My only issue with this is that the players he has brought in for lots of money are barely any better.
He should never have had that power in the first place. Ajax is a far smaller club compared to United but he wasn't even recruiting players there. How's he now doing it at a club like United.

It sounds like I'm making excuses for him but I was saying these things in the beginning when I didn't like him.

This your faith in Ten Hag is really strong. I don't have that faith anymore, if they sack him I won't miss him.

Having said that, he still has a year left in his contract, INEOS might let him stay. According to Ornstein it's still undecided. Looking forward to the massive clear out in the summer.

FIRST SET
Martial
Varane
Casemiro
Eriksen
Sancho
Amrabat

2ND SET
Rashford
Mctominay
AWB
Maguire
Shaw.
One thing I'm sure of is the cycle will continue if Ten Hag gets sacked. The new manager will come in and check out these players. And most of them will over perform again. I don't care how stubborn the manager is, you'll be fooled. You won't see Rashford banging in goals and say you want him gone. Shaw will look like prime Roberto Carlos again.

The only person they can't fool is Ten Hag. He's seen them over 2 years.

What most actually want is what looks like a plan or actually a plan. Something we can build on going into the next season.

Do you think the manager is not a part of this structure and helpless?
Let's be realistic. We've still got things to fight for this season. We'll play the best way we probably can to get us across the line. Season's been all about survival for a while now.

How's the manager a part of this shit structure we've had for more than 10 years now?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by ChristoBam: 5:30pm On Apr 15
How can anyone watch Ten Hag at Ajax, know his history, his style of play prior to coming to United and then believe this man loves the football on display week in week out.

Y'all were literally calling him Ole pro max cuz we first started out playing really defensive with counter attacks then switch things up recently to real chaos. Isn't it obvious he's just tryng to get through this shit of an unlucky season?

This man deserves time under this new structure. Deserves time to build with a team that's not totally riddled with injuries. Deserves time to build without any distractions from Ronaldo to Greenwood to Sancho to Club takeover. All in less then 2 years. United job is a nightmare tbh.

@lekkie073 how long do you think is enough to wait and see us play a good game considering we're not stuck in 1990 and can't be making reference to that era? Every other team is moving and moving fast, so how long? Remember we're not even talking about winning trophies or contesting for trophies, like just have a good game consistently.
Just one or two years under a good structure is what most of us are even asking for.

It's not even difficult but most just want that new excitement that comes with getting a new manager.

this shows that you don't have a functional thought process. You will support whoever is coming, then go on to disprove of such if things go south.

Its so easy to sit on a chair and brandish solutions to problems that you are not adept at solving. The last time we discussed this was when OLe left. Ragnick came and you were all over place with optimism until the reality of the situation dawned and you embarked on a crying session.

TEN HAGG came and your optimism level rose, all for it to go south again when the reality of the situation dawned again.

For how long are you going to toe this line of increased-optimism-turned-crying?

Let me tell you what you should just know. Eras come to an end. And it takes a while for a once glorious club to reach its peak again, especially when competition becomes intensified.

The glory years of Liverpool came and gone. The club is trying to bring it back, not successful yet.

The glory years of arsenal as a contending force (under Arsene) came and gone, the club is still trying to replicate such, and it might come soon.

The glory years of Chelsea came with Abrahamovich/Jose. Right now, the club is a shadow of what it used to be.

The glory years of Manchester United came with fergie and ended with him. We are trying all possibilities to get it back, which would not be easy too.

We are in the glory years of Manchester city/Guardiola. It will not last forever, but it will take its rightful course.

No matter how hard we try, there is a high possibility that arsenal will win the epl before manutd in the event of Mancity's eventual decline.

But you may not accept all these because you have been used to seeing winning trophies as an exclusive right of Manchester United. It is not.

Any world class manager with a sense of pride will run away from managerial role in Manchester United because they know it is a hot seat that can put a blemish on their rich managerial profile. To assemble an unbeatable team ( right manager and right players simultaneously) is not a matter of one or two seasons.

If you are blessed with a manager with a proven record and such is not performing in two seasons, calling for his head will only amount to starting all over again. Reflect back on the early seasons of Jurgen klopp finishing in mid table. There are many more indices that can be used to understand the present predicament of the club, not just focusing on the managerial roles alone.

Just because he said that side was very porus.

Nawah oh..

Na fans dey spoil players sha.

What of vangal that called Smalling stupid for getting red card against mancity
Very annoying stuff tbh.

They don't know what they're encouraging is a situation the manager walks into the press conference scared to say anything that might get linked negatively to any player. Player power pro max.

How many people here paid attention to what was even said before Garnacho foolishly liked those tweets.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by ChristoBam: 2:10pm On Apr 15
Was Ten Hag's comments about Garnacho a little harsh? Probably? But every manager make such mistakes once in a while. But at United, once the manager is struggling, these ones will go straight to social media to express opinions. And fans will lick it up as long as it's their faves.

That foolish Amad has been subtly acting like a brat on social media for sometime now. He just never makes it obvious.

Only reason I fear this 'coaching role' thing at United. Player power will move to a whole new level.

But he had to.

They could have really been 6-0 ahead of they were clinical in the first half..
That wing was very open..

Let's stop defending players..

If he wasn't fit he wouldn't play.
If he said he wasn't up to speed .he wouldn't play..
They'll never understand. It's the same every single time. Reason these players act the way they do.

If they didn't think the fans will indulge such stupid behavior why would Sancho make that foolish post the other day. Why would Garnacho like those posts he liked just after that match? Why would Amad make posts that looks like he's making subliminal digs?

Then post link to the video na. Rather than post a picture. You can post pictures of sff scenarios to push different agendas.

I can say we play ultra defensive and bring out a picture in which all our players are camped in the box at the moment to push the agenda.

Btw, Ten Hag was heavily grilled by the Dutch media in his earlier years at Ajax mostly because of the transition aspect he was adding to their football. They all ended up shutting up though.

Liverpool do have a young squad, so thereโ€™s a chance heโ€™d do well. But if Amorim comes in and canโ€™t get senior players like VVD, Diaz and Salah on his side, Kasala go burst.

Those two (VVD and Salah) are only chopping pension money. They wonโ€™t like aggressive, front foot football. If things get too hard, theyโ€™ll throw down.
It's a risk they can take. They already have a very good squad.

If it doesn't work out, he gets the sack. Maybe Alonso would be available then. Or someone really good comes up by then.

We have seen managers move in the middle of a season but for whatever reason, he thinks we can get a manger whose contract expires in a couple of months time. I am not sure ETH's agent will do any better.
๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚Why don't you bring Naggelsmann in next month at the end of the season na?
Since you've seen managers move in the middle of the season.

Everyone literally understand Naggelsmann would originally be a top choice for every club, but it's unrealistic because of his present commitment. It's something so clearly defined.

But somehow on this thread, clear things like this gets debated. And the one saying the obvious doesn't know what he's saying.

If a club's going to move for Naggelsmann, it's not one that desperately need to start defining things from the end of next month. And it's definitely not one that has a good manager presently.

You can defend ETH but don't sound ridiculous whilst at it.

Number one, the contract expires after the Euros. He's not engaging in any discussions until after the Euros. You know this, just wan argue.

Secondly he's even in discussion with Germany about a contract extension.

You can decide to continue dreaming ๐Ÿ˜‚. You can even dream of getting Klopp. Wetin concern me.

Nagelsmann can sign an agreement now to take over the United job after his Germany contract expires. He does not actually have to end his Germany job before looking for another job. Ashworth and Berrada left projects at Newcastle and City respectively to join us.

You are calling them unrealistic only because you wish them to be. Barca, Bayern, Liverpool will appoint managers, and none will be Potter or Southgate.
Lol agreement with United just before the Euros? ๐Ÿ˜‚. You're joking. Very few managers get that privilege and they're legends.

There's a reason lopetegui negotiated secretly with Madrid before taking Spain to the world cup. And guess what? Man still got sacked.

I repeat y'all are being unrealistic. Btw, I never mentioned Southgate. All those clubs will be limited to the same managers. Or they can take risks. The type we can't afford at this point.

Nagelsmann's contract ends this year after the Euros. Enrique can leave PSG. He is not French and has no emotional links to the club.
Amorim and Inzaghi are not my preferred choices, but those links are better than Potter and Southgate is what i said.
Whether the manager stays or goes gets decided this summer. So Naggelsman contract situation means nothing. As long as he's not available before the summer. And let's not kid ourselves, Enrique is not leaving a project he just started at PSG for Man Utd. Man wasn't even interested in the job 2 years ago.

I understand what you're saying but all I'm saying is, you're listing unrealistic options. The reason we're linked to the likes of Potter is those ones are unavailable.

I still think Nagelsmann is the best candidate available, and names like Amorim, Inzaghi, Luis Enrique are still better than the Potter or Southgate rumours.

I am hoping those rumours are only because Ashworth previously worked with them.
Lol Naglesmann is tied to Germany. Amorim has shown nothing to even deserve the link to United. And doesn't he play with a back 3? Enrique is not leaving PSG. And Inzaghi lol?

Let's even ignore the fact Ten Hag's the one for the job. Where do you expect to find the right manager?

This is one of those times there's no upcoming manager that really stands out apart from maybe Alonso. And he's never coming to United.

And there's no underground scouting that can be done. There's literally no one doing wonders anywhere.

So, because we wanted ETH, we should continue supporting him even when there's no hope in sight?

On Amad you are comparing a talented youngster we paid good money to bring into the club and Garner, an academy lad. No comparison here, Amad should be getting a lot of minutes especially when you consider how bad Antony has been.
Btw, has there ever been a young player under ETH that complained about not getting game time and ended up as a success somewhere else?
Every talented young player always gets their chance with the guy. This is an Ajax manager that mostly worked with young talents.

Problem ETH might have is overestimating talents. Definitely not underrating them.

Number one, no one's saying that. I said what I said clearly. I'm the last person anyone should call a Ten Hag die-hard supporter. I'm not one that believes every decision or action he takes is right. I didn't even like the guy till he was way into his tenure. That's the point.

Also who cares who was bought in and who came in through the academy in regards to the point being made? Like I don't understand.

The point is the manager thought Garner wasn't good enough and y'all almost had an aneurysm because of it. No one's talking about him again. I don't know what ETH thinks about Amad, but if he doesn't think he's good enough, it's his decision.

Telling me Amad was bought. Like what difference does it make to ETH?
