Emmanueltrinity:Why do you think Umuahia is the best place to raise a decent family? |
From the unprintable stories that have now become a recurring motif in our daily lives in Nigeria, it seems the societal value which we ones cherished as a nation is gradually being eroded. You can't lock your kids in your home to isolate them because in a way they will still find out how to explore their fantasies. Is it a thing of the society? or is it a thing of the city or place of residence? Is it peer pressure? Some will say it has to do with area of residence nay city, but to some Nigerian cities are the same regardless, to others, each cities have their distinct values which they so cherish. So, to you, can you name that city in Nigeria that you think is good to raise a decent family that the society will be proud of? Give convincing reasons why you think the city is the best to raise a home. |

We really need to get rid of shanties and other informal settlement in our urban areas. Sprawl development in our major cities should be nibbed in the bud before they fester into full blown slum... Nigerian cities as a whole need total gentrification and urban regeneration. Some govt have been doing quite well in urban facelifting but they need to stop the problem from the source; rural areas, by building most basic amenities in those areas so as to put a stop to rural-urban migration. Building mansions and whatnots in the villages by individuals like our brothers in the east does, only have little effect in this urban upliftment. |

To be a spendrift, once you start spending money anyhow you wish most Nigerians will presume that's the result of hard work. But a man that is frugal in spending even though he earns higher than the spendrift, they see such person as a laborious worker and a miser. |
