Beync: For ur mind tongue. Imo girls na hot cake if you no no cool
Really? These days,it's only their men dat are marrying them. Most tribes dont look their way again. I had one Imo friend dat I used to like way back but d day she told me bride price is 1m plus plenty expensive stuffs to follow,I lost interest. I learnt even after all d wahala, some pple might end up not leaving with their wife on d wedding day due to many extra stuffs the family will start demanding on dat day. I just got totally pissed off. But in all honesty sha,Imo girls are pretty.

Do you reason with ur anus? What's dis crap you posted?

@ all: Just incase you guys dont know,a lot of peeps at one point in time in dia lives, have toyed with the idea of suicide. The first step to commiting suicide,is falling into depression. At that point, life begin to feel meaningless & worthless to the person. Pple contemplate suicide for different reasons. Some could think of suicide when everything positive they try to do ends in futility. It makes them feel worthless & they fall into deep depression. Others could feel they're not loved,or dont look attractive enough(self esteem issues),etc. However, some pple overcome it just by finding one person who truly loves them. I've faced different challenges in life & have also contemplated taking my life in the past. Each time I thought of it,I ended up remembering a woman who has given everything in life that she has to me. The thought of how she'd cope losing her only son, fear of her running mental & many others, were the only reasons why I dropped the idea. Unfortunately, most pple go thru this but dnt speak up. While I was thinking of it,I was still smiling at pple, trying to help others share their burdens, advicing pple, etc. But I couldn't tell pple my problems cos everyone thought I was doing fine & was more than capable. If it had happened,it would have shocked pple cos no one would have imagined it. Pple who go thru this, just need at least one person who they can say got much love for them. I'm sure if you carry out an anonymous research & ask pple to tell you the truth, you'd be shocked at what you'll get.

@ OP: Look for how to bond with ur sister. Suicide is a function of the mind & once it eats deep into a person's thoughts,it's difficult for the person to come out of it. When you see pple who like staying alone by themselves in secluded places for as long as possible & as often as they can, that's sometimes,a sign there's something wrong. The best way to fight suicide,is to attack the mind of the potential victim positively. Some pple are strong enough to come out of it on their own(my case for example) but not everyone can do that. Even some of d strong ones end up taking their lives over time. You cant save them by buying them gifts or giving them cash;it wont work. You need to draw them out of their self induced seclusion & work on their mental faculty cos that's where the problem resides. You need to find a way of re-organising their minds & debugging them of all negative thoughts. Try as much as possible not to let them stay alone by themselves cos when they do,it's an avenue for them to revisit their worries. You also need to engage them in heart to heart discussions where more than two pple are involved. Hearing others share their deep personal problems, might lead them to ask questions & eventually open up on what they're going through.

djeezy: @Op, include those who come here for advice and do not come back to read the responses or answer questions asked them in furtherance of more erudite and helpful responses. They create a thread seeking advice and abandon it. Nice thread anyway.
True. You've already added it man;no need for me to type it again.

Shey u know say we don enter new year n today na 2nd of jan 2013? Incase u've forgotten,we're no longer in 2012;what kind of thread have you opened n wat advice do u need? U've not said anything dat requires advice as far as I'm concerned. And to think u posted dis after we begged you guys not to do dis to us in 2013? In short, may ur network operator(mtn/glo/airtel/etisalat,etc) block ur sim from browsing NL till further notice. angry
Romance › Re: Pls Help...where Can I Take Her With 7k? by chronique(m): 11:44pm On Jan 01, 2013
You stay @ Bariga & She stays @ Ojodu berger, right? Ok. Those days,I remember there used to be a restaurant called "the kitchen" around Ojudu-berger. They had an eatery downstairs & a proper restaurant upstairs. It used to be cool n nice. A plate of food then was about #700(That was around 2002/2003 or thereabout). Try n see if it's still nice n suitable. Alternatively, you can take her to hotel royale(still around Ojodu-berger). It's about one of(if not d biggest) fun spot around dere. They got a pool side where they fix barbecue n stuffs. This way,you wont spend money on taking her around in a cab since you're gonna be having the date in her hood. Just be wise about it though. Dont spend cos you want to impress her. Just get something you guys can enjoy whilst having a nice chit-chat session.
Romance › Re: I Broke Her Heart, Please How Do I Get Her Back. by chronique(m): 9:29pm On Jan 01, 2013
@ OP: You want a second chance with her? Bia,is ur name Salvador? Are u from Mexico?....

Haven't you heard that you can eat ur cake and have it? Pls leave the girl alone for someone that really needs her. Go look for someone else. By d time you go through d stress of finding a good girl in this present age & time, you'll understand how to keep the next one well. But if you feel you need her back @ all cost, then look for someone who knows her well & explain ur mission. You just might be fortunate to get access to her.
Good points.

Now, what about those who are genuinely searching for partners, or who would be genuine partners themselves, how do they avoid all the questionable characters and dangerous elements around here?

Maybe just not even bother? Just go the pre- internet way, which is keep your intuition about you, since the story of the girl who married a stranger who later divested himself of his entire body, on the way home, comes to mind. If not for God who saved her, in that story. Vice versa too, if you want to switch roles.
I'm not trying to discourage anybody. I just thought I should share an idea on how members of this section of the NL community can make this forum more refined, based on the fact that some people bring up serious issues here & everyone can definitely learn from them.

Romance › 2013: My Advice To Posters On This Romance Forum by chronique(op):
Hi folks! Happy new year to y'all. Pls,kindly permit me to share a few stuffs with y'all so we can have a better romance forum this year. Please,if you belong to the following groups, pls try to change.

1. Those who come here looking for advice(when they already have their minds made up on what to do),expecting everyone here to accept their(poster's) opinions/views,and resort to quarelling & name calling when they cant have their way. If you've already made up your minds on what to do,pls dont bother us with it.

2. Those with very bad use/command of English. If you're on of those who make English sound like French/Latino when one is reading, pls work on yourself. It's sometimes very painful for some of us when we read such & sometimes,we tend to lose interest in your thread(s). This means you'd end up losing valuable advice when people cant understand what you're saying.

3. Those who type in "text msg formats/abbreviation" & call it shorthand. This is gross & unfair to other readers, who'd have to strain their eyes & crack their brains to understand what you're saying. Same goes for those who cant punctuate properly when writing. Eg: "I asked her: are you going home? She said yes,but after talking things through with you" written as "I asked her are you going home She said yes but after talking things through with you?" Pls take note of the differences in both sentences.

4. Those who like to post epistles with a link to a silly blog address to finish reading up boring stories. And most times, when one clicks on the blog address, one would be asked to click several links to get to the main story.... There are smarter ways of advertising your blogs & making more money. Once you do this here, you can be rest assured no one would want to click on your links next time(irrespective of how fascinating the story may be).

5. Those who open threads with little or no substance. Eg: A thread with title/topic - I cheated on her or We just broke up,and the body reads "pls advice needed". What kind of advice do you want when you haven't said anything to us?

6. All the jambites and SSCE holders on this forum, talking about love "when" their use of English is bad, should pls face their books & work on themselves. NL romance section should be the least of your worries now.

7. Those who open threads(especially boring ones) and keep asking mods to move thread to frontpage(notice me members). There's actually little or no difference btw you guys & the first to comment group.

Anyone who has one or two things to add to this, should pls do so.

Happy new year folks!
