Education › Re: The Importance Of Taking Pictures - Photo by christejames(m): 8:18am On May 06, 2022
Not for me, because I hardly take pictures right from when I was a child... There is a picture my parents forced me to snapped when I was a toddler grin, the best capture still hard me 'cussing' and struggling with the cameraman. grin

Till date, I only take pictures once in a blue moon sad. And I'm hardly bothered about it...

Why do I need pictures again when people (both male and females) commend my look and physique right from when I was a child till this day... (I'm not bluffing honestly).

The one told about UNN is more painful sad

Our GS (CEDR) LECTURER told us during one of his lectures when the 2015 election was about to hold, he said that we the young ones are really unfortunate, and it's sad that some of us are still pushing for the election of the man (Buhari) that stopped the goodies they were enjoying during their undergraduate days...

He said for example, every weekend you will see cleaners come to your doorstep to get your clothes to be washed. That the refectories (still existing in the school) serve them quality meals everyday on buffets (na you dey choose wetin you wan eat and the quantity you wan chop), there is tea or coffee dispensers for you to use (I saw them in the ref. but they are now nonfunctional)... And lots more, until the ignoble coup of Buhari that stopped that because according to him, it's making the STUDENTS LAZY cry cry cry...

So no be today Buhari don dey want our youths to be ACTIVE than LAZY grin grin grin grin

Well, Tinubu, according to his urchins is coming to feed us cassava and corn grin

Education › Re: What Is The English Name For IGBAKO.. by christejames(m): 8:07am On May 05, 2022
Language is dynamic, each language has so many words it borrowed from another, even your Almighty English... Stop trying to impress the whites by transliteralizing local words into English.

Let the whites pronounce it the way we do because it has no English name.

Let Akara be Akara, Akamu-Akamu, Okpa-Okpa, Moi moi - Moi moi, Okpehe-Okpehe et al...

BTW, Igbako in Igbo means to gather or come together. You see, so many words in a language sounds alike in another or are borrowed from another... No try to the sound 'foneh' pass the Oyibo.

IGBOSON1:
Beautiful! Got a good vibe/ambience….kinda like the O2 Arena!

Anyone know how far they’ve gone with the landscaping….or is it yet to be done like the one of the airport?

Yet to hear Governor Soludos’ plans for how he intends to take on the massive road construction challenge the state is faced with.
I saw a video on ABS where the commissioner of Works and the deputy governor where evacuating waste in Awka City, and some palliative works being done on some roads.

The commissioner there said that they are just giving palliative measures on the roads for now because his teams are enumerating the roads across the state that full construction will commence on very soon, he said the standard and quality of the roads will be unrivaled.

My fingers are crossed waiting for the enumerating to be completed. Can't wait to see the full construction of roads to kick off.
