Sala's tragic death always bring tears to my eyes each time I read anything about his death. Such a painful death. The guy was cut short in his prime. Rest well Mr. Sala. May God console ur parents, siblings and loved ones at this time of grief. Thank God that ur body was recovered otherwise the grief will be too much for ur parents to bear. God knows all. Rest in peace!

I have never seen deceptiveness playing out like this before . Atiku will go to south east and south south and been shouting that he is the Mr. Restructure that they have been waiting for but the same man keeps mute on restructure if he goes to the north. It baffles me that as old as Mr Edwin Clark is, he believed that Atiku will restructure Nigeria hence their endorsement.Spits.... I have never seen where socio cultural group endorses a candidate only for a faction to come out and deny the endorsement. Is it that the dollar sharing did not reach the other faction? GEJ shared dollars to all of them for endorsement in 2015 and there was no faction that came out to deny the endorsement still he lost the election. Atiku said that he was moved to tears after these endorsement denials that kept on coming day in and out . Sincerely I advise him to save the tears after Feb 16.

South-south and South-east: My Thought On PDP stronghold –

PDP have consistently won 60% or more of the total votes since 2003 in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Imo and Rivers.

In the last election, PDP got about 50% of their total votes from these states, 6,892,762 votes. The party received 80% or more from each state; the highest was Anambra with 98.5%. But what are the chances of PDP/Atiku repeating the 2015 feat next week in their stronghold?

Personally, I believe PDP have lost some ground in most of these states, if not all.

• In Anambra, Governor Obiano is not hiding his affection for President Buhari and not shying away from publicly promoting the achievements of the Buhari Government in the state and south east as a whole. PDP won the state with 98.5% of the total votes in the last election, I strongly believe this time around, the state could easily swing in favour of either of the two major parties.

• Imo, despite the obvious friction in Imo APC, the incumbent Governor is still solidly behind President Buhari and APC as far as the presidential election is concerned. I doubt if that support will be readily available in the Gubernatorial election especially. I believe APC have a better chance of winning this state.

• In Akwa Ibom and Delta, APC has successfully formed some great alliances and the party seem united in both states. In 2015, PDP secured 2.2 million votes from both states compare to APC 107,321. With the two states boasting 4,965,001 registered voters, an increase of over 1 million newly registered from last election, there is all to play for. I believe PDP will still win both states. I do not honestly believe APC is strong enough to win either state in this election, but I am confident the party will do exceptionally well, which will be nothing compare to the 2015 result.

• No doubt APC have gained some ground in Abia, cross river, Enugu, Bayelsa and Ebonyi, they are not significant enough for the party to win any of those states. PDP will still retain these states but not in a way they will want to. In the last election, PDP had about 90% of total votes in all these states, I don’t see that happening in this election. APC will comfortably secure at least the required 25% in all, and looking at the voting record of these states, it would be considered a decent outing for APC.

• Rivers state, the crown jewel of PDP stronghold with 3,215,273 registered voters. In the last election, PDP had 95% of total votes (1,487,075 votes) compare to APC 4.4% (69,238 votes). Thanks to Amaechi, Abe and co, they have successfully made a mess of APC’s chances in the state. Even though I do honestly believe PDP will win the state, I also believe APC will perform far better than they did in 2015.

At the end of the day, south-south and south-east will remain a PDP stronghold, at least the time being. Though PDP is still firmly entrenched in these two regions, but with Imo state out of their grip, and both main parties having a 50-50 chance of winning Anambra state, this is enough to worry PDP. It says a lot on how deep APC has encroached into their territory. APC secured only about 5% of total votes in SS and SE in 2015, and they still won the election. If they manage to secure about 35-40% in this election, which believe they will, it would be considered a great success. If I were PDP supporter, I would be worried.
I agree with u to some extent but I must say that the PDP will not be able to post those outrageous figures they quoted in 2015 becos there is no more federal might. Infact we will now know what exactly happened in the south south elections in 2015 this year. Wike and Patience Jonathan used federal might in rivers to dislodge Ameachi who couldnt even vote that day. I pray that rivers apc crisis will be resolved today so that both factions team up and gather more votes for PMB. Let me be clear that if Ameachi should use federal might in rivers election, there is no way wike will survive it. They will tell him to go to court. Wike and Patience Jonathan rigged election in rivers in 2015. Patience was in rivers in that election instead of being in balyesa with her husband. Thats why he has been shouting that they will resist any rigging in the state becos he knew how he won the state.

xarm:
How can a man be so greedy to the extent of taking the senatorial ticket that belongs to another man and still wants his puppet to become the governor in his state?
The above is the case of Governors Rochas Okorocha of Imo State and Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State.
You took the senatorial ticket of Hope Uzodinma of Imo West Senatorial district and you still want your son-in-law to be the gubernatorial candidate of the party in Imo State? Only the greedy Iberibe of Imo politics can do that.
Ditto for Amosun who took the senatorial ticket of Senator Lanre Tejuosho of Ogun Central and still wanted his puppet, Hon. Akinlade, to be the governorship candidate of the APC in the state. Haba! Who does that?
In spite of Okorocha and Amosun's sacrifices to the party, how can they personalize everything that belongs to the party? I honestly have no qualms with how Oshiomhole stopped them in their greed.
In politics, compromise is key, in the interest of progress. You leave one for one. You can't monopolize everything. That's why it is a political party.
President Buhari could have influenced his brother-in-law to become APC gubernatorial candidate in Adamawa State, but he declined. He allowed the incumbent Governor to have a second term.
It is obvious Buhari does not like Governor Bello Masari of Katsina State, his home state, but he allowed him to have his ticket for a second term. That's compromise.
Every member is important in a party. The more, the merrier.
Good analysis. Amosun is to blamed for what happened yesterday. It was unfortunate that he invited his thugs in APM to throw plastics at Dapo when PMB raised his hands upon PMB told them to vote whoever they like acrosss the state since it is their right. Amosun I believed will be disciplined in due course but for now , its election time. Fake rumour mongers , the PDP saying that PMB was pelted with stones are only but fools. If i did not watch the incident yesterday on channels news , I would have been thinking that it might be true though I never believed anything coming out from the looters party. The way they will change and framed what happened to another thing will shock u to ur bone marrow. The plastic that I saw being throw was meant for Dapo when PMB raised his hand. APM were slighted at seeing PMB raising Dapo hand so they resulted in throwing things at Dapo and never PMB. So fake news monger should face their campaign. For sure, PMB will coast home to victory by GODs grace.

I watched what happened in Ogun state today on channels tv. Amosun is to be blamed for what transpired. U cannot be in one party and be supporting a candidate in another party. This is nothing but anti party activity . And I also blame PMB for not telling Amosun and Okorocha to support the candidate the party adopted becos the partys interest is supreme above any individual interest. As fake news carrier, the Pdp said that PMB and Oshomiole were pelted with stone. This is fallacy. I only saw a plastic bottle that was thrown which I believed was been thrown at Dapo Abiodun, the APC candidate in Ogun by APM thugs when PMB raised his hand .Amosun should be disciplined in due course but for now, the focus is on election. For those that have been sprewing gibberish that its becos of what Tinubu said about OBJ. It is a pure lie. It has nothing to do with OBJ becos he is not loved by his people.

Whether Onnogen resign as CJN or not it will still not stop the arraignment. There is no big deal about him appearing anyway.Saraki appeared as a sitting senate president and it didn't take away anything from him.
I am of the opinion that the CJN should not be docked. It will finally descrates the office of the CJN and not Onnoghen and also spell doom for the judiciary. U cannot compare Saraki with CJN. The office of the CJN is the most sensitive and any little thing done to it will further tarnish the image of the seat and not necessarily the occupier. I said it before that onnoghen should have resigned and save himself from all this embarrasement. Wole Olanepekun's meeting the chief of staff so that rhe CJN should not be docked on Monday since the NJC will give judgement on the case that same next week is the best thing a smart lawyer can do in this case and I commend him for that. I want to use this opportunity to plead with PMB not to allow the CCT dock the CJN on Monday, rather lets wait for the NJC recommendation this week since they have issued him a querry . His tactics really put a question mark on him couple with the fact that he postponded the judicial meeting indefinitely. Haba, blame Onnoghen and not PMB. Same crude tactics he used to frustrate NJC meeting, he will continue to deploy to protect himself. What a shameless man. He ought to have resigned.
My dear, thats a good analysis of the case. I dont understand why people are ranting. How will the CJN be a judge on his own case. The man already have started frustrating everything by hiring up to 90 SANS to defend him thereby using delay tactics and intimidation to subvert justice and also suspending the NJC meeting indefinitely thereby holding the judiciary at ransom. People are saying that its only the NJC that can remove him but the question they have not answer is this, who is the chairman of NJC ? Of course the CJN is the chairman of the NJC and he will still be the one that will appoint judges for the case. Wont u expect a biased judgement on this. Had it been that it was another judge probably one of the justice of supreme or appeal court, then the CJN can wade into the case and appoint judges that will work on the case. PMB is not a dullard and for me since the CJN refused to excuse himself for a proper trial, the best thing to do is to suspend him pending when his trial is concluded .As a man of honour, he should know that he can never be a judge on his own case and would have left since and save himself from this embarrasement and heating of the polity but Nigerian mentality of business as usual will never allow him to do the right thing coupled with his affinity with the PDP for help during 2019 election tribunal cases becos the way they are crying up and down , u will not have any doubt that they have something to do with the man. PMB has dashed their hope the second time after failing to ascent to their ridiculous electoral act bill.

They were lucky ,they got away with the 2015 robbery, there won't be a repeat in 2019. cool

this is fantastic. Exactly my thought. The former CJN is highly compromised if not how can Wike win at supreme court when high court and appeal nullify his election. PDP should cry us a river. Their Dubai strategy has been totally destroyed by PMB. I am very sure that PMB has been sensing that PDP has been using Onnoghen to win cases that they are not supposed to win and he decided to put a stop to it. One wonder why PDP are crying since the man is not an inec chairman and its not as if there is no other competent judge that can take up his position. PDP Dubai strategy is dead on arrival. They plan to change the electoral act to suit their plan, PMB dashed their hope by refusing to assent to it. They cry foul and PMB was not even moved by their outcry. That one gone, now their next plan is to use Onnoghen thru Justice Mary Odili to perfect their plans. PMB still outsmart them at the dying minute. And some people will say that he is dullard. No, never he is not. The man knows what he is doing and besides Saraki thought him a lesson so he does not want to take chances. When people are complaining like this, it means the leader is in the right direction. Nigeria and its people will never change. They will always want to do things in their own way. Things have to be done differently in this country for once. Like I said before, CJN played into the FG hands by failing to declare his foreign account and the rest and as a person with his status, he should have step aside for law to take its course. Thats Nigerian mentality, they will never go unless u pushed them away. In the western world, the accused chief justice would have resigned once there is a corruption allegation against him but here in Nigeria, no way. The person will just stay put until disgraced out of office. His supension is painful but the right thing should be done without fear or favour. This will definitely send message to other judges that corruption of any kind will not be tolerated. And for PDP that are ranting, I ask them this question, why defend anything corruption? Ur reaction to anything corruption shows that u are synonymous with corruption and will always embrace corruption. Na wa oooh

You have made a valid point. I know myself that it is dicey that the NJC would recommend him for suspension but what the executive has done is worse.

What they should have done is to keep pursuing the case at CCT. Also, the CCT can not make an order that is beyond its power. The Constitution is the ground norm- like the father in the house, the CCT- like a child, cannot make an order that would conflict with that of the Constitution.

Also, assuming but not conceding that the CCT has those powers, the question I would ask is when was the application to ask him to step aside moved.?

There are a lot of intrigue, I pray this would not cause trouble ahead.
To be honest with u, the CJN played into FG hands. Why would u not declare ur foreign account and the rest and u admitted that it was a mistake and forgetfulness. For him to acknowledged that , at least it means that no one framed him up. The best thing for him to do knowing that his position is a sensitive one is to step aside without even waiting for anyone to tell him to do so. How can he claim ignorance of what PMB said that the headache he has fighting corruption is the judiciary. The CJN position is a very sensitive one and no system in the world tolerate a cjn with corruption case hanging on his neck for even a day or allow him to continue his duties. Lets not be setimental here, why didnt he appear at the CCT even if he feels that they dont have the powers to try him or is he above the law. Oh I forgot that his brothers ,the south south governors told him to stay away. It is good for one to apply wisdom in ones dealing with people and that will not make the person a fool. Rather than appearing and defending himself, he went ahead to make a mockery of CCT by hiring up to 50 SANs making it look like he is guity and wanted an escape route. CCT feels that his action was a contempt of their proceedings and recommended his suspension and not removal or sack .My dear, his suspension is very painful but things have to be done right to serve as a deterrent to other judges,

This is painful but let the truth be told, Onnoghen played into FG's hand. For the wailing wailers, recall that PMB said that his headache on the fight against corruption is the judiciary. So it then means that he will not tolerate any judge that has any corruption case .CJN can never claim ignorance of this. Why did he listen to the south south Governors telling him not to appear in CCT, is he above the law? Even if he failed to appear out of his own judgement but it looked as if he was acting a script drafted by the governors. Let the governors place him back as the CJN lets see. Sometimes, u apply wisdom in ur dealings with people and that will not make u a fool. He should have appeared to defend himself at least people will see that he does not have anything to hide. Now the CCT has found this as a contempt of their proceedings and requested for his suspension. Believe this, he wouldnt have been suspended had it been he appeared in the court to the surprise of eveyone. Another side of this is that Onnoghen behaves as if he is a card carrying member of PDP. As a CJN, u have to be neutral. There is something fishy about his relationship with Wike and other south south Governors thats why they were running helter skelter when the news about his asset declaration came up. Something is definelty wrong somewhere and PMB sensing that decided to do the needful becos is like the CJN has been compromised. Someone that is compromised can never give an unbiased judgement. Awon ole jati jati..

grin grin
This is the first time in Nigeria since 1999 that money rs not flying everywhere. Election less than a month and everywhere is dry. Remember that most Nigerians always hope for this period so that they can get money from politicians. Had it been it was during PDP era, Obj and GEJ would have opened the CBN vault and share the money. Do u know how much dollars that GEJ shared in Lagos only in 2015 talkmore of the ones he shared in other states. Atiku is not finding it easy becos he cannot bring in illicit funds to avoid embarrasement and thats why he is yet to give Kwankwaso the 1billion that he requested for campaign in kano. Other Governors are being extremely careful the way they spend money to avoid EFCC knocking on their doors. And somebody somewhere in Ota is castigating PMB. And the reason for his useless letter is becos PMB refuse to encourage his fraudulent activities or protect his interest and the man is crying like a baby. May God continue to bless PMB , give him sound health of mind and body, direct and protect him so that he will continue steering the affairs of this country, amen. PMB till 2023, Insha Allah !

PassingShot:
Obasanjo is a frustrated nonentity, a dying horse having his last kicks.

This is the first time in his political life he is swimming against the tide and he will surely be swept away by feBuhari 16th. He knows it and it's the reason he is very frustrated, the level has never gotten to this in his life.

He floated ADC, the party failed to get any national traction.
He created CUPP, the coalition broke down before taking off.
He said it was a 3rd Force, no force about that one.
Now he's supporting the kleptomaniac he called the devil for more than 10 years and the old fool expected sensible Nigerians to support him?

If Obasanjo wins his polling booth for PDP/Atiku, I will deactivate my account!
Gbam ! This says a lot about OBJ. All na true. Obj wouldnt have tolerated Saraki and Dogara a day. Infact if the senators and house of reps refused to remove them after giving them Ghana must go bags to do his bidding, he will use EFCC against them. PMB is good walahi. Obj would have remove them after two days. I am sure the pains OBJ has against PMB is becos he refused to be controlled by the Ota man. Also he stop all those fraud that has be going on that favours Obj. Finallly Obj never wanted anyone to beat his record of being former Head of state and two time democratically elected presidentt. He was frustrated becos he cannot stop PMB due to the mammooth crowd that receives him in each state he visited, thats why he want to discredit him by writing useless lettters. But Nigerians are wise. Let me tell u guys one thing , Obj that is supporting Atiku after tellng us the man was a thief will still go against him if he managed to win and wanted a second term. But God will not even allow that to happpen . Obj, pls go bed and sleep.

Seeing the mamooth crowd that came out for PMB in Kaduna, Niger, Plateau and the rest did not go down well with Obj hence this attack to divert attention. Also for slams against AtIku's failure to debate despite arriving the venue. I dont know why Obj never wanted anyone to beat his record as a former head of state and two time democratically elected preidesent. Tufialwa ! Deep inside Obj , he knows that PMB is unstoppable thats why he devised a new way to attack him. But no one takes him seripus again. In respite of rigging election, it amazes me that the master rigger is accusing someone of rigging. No one has forgotten the 2003 and 2007 elections under him. Even Yaradua he riggged in acknowledged that the election that brought him to power was massively rigged. God bless his soul. Obj, pls shut up.

Coming from the same man, who appointed Maurice Iwu as INEC Chairman, who in inturn supervised the most fraudulent election ever known to mankind...

Obasanjo is a frustrated senile dictator, who thought, he could sway voters against Buhari, because he refused to open the treasury for Obasanjo's friends and concubines to loot.

Consequently, having seen the way majority of Nigerians are responding to the Next Level message being preached by Buhari in few states he has visited like Akwaibom, Bauchi, Kaduna, Kogi, Delta, Niger, Edo and Plateu States, the old paranoid useless man smelt defeat for his discredited preferred Candidate who he laboured and paid millions of dollars to get American visa for, the idiotic man has resorted to throwing wild, Unverified and panic stricken accusations like a rain beaten wolf...

Sorry, Obasanjo, in Buhari;
You will be retired.
You will be curbed.
You will be relegated.
Your ego will be bruised..
You will be rendered a useless owu man..

May God Bless President Muhammadu Buhari...

Onto the Next Level, We Are Heading To!

Nigerians Sai Baba!
Gbam, nice one ! Sai Buhari

Look at how some of these idiots are insulting us. I wonder who behaved closely like Abacha. Obasanjo or buhari. This is a man that used state institutions to fight everybody that disagreed with him.

Under this old fool, Harry Marshall was killed, bola Ige was killed. and the Accused was packaged from prison and he became a senator While the case was made to die a natural death till today without being tried. This same ugly old fool ordered for the wipe out of a whole udi community in bayelsa state.

This same old animal sponsored violence in states where governors disagreed with him and subsequently declared state of emergency in those states. Because of his disagreement with Tinubu the then Lagos state governor, he seized the local government allocations for years. In fact, Obasanjo is the least of the past leaders required to talk about abuse of power. The same abuse of power that made him crippled every aspect of government just for his selfish third term bid. He should berry his ugly face in shame.
Thank God for Ken Nnamani that said no to the third term agenda of this big fool after supplying the senate with loads of Ghana must go filled with money. Imagine, this man criticising PMB, wonders shall never end. This man cleared all men in Odi Bayelsa state and that is crime against humanity. This man wanted eveyone to do his bidding. If you refuse, he will start writing u letters claiming that u are going off track. Tufiakwa ! He thought PMB is like Jonathan that he will mess up, No, PMB is a retired General like him so he cannot pocket PMB.
