,am beginning to doubt the`diagnosis because now about 3times in a month,he wakes up in the middle of night, becomes confused, has urinary incontinence and bit his tongue and has no memory of his behavior. As a registered nurse,i know this is a medical condition and not spiritual attack as people want to believe.talking to a doctor at my job,he said it could be normal pressure hydrocephalus.what do u think? Comment and suggestion is welcome from all.I will be in NIgeria next week and am making an appointment for him to see a neurologist at lagoon hospital in lagos.help,help,help. |
sorry about ur case, unfortunately, their decision is not appealable.i doubt if an immigration officer can help u.u will end up spending. Not even a United States Senator.when a relative of mine was denied many years ago due signature discrepancy i contacted 2 United States Senators from the state and even they could not help.i know it is hard but this wasn't met to be.if is met to be,it will be.may be your greatness lies in Nigeria or some other country, only time will tell.good luck to u. |
dear doctor, please kindly assist in rendering an opinion that could help a good friend. i have a friend in Lagos whose wife has had four miscarriages in about six years. The last one happened about a month ago.she usually carry the fetus to about four months before the miscarriage.usually the miscarriage is preceded by vaginal bleeding.she doesn't work so not in any stressful condition.with this last pregnancy she was told she had a weak cervix and she had a procedure to close the cervix and was later placed on bedrest for about a month before the losing the baby right there in the hospital.so,i need a medical advise.does anyone know a specialist ob/gyn in Lagos or Nigeria?should they seek the advice of a fertility expert?i heard there is one in Lagos.should they try again without knowing the cause of these miscarriages.does any one has any recommended test/opinion that could assist her Nigeria doctors.i look forward to answers to all these questions from men and women of goodwill. it will delight my friend's wife to know that the world cares attempt her condition and that collectively we will try and solve this misery.i will print all responses to her to read.i thank u all. |
i meant she has a weak cervix and surgery was done to close the cervix but that did not stop the bleeding. |
