The Boris Johnson who has been sacked like his predecessors Theresa May and David Cameron by Britons who hold their leaders at the local, state and federal levels accountable, even religious and business leaders are held accountable by the law and expectations of ordinary folks who continuously scrutinise their actions.
Just praying to get it right is not in line with the fact that faith/prayers without works is dead.

Theresa may and Cameron were not sacked. Also thinking the Western counties are better. Than us is a joke. Did you see yesterday when Trump's former CFO pleaded guilty to 15 felonies charges and testified under oath to doing it? Guess what? He got less than a year in jail for 15 felonies charges he personally pleaded guilty to. There are young boys and girls spending over 5 years for just one felony offence. Corrupt system with corrupt leaders. Politicians are all the same in this present generation. We just overhype the white coloured ones. The are crooks as well.

I still repeat it this that if not for their forefathers and a working system they all met, they are in no way or ways better than ours here. They are bloody selfish set of leaders.

So what makes their own society so different with politicians who are accountable, such that we are voluntarily exporting our different resources to them like the one talent guy in the Jesus parable

Accountable? Like Boris Johnson? I tell people that the luck the western countries have is their forefathers. See,, if they reset this whole world for all countries to start from scratch, with these same set of leaders, they will suffer. If you see stupid decisions being made by riff raffs calling themselves leaders. Only if African countries can just have reasonable leaders we can do better than most of. These. Countries. Go to sainsbury, ALDI, tesco etc and see vegetables and silly items imported from far countries. They can't. Even feed themselves like us. I just pray we get it right in 2023

Is it because we are all 200 million mumus as Lagbaja sang, even though we sabi do swaga like sey we dey sharp

My submission goes beyond 200 million mumus. Have you been following the UK PM election campaigns? Both Riahi and Liz are not even talking about what their parties have done in years. They are just saying I will, I will, I will. You hardly even hear them say our party will. Iit is just the way politics works..

He should be making noise online instead of entering streets and rural places where results will come from to canvass votes for Atiku. He hasn't learnt from his recent defeat. He thinks fighting keyamo online is how Atiku can win? Their problem, their headache.

Nigeria. I still don't understand how the average Nigerians earning less than 30k a month manage to live. It is a divine miracle and heavenly assistance. Coupled with the prices of everything? As we all clamour and demand for good leadership at the federal level we shouldn't forget the local govt and state level too. Councilors, House of assembly and the others.

As of today, if Tinubu dies now(He won't die IJN), he will be more celebrated than a newly born baby as of today. And as of today, if you die(you won't die IJN), do you know how sorrowful and unfortunate it will be for your family? Someone has lived a fulfilled life till 70, you that you haven't seen half of the years he has spent is wishing him death. What assurance do you have that you will live to see 2023 elections?

Very stupid of him to have done that. I tell people that the main reason why racism still exists is because of black people. Until you live in a place dominated by blacks and whites mixed together in a community, you won't really understand racism.

He actually stated the some obvious facts before making that statement. I just watched the entire interview this morning, Fasola is an epitome of leadership and knowledge. Very intelligent and practical discussion. I love listening to people like him. In my opinion, I will rate him over the VP Osibanjo. He has very wide experience in governance.

We once went to excursion in Afam power plant. They told us same thing. It's a pity.

We invested a lot of money into AFAM but so pathetic a government like ours messed it up. I think the mistake we made on our own part in shell was overrating government with the transmission plans. We should have secured and negotiated the transmission contract alongside the generation .

I agree with the decentralisation plan but many of the states in Nigeria are not viable to build and operate electricity on their own. i this Electricity should be regional and local government-driven

States just need to open the doors for private companies to come in and let them have a very peaceful space to operate without having to commit one naira from the states' accounts into it. No JV or whatsoever, solely private driven because moment they have shares inside, it will be about their pockets first and not the masses anymore. Bunch of useless and selfish leaders.

Is it not Tinubu that brought all the people in charge of the country today which includes power that you are supporting, so you now want Tinubu to rule to bring the same people to handle what we have experienced for 8 years and you expect anything to change....

Buhari, Fashola and co are they not Tinubu's people? And Tinubu sold them twice to Nigerians...

Can you trust someone who sells a bad product to you twice?

Tinubu brought in Obasanjo and PDP that couldn't do anything about NEPA and later privatized it? It is high time we stopped blaming parties and hold individuals responsible for all these. Our useless senators and reps what have they been doing in Abuja all this while that has been benefiting their constituencies? We need to stop all this beer parlor blame game and really be objective and constructive in discussing the issues facing this country cos these leaders and their families ain't feeling any thing.
Politics / Re: FG’s 10,000MW Power Generation Target Under New Threat by chloedogie(m): 8:30am On Jul 25, 2022
God help Nigeria. Govt should decentralize this power sector. Let states and local governments or communities who can lure private investors in do so and be disconnected from the national power grid. If an investor can come to generate, transmit and distribute to a certain number of communities let them do it. Come to countries overseas and see hundreds of different power companies serving different people. On my street alone there are like 4 different companies serving less than 20 houses. You have the right to choose which one favours your pocket.

Obasanjo fought the Lagos state government for wanting to do it way back if I'm correct. Imagine that Lagos state had been able to execute that project and are off the national grid, won't there be sufficient power to be distributed to the remaining states that are not proactive or financially strong to carry out similar projects? And I want to believe that if Lagos state had been able to successfully execute that, mark the words ''if'' and ''successfully'', some states too would have just had a simple template to copy and paste.

I worked for shell sometimes ago and there is this power generating station called AFAM that had a JV with Nigerian government. The annoying thing is that AFAM was only able to to send out less than 40% of what it was generating due to terrible transmission line being managed by govt/TCN. Sometimes less than 20% will go out and the plant was fully operating. Power was just lying wasted in the plant. Even the few that we were able to send out, for government to be able to keep up to its own part of the MOU by paying was a war. Funds were not coming in and generation production was gulping huge money.

Honest facts he stated. When I used to go to Deidei cow market once every month with my neighbor to buy fresh animals to be killed, they transact online with funds and communicate business on WhatsApp in their large numbers but you don't see them stuck with all these social media or engrossed with it in the market. On the other hand when you visit markets like Apo mechanics and Apo or Gudu spare parts markets dominated by............... you see them doing their own trading seriously as well but still engrossed in social media things showing each other different things on the internet. For me, Reno stated the obvious facts. Those Hausas listen and get their info from their radios just like my 78 year old professor father prefers to buy 5 daily newspapers everyday rather than read over 20 pdf soft copies I send to him on daily basis.

Can you please share that video. I know i saw Davido greeting but it was Saraki, Obaseki and Bayelsa gov I saw and his own dad.
Politics / Re: Dino Melaye Mocks APC, Ayetola And Tinubu As PDP Wins Osun Election by chloedogie(m): 6:38am On Jul 18, 2022
He has all the right to because it was a hard fought one. But I'm not sure he was in the state till after the results were fully out unlike the Sarakis and other governors that stood by Adeleke. They learnt from their mistake in 2018 when they just all came and left Adeleke to his own fate. Dino is an online noise maker. The real warriors are Davido, his dad, Saraki, bayelsa gov, obaseki and other gladiators. And the main characters are the people of Osun.

I pray and hope Adeleke performs sha because Osun has lost her glorious days since the time of Aregbesola. He crippled that state. He has a major task ahead of him.
