Shantyken:kama? |
We have started watching. Ballots are being dropped. First ballot in.
|
press9jatv:Nearly there. |
press9jatv:Could be and might not be. It all depends on Americans. We can only speculate and ................. |
State by state results would be dropped here and College votes updated per time here as each state is officially called by independent media houses and not even projected wins. |
press9jatv:Well by Wednesday morning, we will see. I think democrats learnt their lessons from 2016. They've got the assured popular votes but they have been doing some wonderful jobs like they did during Biden's campaign to flip a lot of battle ground states. Ask me, they have a winning template to replicate and boom. Trump card was just blackmail and a bit of racism. My opinion though. I kuku don't have one single vote in the matter but really interested in it. We will be following. |
As the world await the most popular election in the great America, I'll put up a write up and then follow up with live updates as we are less than 48 hours into the most contested election this year. The Candidates 1. Kamala Harris Known for her famous quote ''At every step of the way, I’ve been guided by the words I spoke from the first time I stood in a courtroom: Kamala Harris, For the People". In 2004, Vice President Harris was elected District Attorney of San Francisco. In 2010, Vice President Harris was elected Attorney General of California where she oversaw the largest state justice department in the country. She took on those who were preying on the American people, winning a $20 billion settlement for Californians whose homes had been foreclosed on and a $1.1 billion settlement for students and veterans who were taken advantage of by a for-profit education company. In 2017, she was sworn into the United States Senate where she championed legislation to fight hunger, provide rent relief, improve maternal health care, expand access to capital for small businesses, revitalize America’s infrastructure, and combat the climate crisis. On January 20, 2021, Kamala Harris was sworn in as Vice President – the first woman, the first Black American, and the first South Asian American to be elected to this position. As Vice President, she has worked to bring people together to advance opportunity, deliver for families, and protect fundamental freedoms across the country. 2. Donald Trump Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021 Mr. Trump announced his candidacy for the Presidency on June 16, 2015. He then accepted the Republican nomination for President of the United States in July of 2016, having defeated 17 other contenders during the Republican primaries. On November 8, 2016, Mr. Trump was elected President in the largest Electoral College landslide for a Republican in 28 years. Mr. Trump won more than 2,600 counties nationwide, the most since President Ronald Reagan in 1984. He received the votes of more than 62 million Americans, the most ever for a Republican candidate. In 2020, his handling of the world pandemic ''Covid 19'' was tagged as a major contributing factor to his big loss to the current president; Joe Biden. He never conceded till date and that led to him mobilising his fanatical supporters to truncate and stop the election validation on the 6th of January, 2021. HOW THEY CURRENTLY STAND Age: Donald Trump is currently 78 years old while Harris is currently 60 years old. Looking at how the western political world is shifting towards the younger generation, Harris is favoured by this. Currently being seen as one of them, the Genz are all in for a young mind. Track Record: Most Americans are majorly concerned about economy. Donald Trump was believed to have performed extremely well economically before his poor handling of the pandemic that plunged the country into so many issues that cost him his presidency. On the other hand, Kamala Harris though the Vice to Biden has enjoyed unspeakable critics of the current rate of inflation in the country amongst other things. Scandals: Currently being tagged a felon with 34 counts against his name excluding many other scandals, Donald Trump who rode vigorously on Hillary Clinton's Email scandals back in 2016 is still trying to find his grip. Kamala Harris on the other end, has enjoyed a scandal free campaign which makes her the favourite for those who are morally driven. Endorsements: Kamala Harris has been enjoying the biggest form of endorsements from Hollywood major players, to renowned sport stars, to former political office holders and even former Republicans with loads of them having worked with Donald Trump at a time. Trump has got good endorsements as well, from the current richest man in the world, Elon Musk, to some other celebrities but has recently lost some endorsements as well. VERDICT: The election is still being seen as a toss and believed could go in either direction. The world is watching how this whole election would end. LET THE RACE FOR 270 ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTES BEGIN. The most recent breaking news is that vice president Harris, is currently leading in Iowa. What does this means? It's been a known fact for decades that whoever wins Iowa, most likely would be sitting in the White house by January 20. This has really unsettled a lot of RNC strategists.

donleo92:Sympathy vote is if he can win the primaries. Mind you that stage is always party based. It's a function of delegates. Delegates will go with highest bidder and who can secure their future political hunger. If he can cross that stage, then he might get the sympathy vote. Wike has a grip on both PDP and APC in Rivers state coupled with federal backing. The state election is during the presidential election period and presidency won't play kite and ludo with the votes there just like wonders happened there during the last elections. |
crossfm:Funny how you didn't ask him to study Ambode Vs Tinubu or Oyetola vs Aregbesola cases. Politics isn't two plus two equals four. The sitting president now isn't Buhari. He's as ruthless as Obasanjo. My only concern is the citizens of Rivers state paying for the immaturity of two adults. Well Nigerians deserve the type of leaders they vote in. |
illicit:Like fubara or shaibu of Edo? |
Elieh:He was the main cause of all these issues. I am 100% against godfatherism but it requires wisdom and accurate timing to fight as a god son. It was just way too early for him. The only few people on his side are the internet warriors. The real politics is onground and he doesn't stand a chance. He hasn't even bought over loyalist before he embarked on this journey. The way almost all the commissioners resigned coupled with how the majority of the house didn't support him shows he's fighting a lost battle. This is not an election that the masses can decide what happens, this is a real intra party political wahala. |
Starships4u:If sanusi is wise, he will keep his mouth shut. Most of them should learn from Tinubu. All these chochocho like little girls. He needs to know that the next governorship election in kano is barely 3 years away. What will he say if ganduje and his people win the state again? Anything that has an expiry date around it should never be taken as a do or die affair. One needs to be careful. Ganduje that was doing almighty before is no more in power now although he can say he's the national chairman of the biggest party. |
wolesmile:The office where he sits at the PDP national office has a big picture of the current president of the federal republic of Nigeria there. If he likes let him call him Bola. The pen President Tinubu is putting to papers determines Atiku's citizenship for the next 3 1/2 years. Punch called president buhari MAJOR GENERAL Buhari for almost 6 years. Didn't change anything. Reality and personal opinions or stand are two different things. |
TokunboCarsOnly:Well, only if you polish up your English. |
Pristine664:Two answers for you. 1. I can bet you with ten million naira that there are thousands of extremely healthy youths that would have broken down health wise if they had gone through similar rigorous campaign schedules. That man was not sleeping all through. Did you see how he was walking after he won the apc primaries? Travelling everywhere and having series of meetings while his phone will be ringing every second. Ko easy Man. 2. Forget all these noise and news of Nigeria being a poor country money dey this country. We are talking about the number one citizen of this country. The kind first class services and attention he's getting is unspeakable. Forget the TV pictures or videos. If you saw Obasanjo one on one when he was president, the skin pure pass small baby own. |
soccerlite:K |
soccerlite:I Don hear you. |
soccerlite:These new crops of leaders globally are reasonably alike. In sane countries, what distinguishes them majorly but not totally is that they have a system put in place by previous leaderships who loved the masses which restricts them to an extent. If you Critically assess and study most of the policies being rolled out in this dispensation, the impact will be terrible in years to come. |
That's how they all see we the masses. Their own votes don't matter they only go to their polling units to vote just for the media paparazzi capturings. They all know we are their sheep and they are the shepherd. If a politician that didn't vote himself could have the effrontery to be crying on every tv station about how he was rigged out, then it shows they just see us the masses as an object. Reminds me of trump in the US who votes by mail himself but was telling his followers that they use mail voting to rig elections that they shouldn't vote by mail. He was too lazy to walk down to a pooling box and cast his votes but just feeding his followers comes Cand B stories. See everyone should just strive to make ends meet and personally conquer poverty and do well for yourself. Leaders are all the same in most countries now. They will sort themselves and their families/friends before they remember the masses if anything is left. The forefathers of democracies in various countries had the people in mind but these new crops of leaders are dangerously selfish and we do their bids and kill ourselves for them. |
BluntCrazeMan:Some of them just open their mouths and talk anyhow. To discuss objectively is a problem since they hardly read into details just headlines and boom they start making nosies. Tomorow now, his village people will push him into politics, the same village people will start digging his past. |
fullclub:If you stay anywhere near the west Midlands, I can assist the dependent among the two of you with a job ASAP aa you need one urgently based on my recommendation. But I CAN'T assist the student among the two of you because of the limited number of hours on that visa. |
So I did the return trip for 2hrs 25 mins. Came back pretty late so I went to refill my tank on my way back from work today. Pictures below show mileage before I filled up and how many litres I used to fill up. So I did a total of 362 miles and I filled up with 45.52 litres. Which means I burnt 12.56 litres for every 100 miles which is like saying I burnt 12.56 for every 161 kilometers
|
Well, my trip was to be 3hrs, 21mins, I ended up doing it in about 4hrs 10mins all thanks to Friday traffic. Everywhere just dey slow. Quarter tank gone. Return trip will be at a time of the day with lesser traffic. Let's see what my mpg will be after I refill. |
So tank filled to the top with picture attached and first trip of 152 miles starts. Then coming back few days time and I will fill up immediately I'm back to calculate my usage. Picture of engine type also posted. Mind you it's a Lexus IS250.

SMoh247:Lol😂😂😂😂 |
Malroux:Are you suggesting deportations? 😂😂😂 |
Malroux:Lagos can't be turned into........ Good job by the state government. Individuals should contribute their neatness efforts into making the environment decent. We grew up doing all these on daily basis and in a large scale on Saturdays. Sanitisation enforcement should come back strong. |
Whao. So many news about this tribunal. Cases in courts are just too many. Politicians are just having funs on both ends. Lawyers smiling to the bank. |
Dshocker:Lol. Take care |
Dshocker:Drop any number and collect free credit or go and rest |
Dshocker:Begi Begi drop your phone number and 5k credit immediately. That's for a start. Don't be ashamed drop it. |
