Kudos to the policies but I must confess that I am getting tired of stories without picture. Can someone please tell me why our journalists don't include pictures of what they report? Is it lack of camera or what? |

With 1.5million, you can go into business and make that more than 1-2 or more within a year. But I won't advice you to go into business if you don't know your customers i.e the person you will sell the product to. So my advice is this 1.) If you must go into business( I mean buying and selling), you can either learn the trade(which takes about 3-6 months depending on your ability) or you can also give(invest) the money to a trader and reach agreement with the trader on how much he should give you back. Actually, it will take about 1-2 month for you to get the return of investment. (If you need help on this, I can help you contact a reliable person but you have to decide for yourself) 2.) The second option you have is open a small business center like printing press, phone call center, road transportation business, 3.) Since you are a banker, you can also start a tutorial center esp to university students on the subject/secret of becoming a successful bank. |
jason123: The question here are:You ask a nice question. If we must stay together as a country, it is high time we decide your number 1 question or 3 question. How I wish my people should look me in the eye and call me "Brother" instead of an Hausa man, Igbo man or Yoruba man. I wonder what we will tell our kids when they ask why is Nigeria so screwed? |
You have to understand that dividing a country doesn't come easy. There are forces/powers/cabals who don't want such thing to happen either because it will affect their business, income, economy, country, etc. Some of these forces can be found in both North, South, and finally International organisation/world. |
@Poster Advice to gangers smokers, "ALWAYS KEEP YOUR COMPUTER LOCKED WHEN YOU ARE HIGH SOMETHING BECAUSE YOU MIGHT END UP ASKING YOURSELF THIS QUESTION " AM I THE ONE THAT TYPED THIS SHIT" |
Since you get the meaning of what they said, what is all the fuss about? |
First Africa is not a country for God's sake. The cultures are not the same. Please be more specific in your next version of the story because I don't know how to answer it. The only thing I know is that in some cultures, even at the age of 25, most parents still plays a role in their children decision. He may or may not be a mama's boy |

If Google has the same mindset like you, it won't be existing because Yahoo is already existing If Facebook has the same mindset like you, it won't be existing because Hi5 and Myspace are already existing If Apple has the same mindset like you, it won't be existing because Microsoft is already existing If Ebay has the same mindset like you, it won't be existing because Amazon is already existing If UPS Shipping has the same mindset like you, it won't be existing because DHL is already existing If Moneygram has the same mindset like you, it won't be operating because Western Union is already existing And the list goes on......................... My brother the earlier you accept that there is no business without competition the better for you. Regarding the case of Nairaland, Linda, etc, Nigeria has a population of more than 170million people and Nairaland's registered users are 886951(as of now and don't forget that most people have more than 1 accounts). Compare that to Nigeria population and you will get my meaning. The same applies to Linda. Not everyone knows this sites you mentioned. Your job is to win those people. |
The earlier you accept that Nigeria is never a country, the easier for you to understand why we are still in this position. Right from the time Nigeria gain their independence, Nigerians have never consider themselves as one. The leaders would have solve this problem if only they had make good use of Nigeria resource to develop all sectors of the country. But rather the leaders started playing tribal game, making policies that favour only the ethnic they belong to, refusing to sign projects that will benefit project located in an area that doesn't belong to their group, refusing to patronize a business plan because the owners are not Christians or Muslims, citizens casting votes not because the person is capable but because he/she is from his group, religion, etc. This post is one of the things I am talking about (https://www.nairaland.com/924355/one-best-chefs-america-yoruba) Nigeria will experience rapid development if only we have people that think first of the country or if we move to regional government, or decide to end our more than 51 years old marriage. So to answer your question, there is nothing like the good old Nigeria. What we have is the better old Nigeria. |
I think the IG has think about Nigeria. If only others will do the same i.e thinking about Nigeria first before their bank account. |

Oga Seun, why not make it pay per click or pay per impression. This gives the advertisers an equal opportunity for their ads to appear. Try to ad features so that the advertiser will know where the clicks/impressions are coming from(just like google). As since you and your workers will also be visiting the site, make sure that your own impressions/clicks doesn't count. I am completely in support of the fixed because it will lead to monopoly. Imagine a business man paying to stay there on until thy kingdom come. |
If you would like to send free sms to any Nigeria network or want to integrate a free sms service to your website, check out www.chrisvicmall.com/bonus_sms But if you are planning to start own bulk sms service, there are many Nigeria sms companies. Just ask Mr Google and compare their prices. |
I think the only time Nigerians see themselves as "ONE" is during football. But if a Nigerian do something good, most people will claim the person as their son/daughter(from the same ethnic group). Likewise when someone commits a crime, people are quick to distant themselves by pointing out the ethnicity of the person. This issue wouldn't have been happening if our leaders have make good use of Nigeria resources. Everyone will be proud of the country. Even the current situation of the country isn't helping matters. So my advice to fellow Nigerians both home and diaspora, next time you feel like engaging in ethnic war, visit www.chrisvicmall.com and do some shopping or send free sms to your lovely ones. Do it steady and I promise you, that cancer called "Tribalism" will cease to exist within you. |
CHESSBOARD: The North is sooo poor and illiterate and teir rulers functionally illiterated to the extend that SE and SS riches cannot even help them, how did we( SS and SE) end uo with Northerners as a countryI have to admit that sometimes the situation in the country will make me ponder why there is something like "Nigeria" but all the same there are still educated and good people in everywhere including the North Regarding your question, I think you should ask that to the British and others who carried out this practical called Nigeria |
