GeoOla25: Penalty into throwing ... stick to the information on your DS 160, school on your I-20 form and the school code is what is on your SEVIS fee payment already .. these are the documents the VO will first request from you and any information that is not tallying with what you have on it could be disastrous o. That was why i asked, 'what happened'? I think he booked an appointment without making proper arrangements first. VO will be like : I can see you're applying to study Linguistics at Texas State University. Applicant: hmmmm! No. California state university is the school. You know this scenario is not going to be funny. |

Henrryng: Good evening everyone, I have a question. Does it matter if the school I filled out in my ds-160 form is not same with the school I'm planning on attending. Will I have to explain it to the vo. What happened? |

Molly90: Thank you for this and the other information. The person bailed out when I asked for the updated bank statement while filling my visa DS 160. It's kinda late asking for another I20 from the school. Alright. You've got nothing to worry about. Just go with the one you have. And secondly, hope the new one is not a Business account or a statement account that belongs to a business name. It's important you know this. I'm sure you're aware. Lest i forget, while filling the DS-160, who did you mention as Sponsor? And for trip payment, did you mention the person's name? |

Molly90: Thank you for answering. What do you advice in the case the initial sponsor bailed out when applicant is about to submit the documents. No specific name is stated on I20 just family/friends Alright. Since it's written "Family", that makes it easier. Ensure the annual or basic salary written on the i20 form is almost equal/same/above or slightly okay with the new statement of account - like, it's reasonable. Until the VO asks (if he/she finds out) about the statement, don't talk 'plenty.' But why didn't you withdraw the statement since the person bailed out at the initial stage, even before you submitted your docs. If you're asked to tell about your Sponsor, just mention who your Sponsor is (Since it's family, it could be your Dad, Mum, Aunt and co) and state what he/she does altogether. Very simple. |

Asguard: Yes you can, provided there's no particular name on the issued i20, if it's just funds from family then no issue. True, but you know some schools actually include the Sponsor's name |

Molly90: Good day everyone and well done to everyone keeping the page alive. Congratulations also to everyone that have gotten their visas.
Please I would like to know if one can submit a bank statement different from the one submitted to the school used in processing the I20. I will appreciate all response to my question particularly from people that have done this before. Thank you in anticipation. All the best to everyone. To the best of my knowledge, i don't think it's proper. The I-20 form contains every info you provided via the (official) one submitted to the school. If the i20 has been issued already, it'll not really make sense if the VO finds out that what you have on i20 is different from what you present. Imagine having Mr. A's name on i20 and Mrs. B's on another statement of account. Kindly go with the former. Funny thing is that the VO may not even ask for bank statement during your interview but it's of paramount importance that you stick to your former arrangement. Some schools don't actually include your sponsor's name on i20 and some schools actually do that. What you should have done earlier was to send the two statements to them. But you may still write them, telling them about the new sponsor. |

Curious2020: Also if you're thinking of getting into the US this year, well let me break it to you—that's a pipe dream, considering the fact that you haven't researched your college options, if I may ask what are your STATS i.e how's your WASSCE result, ur gpa, have you taken the SAT/ACT, do you have Means of sponsoring your application, how do you sponsor your travel if admitted? Thank you for your response. I appreciate. My WAEC is okay but have not calculated to know the GPA. I've not taken any language proficiency test. I also got to know that since there's Covid, no need to write SAT but there made a provision for another test. Yes, i have means of sponsoring my application and my parents will sponsor my tfare/travel arrangements. The issue now is this; i don't know how the scholarship program works. Is there a particular percentage provided by the school? I'll send a PM to you because I've actually made some researches but i need to know more. Once again, i appreciate |

Good evening everyone.
I'd be grateful if anyone can wholeheartedly assist me with information. I
I want to apply for an undergraduate degree program with scholarship advantage in any School in the USA.
I don't even know how to start the application or the school to chose because i have no idea on what to do.
I need assistance with a list or a school that accepts international student for undergraduate studies with scholarship or a cheap school without scholarship, but the truth is that scholarship is my number one reason or priority.
The only favour i need is information please.
Thank you and God bless you. |
