This idiots forgot that the Supreme Court is not just any court. They are vested with legislative responsibility through the instrument of judicial precedent.

Law is what the Supreme Court pronounces it to be not what the Legislature passes and Executive assents. The supreme Court has the power to repeal any section of our laws without recourse to the Legislature or Executive, so effectively, Section 140 of the Electoral Act stands repealed.

No law is cast on stone, the Supreme Court can set aside any section of the law, anytime and anyday in the interest of natural justice and continuity of government. If the dude didn't skip his legal classes he would have known that.

The verdict was given about 24 hours before the end of Yari's tenure. If the Supreme Court had called for a fresh election, there would have been a constitutional crisis. Who would have been sworn in as interim Governor?

I am not a lawyer but I think that supreme court goofed on this one. The best bet is to wait after inauguration and order a fresh election. They can still reserve the judgement on a latter date just as they normally do. Giving the sore losers the winner is pure disenfranchisement of the whole state that voted for the APC. The case of Amechi vs Omehia is totally different. Applying the rule of supreme court on zamfara to their case means that Amechi shouldn't have been declared the governor elect but the opposition party that came 2nd in the election. I have never heard of wasted votes before except from this present set of supreme court judges. Just like Sagay suggested, APC should apply for the review of the justice. But I fear that the egoistic nature of the supreme court judges might not allow them to reverse itself. The ruling in Zamfara is unheard of.

I laugh at those saying thay 8billion is a chicken change to GTB. I wonder why they are running from one court to another if the money is too small for them to pay based on their asset base. Let me make it clear, the 8billion naira is too much for any bank in this country to pay out to just one customer including FIrst bank and GTB. How will they explain to their shareholders that they will pay a certain customer the sum of 8billion becos of out of their own negligence? Gbam, I said it earlier. The guy is very inconsistent. Even Kwankwaso will decamp. The reason for their decamp frm apc to pdp is simply becos of presidential ticket which they lost to Atiku. Now that PMB won, they will go back to apc most especially kwankwaso so as to remain relevant becos he has lost everything to apc.

According to Vanguard newspaper for Kano re run. Apc: 45,876, Pdp: 10,239. Inec are still collating the final result. As it stands, Ganduje has been re elected.

For u guys to think that apc will allow kano to go to pdp shows that u guys are politically naive. That will not happen. See the remaining 126k will be shared like this if u like believe it or not. From 126k votes, they will take like 94k votes from it, apc takes 62k votes leaving 32k for pdp. Adding 32k to 26k gives u 58k to the 62k of apc. Apc wins with 4k margin. Case closed. They will tell pdp to go to court. Bauchi and Sokoto margins are too small and can easily be won by apc. The only state pdp will win in this re run are Benue and Adamawa. Bauchi, Sokoto and Kano are for apc. Plateau is already in the bag for apc. From the above, out of the 6 inconclusive states, apc gets Kano, Bauchi, Sokoto and Plateau while pdp gets Benue and Adamawa. U can argue with ur data.

PDP were foolish with Akwa Ibom results. Them and the INEC staff who helped them did an absolutely atrocious job and Akpabio will easily win this case. They waited for 9 LGA results to be counted and collated with only 1 more left, then when they realised he was leading by too many votes to make up with the last LGA, they decided to stall on the announcement of the result only to appear 5hrs into the next day and just announce the PDP candidate as the winner. That is absolutely senseless. That is why they easily got a court injunction stopping INEC from issuing a certificate of return to the "winner". Even result sheets were tampered with and you can see it clearly. Disgraceful.

U dey mind these myopic and ranting pdp pigs on line. I followed the case to the end. Akpabio won that election fair and square. The inec official refused to add the votes from his lga which will override all the votes gotten by ekpenyong. The mandate will be retrieved no doubt about that. All these people castigating Akpabio did not know what happened in the senate elections. See I was very interested in his election and I followed it till the end. If u guys remember that the result was not called immediately, the inec official postponed it till the next day. According to the inec official, when the result were being collated, the pdp guy was leading but when the result from Akpabio's lga came, the figure Akpabio had were too high compared to what they have already collated from other lga. So the inec man said and I quote him, if they should add the lga result from akpabio's lga to the result they have on ground, the result will over shoot that of the pdp guy. For that , he will leave the result as it was till the next day. Now can u imagine what the inec man did, I dont understand what was his interest if Akpabio has the highest result from his lga. Even if it is 100,000 against 5000 , remember he got 1533 against 11 for the pdp for the presidential result in his own polling unit. Why cant inec record the result for him. It is not as if there was no result or there was violence. See these inec officials in the south south were manipulated. The same thing happened to amaechi in rivers, the result of his ikwerre lga were not added and some other places inec claimed that there was no result due to violence. See Akpabio won that election clearly and that was what he said during his interview with Seun in channels tv that inec have not released his result. Remember that he went to court so that inec will not issue a certificate to Ekpenyong. I am very sure that if he did not have a substantial claim to the result the court wouldnt have granted his plea. Thanks.

My dear, I am an igbo lady but the truth must be told ,my people are political naive. They voted Ngige out in 2015 who would have become the senate president as a returning senator and now did the same thing to Andy Uba. So they shouldnt cry foul when they see the obvious staring at their face. Out of hatred for PMB and apc, they voted their own out so they should learn. We can cry from now till June but that will not change the fact that senate has rules for electing their president. I wonder how igbos believe that them and south south region can give Atiku victory in the election. My dear, conduct this election 1000 times, PMB will beat Atiku same times. I knew right from the day they picked Atiku as their candidate and I said that if pdp does that mistake of picking him, that the election will be a walk over for PMB becos Atiku is no match for PMB.
