Stupid people. Instead of them to bring down clearing fees as dollar is skyrocketing, they keep increasing the fees and expect people not to abandon vehicles at port.

He cannibalised my car!! My Range rover became so bad that I sold it for just 1m. The car started giving plenty issues and even started having a parasitic drain. I remember I started disconnecting my battery from the terminals when I want to park overnite. This mechanic knows how to call big big names and parts..he's a fraud o...pls run..so many unscrupulous elements in this forum!!

Below is a picture of me and my brown coloured range rover in his garage at airforce...u can see him smiling behind my dad who wore green trousers...He battered my range! And I really loved that range!

The vehicle problem is very simple, you ask me how? One of 5volts sensor is grounded internally.... That is what is responsible for incessant blowing of the fuse or drain of the battery. Tell ur mechanical or electrical technical to put test light on the negative post of ur after he must have removed it from the battery terminal.... The test light will glow or light which confirmed that there is a short to ground in the wiring system of the car. He should start to unplug the sensors one after the other until the light goes off . Then he needs to isolate the sensors and wiring for fixing and repeat the test procedure to confirm the issue had been cleared. Better still reach me on my xup

Bro I after this dude took 500k + from me. My Ramge rover was in his mechanic for 4months b4 I and my dad came there and forcefully took the key and drove the car home like that with a bad smokey engine and damaged hydraulic suspension...he's a smart crook and he just knows how to speak Queens English.. uno see abandoned cars in his garage..so many exotic range and benz...the range rover vogue he even drives was forced sold by his customer to him for peanuts...baba use force and redeem ur car b4 its too late!!!...Too many fake experts on nairaland!!!

I was really hoping that I would not hear a story like this cos already, the whole thing is already triggering my BP issues. Reading this has just unsettled me right now. I'd be so pissed to hear anything has happened to my engine or transmission in the process of this 9 months trying and error experience.

the whole system in the country is corrupt but let's see how we will get it done. You can report to a higher authority but make sure the car is in a condition that would make it moveable and you will be ready to do case with the man. 9 months is a lot and he isn't even remorseful despite the bad repute he has brought to your name and you were just trying to help him out and expand his business in your own way.

God for mechanis that have diagnostic machines. They'll trace the problem in no time. Avoid all these lame mechanics.

He has all those diagnostics equipment. That's why I even took it to him in the first place.

There is a car wash infront where you drive in? if yes let's relate and see what can be done but its best you move your car oi of there because 9 months is too much and its not as if you're the one delaying self. Have you seen the car recently and don't let them know when you want to go pick the car up so you can see the present situation of the car and betterstill you might have to get the police involved and therefore would spend money on the matter

Yes. It's same one. I once reported him to a junior officer there who later told me that the technician called a superior officer to him after he tried to intervene...

you forget to add some nuts from the wheels which the umu-boyi would av stolen and sold 500 naira to go play betnaija. the car carpets would av been converted to mats for servicing other cars.

the car battery would av been totally dead by now from using it to charge their useless phones!

His workshop is within the confines of a military base. They airforce actually operate and manage the entire mechanic Village. I guess that's why he has the temerity to do as he has done.

Thing is almost everyone would claim they can fix it and they are specialists until you give them a car to fix and they start fumbling with it. It's why I was avoiding giving it to mechanics around me.

Wait till 9 years. I have nothing to tell you now

It has taken so long cos after I gave him car, I've been in and out of the hospital until I finally had a procedure done that kept me in the hospital for a month. I've been given a 6 months recuperating period from the procedure. I've not been at my best physically and health wise since the beginning of the year. I'm only just beginning to get my physical levels up and walk better. All of these has impacted on my ability to effectively follow through on it.

Maybe na Rewire problem the car get self , not sure it’s a mechanic problem .

Get a good Rewire with a scanner to scan the car , the scanner will detect the fault , the Rewire will fix it and you will be good .

I had similar experience with one idiot mechanic few years back , i spent almost all the 200k loan on the car , he was just using my money to pay for his kids school fee that just resumed school.

Not knowing it was a Rewire problem , when i carry am go Rewire place I no spend reach 20k and d car did not develop fault for almost 2 years .

Car doesn't have a mechanical problem. It's a wiring problem. I was trying to avoid giving roadside mechanics the car to fix and that's how I asked them to tow it to him cos I thought he had the expertise to fix it.

2. Move your car to another repairer
3. you can only retrieve part of the money you gave him.

The earlier you move the car out the better for both of you.

I'm beginning to suspect he doesn't have the expertise to handle it and sincerely, I knew him as a range rover technician initially. He worked on a couple of them for me in the past before I took two Mercedes Benz to him to fix but it was just balloon and brakes and all that he fixed on them. I've never really had him work on a complex issue for me before. Maybe if I had, I probably would have guaged his level of expertise.

You really disappoint me sha. Find two boys to accompany you go to his workshop unannounced, if he runs your two bot will join you in the chase to grab him. Make a fuse, take him to police and let them sort it out.

Carry police or Army with tow truck, carry every available tools that can enter the Benz, anything valuable minus customer properties sha. All tools you can lay your hands on if you see his children and wife too, carry them join he will beg you to take your money las las and nah him go dey find you.

He's workshop is actually in the airforce mechanic village and as such, I have to show some level of respect and decorum in handling the matter. I've reported to the assistant chairman of the base but nothing meaningful has come out of it. Still same flimsy excuses from day one.
