Romance › Re: Pick-up Lines That Works For Ladies by chronique(m): 8:14pm On Dec 27, 2012
Well,I'm not a fan of rehearsed lines or pick up lines as you'd call it cos it's kinda lame n childish especially wit d fact dat most guys use almost same lines. I think walking confidently to a lady n introducing urself in a friendly manner might just be it. However, there's something I used to do way back n dnt know if it can still work now(although i dnt see myself doing such today cos i've passed dat stage).

walking up to a girl especially when u're wit ur guys n she's wit her friends, wit some nice distance btw u guys. U greet dem politely n beg her to please help u as u're in trouble. She'd ask why n wat. U'll tell her to promise u she'd help. She'll tell u she cant promise cos she doesnt know u or wat u want. Then tell her how u n ur friends were talkin abt how pretty she looks n how u told ur friends u'd collect her no n how u ended up bettin ur last cash on her....,stuffs like dat. Just beg her to give u her phone to hold so u can pretend u're typin ur no on her phone while ur friends watch u. U'd try to keep a sorry/sober face n add some humour to it. Beg her to smile like u're saying something funny so ur friends wud fink she's feelin u. She n her friends might laff. Then she hands over her phone to u n u end up typin ur no on her phone,n dialing it. Dat way,u've already gotten her no(dat's if she had units on her phone). Later-on,u'll call her n tell her thanks for saving u n ask if u guys can share a few drinks. If she doesnt have units on her phone wen she hands over her phone to u,lurk around so u can go say thank u later to her n still ask if u can hang out n have a couple of drinks.

nb: this style works better for guys on campus or in youth service camp.

The idea of d whole thing is to create a story(lie) abt u n ur friend's taking a bet which neva happened and how ur last cash is on stake. If she's acting tough, just tell her dat u'd follow her home n she'll feed u till d semester ends if u lose ur cash. say it in a funny way. U're likely to get away wit it. If she doesnt fall for dis ur trick, chances dat d girl is a witch is high.

We initially put up a reel of jobs(mostly motion graphics) done for coys like mtn, nigerian brewries, skye bank, gulder, etc. However,we had to take d reel off as we were not given those jobs directly. They were out-sourced to some of our team members individually by d agencies who got them. We did that to avoid any legal issue cos the entity "chronx media" had no legal/direct dealings with them(agencies).

Romance › Re: Why Are Men No Longer Pursuing Women? by chronique(m): 1:01pm On Dec 25, 2012
Well, answer is simple! Men are busy chasing money cos that's d most important.... That's d bait dat draws women closer to us. So,why chase d woman when u can have d woman as a bonus after getting the money? Afterall, you guys are the ones who taught us dat we cant chase d woman successfully without the money.

Xflint: Actually, I don't think is possible for a girl to ask a guy out. I have never heard of it or experienced such thing.
very very possible. I've been asked out several times(most especiallynwen I was much younger nd looked really cute). It's nothing new.
Romance › Re: Why Do Nigerians Prefer To Marry The Rich? by chronique(m): 12:34pm On Dec 25, 2012
vivian chinaza: I'm from a very humble background or should I say poor? Yea poor sounds like it, "humble" just makes it bearable, Lol, ok. But rich guys keep coming for me, and no one has ever cared about my family's financial/social status. In fact, that's the first thing I tell them, I'm always like "dear, don't let my looks deceive you, I'm from a very humble background o." I'm Vivian, and that should be enough!
So contrary to your opinion, majority of guys don't actually care.

A lot of ladies who have misplaced their priorities actually care about how rich a guy is before they consider him and I just pity them. I just hope they realize that the life of a man is a mystery. A man's life can change in a twinkle of an eye.

I'm friends with a lot of people who at one time couldn't even afford a decent meal, but just one phone call changed their lives for best, and vice versa.

Last year, I did a job for this couple that had no house. The groom is my friend and as at then the most valuable property he had was his laptop. In fact, when he told me he was getting married I was like "are u crazy?" Cos he didn't even have a house. Few weeks to the wedding someone gave them a room in his flat and they were squatting there. Whenever I went to the house to discuss their wedding I was always like "how could this girl get married to a man that doesn't have a house?" Honestly, I couldn't understand, I couldn't even think of myself doing it. Well, there marriage is a year old and they are now living in one of the beautifully furnished house I have ever seen.

Stories like this humble me, and I of all the things I have seen in my few years on earth, I have known that riches cannot be guaranteed. I have also known that life is a mystery.

So if you fall in love with someone from a rich background good, if you fall in love with someone from a humble background good too. Marrying a rich person is not a crime, marrying a poor person is not a crime either, provided that LOVE is the driving force.

PhenomenonVFX: @chronique
Firstly, I think that is the most hideous animated character reel I have ever seen. Secondly- haba guy!- u had to go steal someelse's animation school logo to market ur 400,000 naira animation training course. That caveman logo u used belongs to The Animation School in SouthAfrica. Let's just hope ur students are far more stupid than I am. And I read somewhere where u said u spent 4 million naira learning computer graphics and animation, I have got to say u are either not entirely truthful or a very slow learner. No disrespect. I cant even boast of spending up to 50k learning animation (and I am still learning) but my characters are far better than that on ur reel. I think it is time we graphics artists and animators started taking ourselves seriously and stop all this plagiarism; using other peoples model and other peoples animated scenes and passing them off as our own so that people can call us "badt guys". Character animation is one of the hardest things to do in CG. It takes a lot of time learning, hardwork, reading and observing to get it right. It is science. It is arts. It is not for every Tom, Dick and freaking Harry. But when u pay the price of learning and doing ur homework, u always reap the reward of fun and probably fiscal pay-offs too if that is the ultimate goal for u.
We didnt steal anything from nobody and we never said we owned dat image. My admin guy had to download dat image to use when he couldnt access d images we sent him then. It was suppose to be a temporary arrangement.

Secondly, before u start running ur mouth like a leaking basket about the price we put for d course, maybe you should go and find out from Protea hotel(the proposed venue at dat time),how much they'd charge a day for you to use their conference room(incuding the breakfast n lunch dat dey would have served),for the entire duration of d course. Sometimes,I'm surprised @ how the average Nigerian thinks. If you've ever organised or attended any corporate seminar held in a decent/exquisite enviroment, you'd understand our pricing aint out of place, coupled with what would be taught and materials(not free tutorials) dat would be given out. Maybe u need to leave ibadan and come to Lagos and see things done properly. Our target market wasnt every Tom,D-ick n Harry. There are animation schools in lagos who charge millions and teach nothing. Stop talking from ur cave in Ibadan & putting down other pple's hustle. Afterall,we didnt force it down pple's throat.

If you didn't spend up to 50k to learn, clap for urself. Thanks for being the modern day Einstein.
