Thanks a lot for your reply
Trent is Durham Ontario fees is 22000 per year

While Canada west is in Vancouver British Columbia
The fee is 25000 per year

The difference is just little that’s why I’m more confused
$3,000 CAD can feed you for one year in Canada. So, make a good choice.

Hello guys. I’m looking for a shared apartment in north york or anywhere else close to Seneca, newham campus🙏🏾
Hello Guys,
For those searching for Student Accommodation or similar facilities, you can try this link. My school recommended it and I got mine from it. Just type the name of your school and it will showcase apartments and rooms near your school and the estimated distance to your school. Good Luck! https://www.places4students.com

Work after sch starts.
Hi Aestake, you are very correct and I dont intent to go against my SP conditions. I just want to get that settled as well so that as soon as I start school, I will start work same day. Funds are depleting and its very expensive here and without any $$$ coming in, it becomes scary to even spend on basic needs.

Chose proximity to your school over and over. Staying in Brampton or Mississauga will cost you significant time and money in transit
Thanks a lot Bro. I finally got one, a small room about 18mins walking distance to Sch. I have been chasing the Landlord from Nigeria but he insisted on receiving payment from a Canadian bank. I opened bank account at the airport and got a sim there too cos its required for account opening. Room costs $1040 per month. I bet you its about the cheapest Student residential in Downtown. I was given a deal to pay for 3 months upfront and get one month free and I did. That averaged the cost to $780/month for 4 months. This has drained me but it has given me peace. Just patiently waiting for studies to begin in May. Still staying in my Airbnb till April ending and looking for part time student jobs. Please can you recommend any site or group/recruiters?

Please which one is introduction letter from IRCC
Upon Approval of your study permit application and your subsequent submission of your passport, your passport is affixed with the Canadian S1 Visa at either Lagos or Abuja, IRCC will automatically issue you a Letter of Introduction directly to your portal. You will need this letter to show their colleague at any Canadian Entry Point so they will issue your Study Permit.

ok. thank you very much.
also want to ask how do I know the dates of application for my course of study?
my choice course of study has start dates as Sept. 2023. but i cant find any information if application is still open or not.
Application deadlines are usually posted on the college admission page. If not stated, go ahead and apply. Many colleges are still accepting Int'l applications for Fall 2023...but ensure that you submit all required credentials as there is not time for them to wait for you to complete your documentation, so that your application fees will not be wasted.

You may also want to send an email enquiry to the admissions office for clarification.

Apply via OCAS. They are like Jamb in Nigeria. OCAS takes care of colleges in Ontario.

Very true. Even i myself have an Asian as a landlord but he's been really considerate. Indians are slumlords. They'll either give you a small crappy, dirty barebones accommodation or they'll offer you same living quarters as their family and it'll be stifling for you. E no easy.
I agree 100%

NuCypher:
You'll get a shared accommodation in downtown for this price, but not expect anything fanciful. All you'll get is one room, possibly very crappy. Or you'll get someone's den. Lower your expectations considerably. Go on Kijiji to look and filter by prices. In the end you'll save on transport, but you won't get that much comfort. Otherwise, you may want to look at more suburban areas around Toronto where your budget may fetch you a reasonable basement, though that's hard. But you'll probably spend more in commuting.
God bless you. Infact, I am not really after comfort now. I am paying more attention to proximity to my school. I believe comfort will come when i start work and then upgrade.

Try Kijiji.ca Sort the real estate section by short term accomodations and you should find some good results.
Thanks. I have sent enquiries. I noticed that most of the home owners are Asians and they do not want to share units with Nigerians...Although I am temporarily staying in home owned by Indians. They have dominated everywhere.

At that budget in downtown you can only get a shared one that is if you get at all. You can stay in Brampton or Missisuaga
Okay, thank you. I will extend my search to those areas. I was mindful of Transportation cost.

Hello NLanders,

Significant Landing Gist ( Be Careful with your documents and luggage at the Airport)

To God be the Glory! I landed Toronto Pearson Int'l Airport 2 days ago and and have received my Study Permit at the immigration office in the YYZ airport. The devil tried to stop me but God granted me grace and favor and I scaled through. I flew Ethiopian Airlines which was scheduled to fly from Lagos to Toronton (Canada) via Addis Ababa in Ethiopia - Dublin (Ireland) - Toronto. Due to rush, some of my documents which I was reviewing on my laps in the airplane slipped from my hand and fell on the floor of the airplane- under the seat, and I didnt know. These were reciepts of my sch fees, Letter of Intro from IRCC and LOA etc. I only discovered when we were boarding the connecting flight to Dublin...I was reviewing my next ticket for transfer flight. We had only 30 mins to start boarding the connecting flight to Dublin. I reported to Bole - Ethipian Airport officials)...they told me to wait that they will fetch it but it will take some time. At this time, I had only 15 mins left to Board. There was also a lady who forgot her laptop in the plane. When i told her about my own problem...she quickly said its a small matter. (she was going to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe). She said, if I have those docs in my phone...I could show the Canadian Immigration the docs in my phone. Immediately, I brought out my laptop from my hand luggage (Thank God its in my hand luggage not checked in box), transferred all relevant docs from my system to my phone via whatsapp sharing app. I ran and join the queue for boarding. I continue praying for favor to have the soft copies accepted at Toronton by immigration. To the Glory of God, the officer that interviewed me agreed look at the documents which I had already packaged in a folder on my phone. Thank God for technology. The young man was greatly satisfied with the documents and all the questions he asked based on what I submitted during my application in Nigeria. You know there was no physical interview in Nigeria...Just online submission and approval (in principle) pending arrival for physical interview at any Canadian Boarder. My interview lasted just 15 mins but the man touched almost everything in my IRCC Portal. There was a crowd of about 50 persons waiting behind me on queue, as they do in USA embassy in Lagos, but the difference is that Canadian are more humane, kind and patient to hear you out. Our God is wonderful. Lessons: If you are coming through YYZ (Pearson International Airport, Toronto), be sure to have your:
1. Letter of Introduction
2. Updated Letter of Acceptance.
3. Evidence of School Fees Payment OR Proof of Fund for Tuition (They are more interested in Tuition Payment)
4. Ensure to understand your own form and all the information therein. They will recall your IRCC Portal with your UCI number and pick questions at random.
5. Be sure you follow your agent strictly and closely (for those who use agents) and make sure all information are correct. Any discrepant answer will warrant you to be sent back to Nigeria. Right in my presence, someone from Africa (I dont know which country but I suspect Nigeria) was sent back due to fake documents. Please lets be careful. May God help us all!

Congratulations!

Please did you use form A to pay your school fees? If so, what bank did you use?

I just got a conditional offer for a 1 year post grad certificate program as well.
Someone in US helped me to pay. FORM A is stressful and takes time. Look for someone overseas to help you.

Please what is the best site to compress pdf files,l used ilovepdf ,seems file quality is not okay.Kindly assist.
The secret is, take the pains and re-scan all printed documents with a resolution of not more than 100 dpi. This will give you good quality with low mb size. Then compress,if still necessary.

I think the latest is Adobe 11, which I had used in trying to open, but still didn't open.
I will keep trying.
Thank you...
1.Create a folder and save the forms in the folder before opening. Don't save the IMM forms on the desktop directly.
2.Ensure you have the latest version of Adobe.

You might be lucky.

Good day house,
I submitted my passport to VFS Abuja last Wednesday, and asides the initial mail that they've received it, I've not heard anything else.
Is there a way I can find out what's going on over there please?
Thank you.
I really do not think you should worry since they have given you the acknowledgement email. Your passport is officially in their custody. Check the email to see if there is any tracking ID ...use it to track the status of your passport on their site ;
https://www.vfsglobal.ca/IRCC-GPTWave1/Track/Index?q=shSA0YnE4pLF9Xzwon/x/CQ1P0LBKn66dLdNUfueK+yzShCR5+RPxbigEFl/W14/B2caAAJ+pjEGG2r7ohd6rA==

My situation is different and its giving me concerns. I sent my passport on Saturday 21/1/23 via DHL PH and it was delivered to VFS ABUJA on Tuesday 24/1/23 by 10.15am . Since then, VFS has not even given me any notice of receipt of documents/acknowledgement email. I am worried about it. Please is this normal? Does anyone know what next I should do?
