If there is a decrease in traffic, it should be advertiser's loss. It is the same in every business. For example, a company will give you the price of an item base on the current dollar exchange rate(market value). If the buyer pays some percentage before the production starts and along the line the dollar fails(market value changes) , it is the company's loss, if dollar increases, it is the buyer's loss. The company cannot tell the buyer to add extra payment because of the change in exchange rate neither will the buyer ask the supplier to reduce the price because of the current exchange rate.

Just like the manufacturer and the consumer, there is no past and there is no future in business. Everyone believes/lives in NOW i.e the current market value.

Use the current traffic value of each of the section for the price quotation. If tomorrow you become the next facebook, then use the then traffic to give quotation.
If you decide to update, you can update the price monthly but if you must update daily or hourly, please send email and messages to people advertising at least 3hours before you update so that they can know whether to pull down the add and wait until your price go back to what they want. It is really complicated

Why you answer the our first question, we will appreciate if you can consider the below
The issue of price being updated is somehow hard to understand. Picture this, an advertiser check the current price and from his/her budget he wants his ads to run 5days. He goes to the bank and pay the money, the next day his ads come live! After a day, one big news hit the world which causes a lot of traffic to that section, you as an admin increase the price. The next day, the advertiser received an email which informed him that he has run out of credit. Which means his budget only serve him for 2days. Do you think that the advertiser will find it funny?

I think the price should be fix or you can make it a monthly update but you should notify people each month you make the update. Daily update will cause more confusion. What is your view?

Seun: Your ads will stay on any boards where you have placed them until you run out of credits or until you remove them from the boards.
It's not PPC. We use a really cool fair pricing algorithm. It calculates the weekly price that each section of the forum is worth during the time period that you're using it and it charges you every few minutes based on that price. It charges you more when there's more traffic and less when there's less traffic. You can check the current price for every board on this page: Price List. That list is frequently updated.

From your explanation, I believe that this system is a rotational ads system. My questions are
1.) Let's assume that in a section there are more than 20 advertisers in that section, what is the probability that my ad will appear in a day?
2.) Is it possible for me to know how many times my ads appear in a day.
3.) Is it possible to know the number of clicks my ad receives since the most important thing is not the impression/appearance but the clicks it gets. I want to know how many clicks it receive so that we can be able to make good use of our money and know which section offers the best value.
4.) Can I pause my ads because I see no reason it should be running between 10:00p.m to 6:00a.m Nigeria time especially when you are targeting Nigeria customers. Leaving the ads running during that period is waste of money and credit
