Technology Market / Meet A 13 Year Old NFT Millionaire! by chris2h(m): 12:08pm On May 05, 2022
There aren’t many young women in the NFT space. So, when a TIME-resident artist fits within that category, everyone is bound to take notice.

We did and reached out to Nyla Hayes who has proven to be one of the few digital child prodigies in the NFT industry.

Nyla has made a name for herself with her “Long Neckie Ladies” collection and has made history with her second “Long Neckies” partnership with Zigazo, the premier NFT platform for children who want to explore the space.

What makes this important is that finally, the generation that will fully adopt cryptocurrencies and their underlying technologies is entering into the fray and holding their own.

It also brings the adoption story full circle to those that matter the most.

Many millennials and whatever is left of the baby boomers will not be able to fully understand or comprehend how these technologies have changed the world.

But Gen Z and the ones after they can, will, and shall be the ones to carry the fire for generations to come.

So while the first crypto, blockchain, and NFT evangelists may not live to see that trans-generational moment, they can at least see the impact taking root in the future today with stars like Nyla.

They give the crypto and NFT community what it needs the most: hope.

It is this paradigm that will form the next wave of adoption.

Nyla was direct (as any child her age will be), but our chitchat provided us with the opportunity to interact with someone who we are sure will become one of the leaders of the web3 industry.

Business / About Understanding Nigerians' "Fufu" Attitude by chris2h(m): 1:50pm On Dec 23, 2021
You know, I'm astounded at several patterns of behavior that are supposedly idiosyncratic to Nigerians.
Let me give a few examples so you get the point.

The Guidance and Counselling UNILAG (sorry guys) graduate who thinks the world revolves around Lagos Island. Yet she has to keep the space between her legs open like the Third Mainland Bridge at midnight to wear Aso-Ebi and do Alago on Saturdays, so everybody knows she exists.

The media professional walks on the air simply because he is on retainer with an FMCG conglomerate. Nobody can challenge the guy because of his name. Unfortunately, professionalism is lacking in his dealings, and he forgets that "e get who pass you no matter who you be, and wetin you do".

The copywriter, that ran away from Nigeria simply because he couldn't stand the heat of the industry. Yet, he left behind a market of over 100 million people who won't buy his products anymore.

The Igbo Lawyer, who uses all forms of legal shenanigans to hide the criminal activities of his mates on Lagos Island. Yet his wife and children are somewhere chilling in North America.

The professional woman who castigates her sister's son for having a few misadventures in life. Yet, she is way past menopause and has no children of her own. Even adopted ones, so you can peek into her head and see how shallow her life is.

The Edo Woman, who stands by the door waiting for her Son to dis-virgin a girl. When he can't get through, she shouts: "My son use Vaseline! Use Vaseline!"

The Old Woman, who is looking for her brother's estate and plots her way to get his assets, although he has a wife and children who are all grown up.

The professional woman, who is having a midlife crisis and continues referring to the black sheep of the family, although the guy has moved on with his life.

The bitter old couple, who can't let go of the fact that one of their children shines above all others, no matter what.
Men in North-Central Nigeria, that can't sit down in a bar and talk about business and progress. The only thing they do is gossip about each other like market women selling crayfish.

I think you get the point.

While the above stories are purely fictional (mostly), they serve as a stark reminder that everywhere Nigerians go; we identify them with pointless aggression that has no basis for interaction.

The ones who have been able to channel these energies have extraordinary results. The others, though, put these energies into self-destructive behaviors that are more obvious the older they become.

Don't get me wrong.

God, the Universe, and all the forces that have providentially made us one unit have designed us with innate energy that sparks everywhere we go as a people.

It is what we do with that energy that counts.

And that is what I'm trying to say.

Regardless of what is going on in your life, you don't have to put out another person's candle to make yours shine brighter.

People rise, people fall, people make mistakes. People have a right to live the way they choose.

As long as they don't affect you, wetin consain you?

As the Warri people say: "Nor be with vex dem dey take give woman belle".

Or another favorite Warri saying of mine (My Mother is from there, so don't blame me):" Fire wey dey make noise nor dey cook soup".

And that, people, is the "Fufu" attitude many Nigerians display because they don't know where to put their God-given energies.

Business / The Problem With True Lies by chris2h(m): 12:15am On Nov 07, 2021
You know, if you are of a certain age (sorry gen Z), you will remember Arnold Schwarzenegger and the roles he played that made him become a star.

One of those roles is the lead character in True Lies.

In the movie, Arnold plays the role of Harry Tasker, who is a used car salesperson (as his cover), and a top super-secret spy for Omega Sector; an elite counterterrorism agency of the US government.

He has to figure out if his wife is cheating on him, save his marriage, and save the world.

I mean, that's the gist of the film.

In Nigeria, most of us are like Harry. It's just that we work in reverse.

Hear me out on this one.

We think we are the best thing since toasted bread.

Then we Lord it over others to know we have it and have made it.

Meanwhile, we have taken shortcuts to making it.

Yet, we shine, are loud about it, are arrogant.

Some even change their accents as proof!

Many examples explain this.

Hushpuppi, our politicians, Nollywood stars with "a big God" are just a few examples of our collective obsession with true lies.

It reminds me of a story I heard about a media professional who wanted a job and "became" a Muslim, was going to the Mosque, and never told anybody about his Christian background, all in the effort to get a job.

He was found out; he was still given the job but advised to keep to his religion.

That brings me to the crux of the matter.

I recently saw various ads by the supposed internet marketers about receiving dollars in Nigeria.

And they are charging what is in Nigerian Naira a hefty sum at the moment.

When in all reality, Stripe ALLOWS you to sign up without incorporating a company (as a Sole Proprietor), Kuda Bank allows you to receive funds in Naira (or you can sign up on Binance P2P marketplace and trade your USD for crypto and trade it for Naira again.

All you would need is your means of identification and an account statement to jump through the verification hoops (an international passport is usually preferred).

Then these guys charge people to do this when it is explicitly stated on Stripe's website?

In as much as I believe in marketing and making money, I also believe in having scruples and a code of ETHICS that should never be toyed with.

It is what separates us professionals from those who say they are "Copywriters".

Rules bind professionals to their craft.

Even the "copywriting community" these people say they are a part of is a subset of professional copywriting: Direct Response writing.

The problem is, these guys don't get it.

And like Harry Tasker, they are telling the truth, but in fact, they lie.

In reverse, of course.

It is also why they have no skin in the game and have to bring up concepts all the time to make money.

None of these copywriters have been able to sell a product for over six months successively.

And I base this on my observations of the industry in Nigeria,

And this is since 2003.

In those days (sorry again gen Z), email marketers used Free Autobot email responder, Get Response, and classified ads to make a killing in the name of marketing.

While they made the money, they had no innovation to boot.

As such, they have to reinvent the wheel of a profession that is easy to decipher once you get it.

Do you?

Honestly using words to convince people is very simple!

Talk about the benefits and call to action!

It is that simple!

Well, as far as I am concerned, there is no need for lies to become true if you have this ability to talk about products and services.

I mean, what is the point?

Enough said!

Islam for Muslims / A Response To David Hundeyin From An Islamic Apologist by chris2h(m): 8:28am On Oct 06, 2021
***This was forwarded to me and so it is copied...

Dear David,
I'm so sorry.

You have lost your way this time.

You have woven a story that doesn't exist using conspiracy theories that have no backing.

You have portrayed yourself as Nigeria's genius reporter but have become the "Idiot Reporter of Nigeria" for reasons I shall state below.

I'm a Christian who has tilted towards Islam. That itself is another story for another day.

I'm also Jos-born and bred.

It makes your story fodder for the dogs and nothing else.

I have always wondered why your stories always try to bring down people who mean well for Nigeria.

A man left his country, invested in Nigeria, and died in peace.

You now want to literally dig up his corpse and crucify him for unknown crimes.

David, you have proven to have little knowledge about Islam itself or the history of Sir Ahmadu Bello.

I know you are quite peeved that Ahmadu Bello and others of his status were trans-generational leaders with foresight that you know nothing about.

I also know that you have nobody in your ancestry who did what he did for everyone.

That's understandable.

You have zero understanding of Islamic history in Nigeria.

Let me put this to you straight up.

Othman Dan Fodio had more than 300 years to Islamize the whole of Nigeria as we know it geographically.

He could easily have done so.

So, what prevented him?

That's one question I doubt even your descendants can ever answer.

You then talk about "Wahabbism" and the Salafist roots that "gave birth" to the Izala movement.

Your ignorance stinks to the high heavens.

What about the Christian terrorists known as the "Neocons"?

Or the fact that the Global Evangelical Church fights simple science when it comes to simple issues like COVID-19
vaccinations?

Why couldn't your so-called super-sleuth skills decipher this?

Let me quote the Holy Quran.

The second verse of the Second Chapter as translated says: "This is the Book! There is no doubt about it, will [be] a guide for those that are mindful of Allah".

It's obvious David.

You read nothing when writing this wish-wash sham of an article.

One of the greatest employers of labor in Nigeria is your target for reasons best known to you.

I have always wondered who sponsors you when it comes to these articles that bring people and institutions who are minding their business down.

I even told someone this evening the same.

Full of fear-mongering and no facts.

Lawyers have a Latin saying: " Da mihi factum Dabo Tibi Ius" which when loosely translated means: "Show me the facts and I will show you the law".

Your article on the NASCO Group and the so-called Islamic terror financing depicted zero facts.

You just posted one, two, and maybe three links here and there. Next thing, BOOM! You have exposed someone who is long gone.

What are you going to tell your Creator, David?

I assume you don't believe the World was created by a sentient, eternal being.
It shows in your writing.

Trust me, I'm a Nigerian international writer of repute.

And an international journalist as well.

I talk to the high and mighty in my industry.

By the grace of All Mighty God, I am the top writer and journalist in my space.

Before anyone can reach my heights, then they have to go through my road and suffer as I have.

Now, here are a few simple things you need to fix with your article (Let me teach you, sir).

Firstly, when you want to write an investigative article, you MUST pay for your sources.

If the lives of the sources aren't at risk, you must state WHO your sources are.

For example, look at the Watergate Scandal and see how it went.

You must also NEVER give room for conjecture the way you have.

Your article is full of hearsay, and I doubt if any true, real international news media organization will pick this up.

I deal with global media and public relations practitioners every day.

So I know this industry.

Secondly, you must present the story as factually as possible with ZERO emotions.

Your emotions in your writing are all over the place. I mean, ANY professional will tell you: "this guy is angry".

Your style is so "zig-zag".

I didn't enjoy this one.

You weren't coherent in your storyline.

I mean, everyone knew the bad guy before the middle of the article.

What kind of journalism is that?

Thirdly, you didn't understand the relationship between the Hausa-Fulani tribes of Northern Nigeria and their rich history.

I will put one word to you that makes your assertion of the fact that Sheikh Gumi's father was the one to translate the Holy Quran fall flat on its face: "Ajami".

Your ignorance drove you to become such a bigot that a simple fact that it is Ajami on the Nigerian Naira (which is the Creole for Hausa, Fulani, and Arabic) instead of Arabic as most ignorant people like yourself assume is non-existent in your article.

The lesson here is: "Know your facts".

Now, you have dragged into the mud the hallowed profession of writers and journalists who bring the truth to everyone in a way and style that everyone regardless of any orientation can enjoy.

You eliminated the rich history of the Islamic Scholars who knew how to read and write (while your ancestors were still picking sticks and stones) created a WHOLE language where Islam could be interpreted to the simple-minded was invented.

I think you have disgraced us all with your so-called expose.

Fourthly, your focus on the history of JIBWIS as an organization is so tilted towards your nefarious aims that is it's clear from the start that you didn't give them a fair hearing.

Let me put it this way from discussions with JIBWIS leaders (WHO I KNOW PERSONALLY). JIBWIS and other Izalas and "Wahabist" movements are just like your Deeper Life and other conservative Christian Denominations.

For you to paint a whole institution black because you want to hang one individual shows who you are working for before you could even begin to "make sense".

You even bring the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria into your written salvos.

You have shown neither honor nor fealty for your country.

You have the temerity, the gumption, and the assumed gravitas to insult a sitting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria?

You insult the person of this President simply because you have a keyboard to type your rubbish?

Let's move on to the next point before my blood begins to boil over.

Were you there when the US Government and the founder of NASCO Group had a meeting?

Do you know what was discussed there?

Who made you judge, jury, and executioner over something that probably didn't exist?

Are we to expect the honorable professionals within the US Government to give us an explanation for their removal of a man who has saved thousands of Christians economically from one of their numerous lists?

Go and check the diversity of the NASCO workforce.

Christians make up about half or more than half of that workforce.

And you now paint a family that has called Nigeria home for more than two generations as terrorists simply because it catches your fancy?

You tie all the parties to Jos and BOOM!

You have an exclusive.

I think you are liable for libel.

I pray the NASCO Group pursues this matter to its legal conclusion in the Courts.

Lastly, NASCO Group is always open to ANY media requests and questions.

Why didn't you go to them for media requests?

NASCO Group is a company that is incorporated under the extant laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

So, they are a person in the eyes of the law.

Those who live around there are ALWAYS available for interrogation.

One MAJOR feature of investigative pieces is witness testimony of some sort or the other.

You have quoted ZERO witnesses in your story, even the anonymous ones.

Your story LACKS any credible witnesses.

So, tell me, David, why won't I think you have lost your way?

Next time, find someone else to swallow your rubbish.

This time, we in Jos won't.

Yours Sincerely,

An Islamic Apologist and Christian Writer.

NB: I choose to remain anonymous.

Trust Nigerians.

Anything that seemingly makes sense or is trending, they want to copy.

Just like when selfie sticks first came out, everybody had to have one.

Even household dogs and cats had selfie sticks!

Sarcasm aside, when I see people say they are copywriters or content developers, I check under the hood.

A degree is NOT a requirement for being a good copywriter!

Neither is having succeeded at something else!

You may have worked at an "oyel" company, but copywriting is a different world altogether.

Copywriting is NOT direct-response writing, which is a subset of actual copywriting.

Ninety-nine percent of "Nigerian" copywriters are direct response writers.

It is why they don't last long.

Five years, and BOOM!

They are gone.

Some leave Nigeria.

Some go for the next big trend.

Others decide to stay put and do everything it takes to win.

These are the minority.

Anyway, wetin consain me?

Them nor change the price of garri for market!

So, when you see people trying to show their success as evidence of trust, run!

That's the ultimate sign of a one-hit-wonder.

Business / The Many Implications Of The Nigerian Cryptocurrency Ban by chris2h(m): 5:11pm On Mar 04, 2021
The main issue about the ban is not about the ban per se.

It is about the implications of Africa’s largest nation banning cryptocurrency exchanges, accounts, and transactions.

The Nigerian Central Bank is Conservative About Cryptocurrencies
The Nigerian cryptocurrency ban also revealed the Countries’ central bank’s (the Central Bank of Nigeria CBN) hawkish stance on changes to its already established monetary system.

It has also exposed the extreme knowledge gap that exists among the masters of the Country’s monetary systems.

This knowledge gap shows what many have suspected all along: they know cryptocurrencies are the future.

They don’t understand how they work to regulate them effectively.

Not yet, at least.

Business / The Truth About Simps (edited) by chris2h(m): 7:21am On Jan 20, 2021
I'm about to go redpill on this.

So, if you don't mind, let's figure out who a Simp is.

A Simps' office makes the man.

An Alpha makes his office.

A Simp's last resort is his wallet.

An Alpha's last resort is his brain.

Women are attracted to a typical Simp for what he has.

An Alpha can walk away from any woman.

Too much confidence fills his blood.

A Simp runs away from his country and complains about it.

An Alpha STAYS and finds ways to fix things.

IN a life or death situation, a Simp will just die.

Throw an Alpha in the ocean he will swim to the end or at least die trying.

Typical Simps use belief systems to trap people.

An Alpha's first belief is in his Creator and himself.

Simps run to other Simps to solve their problems.

Problems are opportunities for the typical Alpha.

Simps work to use other people's resources to achieve sly ends.

Alphas work to create ecosystems for everyone.

A Simp works HARD to find other innate Simps like himself.

Alphas create Alphas through mentorship that generates results even after they are dead and gone.

A typical cowardly Simp uses his certificates to bully people into submission.

People submit naturally to an Alpha due to practical solutions to problems, which is the real proof-of-knowledge btw.

Finally, one minutemen Simps sexualize just about everything to gain attention.

An Alpha's aura always wins.

And it's not just about the hormones.

It's about the wild side.

The animal side.

Need I say more?

How many Simps and Alphas can you identify?

Do you now see why being a Simp is preventing you from making profits?

Do you want to make more profits?

Contact me!

Let's go alpha!
