Why rig if you are popular? Why manipulate results if e sure for you?🤡

Your INEC allies were not rigging for you ? Were you in the field ? You did not have your ppl there ?

So rigging is now the tune ? You didn't rig ? And you think that anyone is going to lie down and watch you do whatever you think ? You are grandstanding on pressing someone's neck in their own base. Then turning around to get mad when they react ?

Most of you forget that the Igbos laid the largest demographics across Nigeria
Ikwerre
Etche
Ndoni
Ogba egbama
Omuma, are all Igbos residing in Rivers state.

Don't as well forget that the Annang people of Akwa ibom are from Igbo extraction, apart from the language the Annang people share every other things similar with the Igbos from traditions, customs and deities. Traditional festivals of the Annang people are very common with the Igbos. Most of the Annang people bear Igbo names such as
Okoro
Okoroafor
Ekereke
Nwankwo
Nneka (meaning motherhood is the greatest)
Udoka

Op always remember that Igbo is not just about the people of the south east alone. There are Igbos in Cross Rivers State
How is Ikwerre Igbo ? Ikwerre identifies politically as Igbo ? Or Ndoni ? Forget ethnological technicalities. I mean Nigerian politics in Rivers. Real life.

Indigenes or foreigners ? You know what I'm getting at. Rivers is like Lagos and Kano, there is a huge outsider base. However, it does not mean that there is equal weighting when it comes down to the realpolitik of things. Esp in a multiethnic Nigeria without any true national consensus.

See you just lost though right ? Do your thing yes, but what is your business with Rivers politics ? Obi is a great guy and we all know nothing will happen to Wike. The past Saturday has seen some interesting developments in Rivers. Traditionally an Igbo heavy demographic area, there has usually been an understanding between SE'ners and the locals. Connections in marriage, business and language have been maintained. Esp, with closely related groups like the Ikwerre, Ndoni, Kalabari, Ekpeye and Etche.

But LP candidate for the House of Reps in PHALGA ? Re-registration of Imo, Anambra indigenes as Rivers voters ? Midnight meetings in Rumuwule, Oyigbo and other places just before the Saturday election and early rejoicing over an Obi victory ? " We go show them."

Many of us have been close to the East. And respect people from there. But at the same time, we remember the Mbaise dominated Odili govt. Then we did not know anything. Today, it is a different case. Nyesom Wike saved our asses, and though the compromise came in the form of a Muslim-Muslim ticket, I think that's a foregone issue now. Everyone is ready to live with it. Peter Obi never agreed to anything concrete, go and ask your elders. Politics is a game of negotiation, compromise and alliances. Not everyone is starstruck, sometimes you need to be clear or at least make promises.

To our Eastern brothers, please respect yourselves and go do your thing in the East. Let peace reign. An Ikwerre, Ogoni or Bonny man cannot take a position in your area. Why take from them ?

We will win on March 11th, but the last thing we want is to be enemies with a culturally similar group like the Igbos....Eastern Region is past tense. This is Rivers State.

Wike is not going anywhere. The visa ban is dead on arrival. He doesn't even use a visa to travel. Do your research.

Oby Ezekwesili Shares Cryptic Post After INEC Issued Tinubu Certificate Of Return

Nigeria's former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili has made a cryptic post after Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) issued a certificate of return to Bola Tinubu as winner of Nigeria's 2023 presidential election, IGBERETV reports.

She wrote on Twitter;

https://twitter.com/obyezeks/status/1631217418998632449?t=1rYIe6EJNGHfows8yjEWMg&s=19[/quote]Best thing is to start planning for 2027. Supreme Courts of Nigeria have never overturned a Presidential election. The courts themselves, as an institution and its personnel, are not sovereign. They are part of Nigerian society and subject to its processes. Now more than ever, the judiciary has been cowed by the Executive. President-elect Tinubu and Vice President-elect Shettima are here for the long run.

Btw Mrs Ezekwesili is not politically important. She cannot think like an effective politician. The election has shown APC's weakness. More ppl voted against them than for them. Start working on alliances now, else 2027 will be another long story. Congrats to the winners.

Make your findings well
Santa Fe is means 'Holy Faith' when translated from Spanish. You are probably referring to Sante Fe in New Mexico. There is also a smaller Santa Fe in Texas. I am referring to Santa Fe, the district in Mexico City with all the new developments. It is a name, not exclusive to any one city. You could also refer to the province of Santa Fe in Argentina. There is a Santa Fe in Granada too. There's probably more I do not know about. Even in Mexico itself.
Much like 'Santiago' or any other generic Spanish place-name starting with San/Santa/Los etc, it is in widespread usage. But also specifically denotes an area in Mexico City (CDMX). I've been there. So I don't really need to make any findings per se.

What's the difference between playing for a Nigerian club side and that of Mexico?

That's because Mexico is almost as wretched as Nigeria.

Anyways, congratulations to them.
Mexico is a trillion dollar economy lol (1.3 trillion) . Not even close. There's actual cities there with infrastructure and good living standards. These include healthcare, education (8th most STEM grads globally) and functioning municipal services. What makes Mexico poor is that the prosperity isn't as widespread as that of USA or western Europe. The 'West' differentiates itself on that note.

Look up neighborhoods in Guadalajara where Tigres are located and see for yourself. Go to Colonia America for e.g.

The Mexican league, for men at least, makes $500 million(USD). Gignac makes about 6million USD playing for Tigres scoring fantastic goals... There's others making seven figures as well. Trust that this girl is living good,. Regardless

It really isn't the same thing. Go to Mexico city and check out Polanco, Chapultepec, Santa Fe and the paseo de la Reforma. Just enter either of these places in your search bar.

I'm not including the multiple coastal resort towns of varying quality.check Cabo San Lucas On tripadvisor or Airbnb to see for yourself.

Jonathan wasn't heavy on the terrorits few weeks before the election. Jonathan was soft on the north trying to please them. Anytime they want to kill terrorists the north will say they are killing their people. Now look where we are.
I understand that. Nigeria has silly ethnic politics on serious issues. Fulani herders are doing the same thing in Mali and the Mande leadership there has teamed up with Wagner Group (Russian PMC) to attack the culprits. You need to see the crybaby that Amadou Koufa has become. And wat is Mali's budget ?

The issue needs a political solution. The loss of livelihoods (climate change and the emergence of formal land tenure) is bringing both economic and psychological trauma on dispossessed groups. Then there is the criminality that it is pushing some of them forward ( rustling, banditry etc). A shame that this has been allowed to affect innocent villagers/rural population.

What is annoying is the "from Libya " comment tossed around. Or " Mauritania." When in actuality the Libyan issue is a case between military factions (all Arab-Berber) and Malian/Nigerien Tuaregs who fight as mercenaries. Mauritanian Fulanis (around the middle senegal river valley) are mostly retreating to Senegal and are actual victims of Arab Mauritanian racism and dispossession. Not gunmen.

This issue is a Fulani herder problem from the immediate vicinity. Mostly local. At the furthest, Niger. They have been allowed to raid villages, capture slaves, ransom people, attack NDA, attack the new rail lines, attack the presidential convoy, kill soldiers, policemen etc. Literally 1845 over there. Look at this nonsense of marrying off little girls? Same thing old lords did. People like Hamman Yaji, Rabih Zubayr etc. Massive shame.

So terrorists have not been operating in Nigeria before the arrival of the APC?
lol deflection. Past two admins saw insecurity rise to a level never seen before in Nigeria. Jonathan didnt tackle BH's military rise and Buhari has failed woefully in the banditry issue. Asking about the incidence of terror in Nigeria pre-2015 or pre-2011 shouldn't be a question.

Look at the degree of military/paramilitary engagement in terms of both equipment and men deployed, the number of IDPs (the rate of displacement included), human cost (civilian and security services) and the destruction of economic and military assets (farms, military equipment, buildings, homesteads and labor power).

On all these grounds, the banditry in the NW and NC never reached the levels of the present. And this isn't loony Islamist fighting, the issue is nested right within the environmental change factor, ethnic chauvinism and poverty alongside a maturing habitus of violence within herders that has been entrenched in the West Africa region (from Mali to Nigeria).

The full extent of the 2015-23 security failures are yet to be understood. There are multiple manifestations of these terrorist leaders, Gide Turji etc. In Mali you have Amadou Koufa and Iyad Ghali (Though a Tuareg not Fulani). Nigeria should have been the one to buck this trend of gangsterism in the Sahel, but it has either embraced it or is so laden with corruption that it cannot organize its vast resources to fight it.

Much different issue from Obasanjo era. He never let any windows stay open for something like this to creep into Nigeria.

But the investment is worth more. It is a naira based investment in Nigeria.

This article is actually calling out Buhari's govt if anything. The grossly inadequate monetary policy and exchange rate stance of his govt.

I'm not for Obi, however this writeup is actually good for him. Check the rate on 5/10 year bonds to measure the merit of the investment.

That investment isn't subject to currency translation risk. Never to be expatriated to foreign accounts. So what is the point ?

Only one way to deal with this Ishaq grin. And keep him far away as well.

He has some questionable relationships and sentiments from his days at Azhar. In today's world his support for Morsi in 2013 can be conjured into something more sinister to implicate him.

If a FG enters that sees him as a bothersome insect , they can collude or entice Egyptian intelligence and security services to set him up.

Invite him for a talk on some or other Islamic symposium in Cairo. Fete him properly. Let him wear his turban and gallivant there. Then simply arrest him either on his way back or at the event. Detain him for questioning...

After all, the Arab republic of Egypt cannot possibly be anti Muslim grin. Claim his Muslim BROTHERHOOD sympathies warrant a second look. I mean he is an Arabophile par excellence, so this is a holiday for him.

Arraign him on the same flimsy charges Pres Sisi (him no dey use eye look brotherhood matter) has MB ppl on.

Mooh247:
You think.... Think again

Check the names of all your rulers

Check the names of all OML and OPL owners

Check GDP per region
You're getting heady off your own hype . Control of Nigeria is compartmentalized. Reducing the Nigeria story to ur simplistic Yoruba/Fulani explanation is incorrect. Fulanis for one control the armed services, ministries and executive leadership. But this is perhaps an oversimplification in itself. As many of the top soldiers, bureaucrats and officials throughout history have been Northern, but not necessarily Fulani. We could say that they (the fulani) have had the most soft power influence over administration. Regardless of the identity of the northerner in charge.

Ofc if u understand Nigeria well and do business in Abj, u will see that agencies and ministries are manned by the ones not strong enough to dominate state politics (non-Muslim, or non-Hausa/Fulani Muslim tribes). Look at NNPC GMDs and other top offices for example.

The other shallow part of ur statement is the GDP part. Lagos will essentially be the driver for any SW GDP rankings. But Lagos is a center for entry into the economy. Transactions are processed there, salaries earned there and decisions taken (by executives of various tribes and nationalities) on energy and gas power projects that are based and operated elsewhere (60% of all deals being on these two areas). The population that constitutes the market and the GDP (buying/selling power) isn't SW'ern. Same applies for PHC. Only real organic commercial center in Nigeria is Kano. It retains its relevance pre- Nigeria and into the present.

Lastly, on OML and OPLs ? What are you talking about ? The sharing of the nation's resources were not necessarily done by Fulani or Yorubas. The govts where the juiciest of these deals were cut were that of IBB and Abacha.. neither Yoruba or Fulani.

The players that emerged from this era, still dominate Oil and Gas today. OML and OPL lists are useless, especially on OPLs. some of which have value only in paper. In fact let's list actual producers. The ones with 10k plus bopd.

1. Aiteo 90k bopd (benedict Peters an Edo man and the Igbo guy from Shell/LNG Onyejekwe (someone check my spelling)).
2. Shoreline 60k bopd (Kola Karim, a Yoruba), 3. Seplat 60k bopd (ABC Orjiakor, Igbo and Avuru, Delta) and possibly to go up if the takeover of exxon is successful and even if it isnt, he has the capital backing to chase any other IOC onshore exits, 4. Southern Atlantic 46k bopd equity production from the 230k bopd JV with total, petrobras and cnooc(Danjuma, Wukari Jukun Taraba), 5. Mike Adenuga;s Conoil 20k bopd (sole risk contract, courtesy of IBB), 6. Alakija's Famfa 19k equity production out of Agbami 200k bopd JV with Total Oriental 18k bopd (Indimi, Borno).

These are the serious producers of the locals. There are many marginal producers from SW, SS and SE. The Lulu Briggs, Many Yoruba and Igbo ex-executives with the IOCs have also set companies up. But those above are the real money makers. Irony is that the north controls the administration of the oil, but not really the business itself. Though of course, the ppl above are also possibly fronting for northern interests that own part of their companies. Nevertheless, they substantively control these companies.

Nigeria is a complex structure and everyone has a different power game at play for different considerations. Tinubu vs Atiku would be a good game to watch. However, your statement is wrong in many ways. And if anything, Nigeria has been dominated by 'northern' interests, not just Fulani. To a lesser extent Yoruba and Igbo. But nowhere near the former.

Sufi's exist in Nigeria?? wow, I never knew. I see sufism as Iranians (Persians) trying to infuse their more civilized culture into Islam.
The establishment in Nigeria is actually Sufi. Usman dan Fodio was a Qadiriyya himself. All sultans till today are, I believe. Tijaniyyas (Niassiya) play a prominent role in the commercial class. There's big Sufi sheikhs just like you have big Pastors. You have them in Bauchi, Borno, Kano etc.

If you follow the rhetoric of Boko Haram u will see that part of their program is trying to eliminate this Sufistic old guard. Yan Izala's emergence of the 70s started the fight against Sufis.

I didnt become Muslim in Nigeria, so I cannot really say that I agree or disagree with any of these groups. But I have read about the different events from the 50s till date. That being said yes. Many of the popular sheikhs over the centuries have come from diff parts of Iran. Persian cultural refinement was pressed to make its contribution to Islamic devt, lest it be left behind. And true to fashion, they lived up to it and excelled past everyone else, save the earliest Arabs.

You seem to be a knowledgeable and reasonable Muslim but unfortunately the problem goes beyond all you stated. The problem lies in the Bukhari Hadiths where there are narrations of people getting killed for insulting the prophet.
The solution in my opinion is to reinterpret these hadiths or mark them as false hadiths, or better still just stick to the Quran alone.
I'm definitely not part of the ulema. So I cannot speak on this. My path to Islam was more along the folk/Sufi path and less on the legalistic road.

One thing I will say is that we know good from bad. You wouldn't interpret Exodus era martial desert guidelines as rules for everyday life and interaction with others.

Context matters. I think we all know what the right thing is to do. And we definitely know when what we are chasing, from the start, is violence. Anybody can talk. But this whole atmosphere of threatening others is dangerous. Muslims in the SS and SE won't survive the onslaught. And even in parts of SW. If what these ppl are pushing for materializes. In the north, they'll be fine.

Islam is beyond any region race or group. MURIC needs to understand what he's been doing for the last few years is irritating.

Security forces need not do anything. The Prophet's way remains the right path to God. And the Pastor is only one of many schism peddlers to come.

One thing myopic the Muslim body politic in Nigeria gets wrong is not taking from previous Islamic civilizations. U can't be driven by passions in a multi religious setting where it is clear that all sides are agitated. After the killing of that lady in sokoto expect more of this.

Mr Akintola went to Al Azhar. Didn't he take Islamic history there ? No sultan (mamluk or ottoman) allows such blatant disorder. U cannot freely kill a protected minority for such a blunder. These things went to court. And even then, the person had to continually offend for it to go beyond monetary punishment.

What Abbasid, Umayyad or Ottoman caliph didn't have Christians and other faithful in their courts ? Read about John of Damascus who argued for the trinity in the courts of the early Umayyads. He did so as an honored member of the intelligentsia. Even same Syriac Christians who called us Hagarenes joined the caliphs on marches against the Romans in Anatolia. Even with complete Muslim political domination, u couldn't shut ppl up. What more do you expect from a multi ethnic and multi religious 21 st century Democratic state ?

Maulana Rumi always taught to lead by example. The Islamization of Anatolia was not because men like the Danishmend whipped ppl into order. Most of the time they reverted to their former ways. Islamization mostly happened where teachers and leaders entertained diverse opinion. Where they led by example.

You wanted to be Muslim after seeing Rumi's example. You wanted to be part of a futuwwa when u saw that nothing from ur culture matched the brotherly love.

MURIC pls go and sit down with ur poverty mindset version of Islam imported from those hypocrites in the peninsula. Ppl with no cultural achievements in Islamicate history. They only share the same geography as the Prophet and happened to come into possession of vast reserves of oil. Nothing else. But MURIC doesn't have either so his cause is stale.

Mr Pastor continue if that's what brings you joy. Doubt anyone will take you seriously. Save for ur followers and like minded ppl.
