Roma is a solid club with good European pedigree. If the Italians make a serious offer I think Aina should consider it. The only thing that might make him not want to leave is maybe departing from familiar environment and family reasons. SamueItem337: So Aina should wait until they get relegated before he leaves? He should settle for 15th in the Epl than playing in Europe? Una dey surprise me for this thread |

Honestly! Trying to fix what is not broken. Nwabali hasn't done anything seriously woeful for me to start calling for his removal as number 1. Okoye is getting better no doubt but this PR campaign by his fanboys is really puzzling at worst and irritating at best. Subzerooo: Na shiny toy syndrome dey make people mention Maduka's name with Nigeria's goalkeeping situation because we have witnessed him and what he can do and God forbid we go back to that |

In club and national team football the goalie is almost never changed except in cases of the number 1 losing form or getting injured. Okoye is a young man who's improving steadily I'm almost certain his time will come so long he remains on the right track. Nwabali has been forged in the fiery oven of the AFCON and been found to be stable and worthy. Let the guy continue his good work instead of all this unnecessary distractions. aicon4s: Even if we trounce Libya 11-0 in Uyo and Libya presents their second team for the return leg, Nwabali will still be favourite to start. When you have at least a good goalie like Nwabali, especially after the previous ones like Uzoho and Okoye disappointed, it is important you keep playing him to boost his confidence level and also to improve the Chemistry between him and the defence. Remember we are building towards the 2025 AFCON and 2026 WC. |

This is one of the reasons why I as much as we should engage Nigerian born talents to switch to play to get us we shouldn't make it seem we wouldn't be able to perform without them. There are many talented players willing to rep the GWG but we need to revamp our scouting network to discover hidden gems like the likes of Nwabali instead of the Tanimus that our NFF ogas are in the habit of calling up. If we had seriously addressed our defense and midfield issues until recently we won't be bellyaching over whether Olise, Eze, and Adarabioyo want to play for us. At the time we were chasing Abraham he was probably a bigger profile forward that what we had at the time but are we not better off today. Yes we need to be strategic to attract the right talent but also not make ourselves look desperate. Chief I understand your passion for George's inclusion now my argument is based on the squad current make it will be hard to find a place for him unless as a fourth option in attack. Even Osimhen didn't instantly make it into the team framework. He got called then was left out for a while for more experienced hands till he was recalled and took off like a bang. Managing the national team is not just about looking at future additions but also overseeing current performances. I believe reaching to George assure him of how much we think he can contribute to the team is the way to go at 18 he still needs to get better even at Monaco he isn't a starter at best he's a young prodigy to keep our eyes on. That said I understand your worry for France not to snatch him but it's really in the young man's court if he's interested in playing for Nigeria which I haven't heard yet. charlesemeka85: your reasoning and disposition is the reason why as a nation we will never grow
So u re thinking of now and not the future?
Who told u we want George to come and take Osimhen or Boniface place in the team? Is it not better he serve as an understudy to the likes of the snr duo you mentioned just as Osimhen was eased into the team by understudying Ighalo and others?
France that re chasing him u think they want to incorporate him to their snr team right away?
U aren’t thinking about tomorrow but immediate gain and impact? Nawaoooooo

Bro Ahmed Musa's performances for the SE have been average at best for 2 going on 3 years. Apart from club football where KC has struggled how many national team games has Iheanacho featured in this year and been consistently terrible? I'm always for freshening up the squad with quality new additions but is there any current Nigerian forward other than the two Victors painting Europe with goals at the moment? Dessers? we have seen him decent. Tolu? untested? Orban? Adams? off and on really. All the same I understand the basis of your argument just disagree about the timing. charlesemeka85: you go worst pass our nff big heads if given a chance
Why not recall Ahmed Musa since na experience u dey find, if not for anything he scored a brace last weekend for Kano Pillars |

I can understand your frustration that you don't want Nigeria to lose out on George like we did with Eze. I don't know if the NFF scouting department behind the scenes are following up on Ilenikhena but from the looks of it we need to do more. On the football side is George ready and to displace our current SE options? At best for me it's debatable cos he obviously can't bench the two Victors, KC trumps him with experience while the fourth strikers' position is open but with many names battling for one spot. charlesemeka85: Invite in form and productive players noooooo but every international break na redundant legs we keep seeing called up
I knew France will do whatever it takes to snatch Ilenikhena from us and it’s on the verge of happening 🤦♀️ |

National team football is not like to a toddlers toy that once you lose interest you just discard immediately without thoughts to the balance of the team. Goke7: This is why am never in a hurry for any player to be dropped completely from the national team except the player truly has been in poor form for the national team(not club)
That’s how some people are already asking for Ndidi to be shown the way out. Very funny |

Iheanacho of the 2023 scored 3 national team goals so I should discard someone who has proven to be a semi-reliable source of goals just because he's going through a rough patch? National team football doesn't work that way. KC is not undropable if there are confirmed better options but the names being suggested haven't been assessed at SE level to begin saying they deserve a spot especially as we are in the middle of qualifiers. codemaniacs: That's what he said... But chrisooblog has not considered that ihenacho of 2024 is not the ihenacho of 2020.

Good performance from the highlights however I think he still holds on to the ball a little bit longer than necessary and looks indecisive in crucial areas atimes. That said should probably have had way more assists against his name if the Sevilla forwards were more prolific in front of goal. Hotepking: Ejuke highlights vs Real betis, he created 3 clear-cut opportunities for his team mates and cooked Bellerin all game...for the doubters of his end product- be the judge yourselves. He also put in a solid defensive shift by tracking back which is the least you could demand from your forward.

Okoye's performances in the GWG haven't shown that he's better than Nwabali. Stanley has been doing very well for the SE since his debut for the SE at the AFCON so please die the agenda before it even has the chance to breathe. If you decide to base your agenda on the quality of the league that Nwabali features in then you should also explain how a almost 100% South Africa based Bafana Bafana side beat Morocco at the AFCON. komekn: I don't want anybody to be injured I just want fair and open competition.

Tanimu probably benefiting from being in the national team for a while plus there isn't any obvious quality fullback that's doing well. On second thoughts I take that back Ndah woulda been a better fit but hey! Modified just learning he's injured.
KC isn't deserving of a place right now in the SE. Even Awoniyi has been so so but they are squad members and it's not too advisable to chop and change players especially during qualifiers when we're not such the replacements are better.
All told I'm optimistic these invited group of boys should do the job against Libya as long as they are focused. |

Every time Xavi Alonso gets asked about Boniface he almost always says how he should be more like Drogba. Apart from them both being big guys they couldn't be more different in my humble opinion.
Victor's technique on the ball surpasses Didier so he doesn't have to impose himself physically as much which is what Alonso might be complaining about. |

Bayern na plug and play. You would have to be a legendary incompetent coach to F things up at Munich and fail to win a trophy. lbrichman2: Kog45 is right Bayern's system is so good that an average coach can do well there.. They have hacked football administration..
Ofcourse different coaches with varying levels of ability, will get different results and levels of success..
But 20 titles in 25 years is no child's play.. They definitely have a working system..
Even Tuchel that was sacked last season still won the title the penultimate one Bayern's success is beyond the coaches..
Even Chelsea was beginning to look like that in the Abramovich era. They were hiring and firing coaches at random, yet still winning titles every other season..
As important as the role of a coach is, Bayern have showed that they can win titles with or without top grade coaches, Nico Kovac being a case in point
In fact, I dare say, and this is completely my personal opinion, that one of the fastest ways for a coach to boost their trophy haul and CV, is to Coach Bayern Munich.. |

You mean Chris Benoit. A former WWE wrestler and neuroscientist theorized that Benoit most probably had a degenerative brain disease caused by concussions wrestling over the years. The Bret Hart bit brought back memories. Still angry at McMahon the way he treated such and talented, loyal, and upstanding guy like the Hitman The Best There Was, The Best There Is, and The Best There Ever Will Be raumdeuter: I thoroughly enjoyed it and brought back memories of my youth.
At the end of it, I went to Wikipedia and was checking the wrestlers personal profiles. Found out Triple H married Vince McMahons daughter
I even spent time researching Undertaker one of the greats of the game how they started
I even spent some time watching some old wrestlemania even some old Royal rumble
I even watched how Bret Hitman Hart was supposed to throw the fight against Shawn Michael and he didn't want to but the referee counted him out, he went to beat up Vince McMahon, the sad parts like when Owen Hart jumped to his death on the ring and when Chris Jericho offed his entire family
What is called wrestling these days is a joke or say we don grow old pass the days
Undertaker has like 15 surgeries, same with Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold. The number of hits they get to their body and especially the head can't be healthy |

I posted Busquets' story. He might not have been known today if not that Guardiola noticed a tactical role that would make him flourish. A bad defender in the 3rd division of the Spanish league became one of the best players in the history of football.
Kelechi Nwakali's management needs to get him to play for a possessive manager, even if it is in a low division to make people notice his quality. |

Hmm really damning as a professional footballer for the coach to question your fitness levels. What Darell Clarke said is not exactly new Nwakali needs tons of physical work. Natural ability is there but without application its almost useless.
