Politics › Re: From Russia with love by chronique(m): 8:02am On Sep 14, 2015
I'd take it that you do not understand what happened in Afghanistan. Afghanistan didn't do anything to Russia. They actually invited the Russians to help them quell the threat from the Taliban militia which Osama was part of at that time. What was supposed to be a short operation, dragged on for years because the U.S were secretly funding the Taliban militia with billions of dollars and weapons,so as to upstage the Russians and draw them into a long conflict which would become expensive for Russia and drain them economically. The U.S believed Russia had a hand in their loss in Vietnam, and decided it was a way of paying back the Russians in their own coin. This was made known by a former CIA agent who was involved in the whole thing. I'm not sure if the dude is still alive. I used to love America passionately until I read about the role they played in creating the monster called Osama. Their achievements in Iraq with Saddam and what they have truned Libya into, has finally nailed the coffin. America has been notorious for funding terrorists against govts of nations. Osama Bin Laden was trained by the U.S and used by the Taliban forces to distabilize Afghanistan. Several years later,He became a menace to the whole world and turned against the U.S and that's the reason America preferred killing Osama, than catching Him alive. They never wanted to try him for terrorist actions cos a lot of info that can turn the world upside down, would have been released. You might not like GEJ but I thank God for giving him wisdom not to sit tight at Aso rock cos I'm sure the U.S never had the best of plans for Nigeria. If He had sat tight and allowed violence to occur,I'm very sure I wouldn't have this opportunity to type with you now cos I'd probably be dodging bullets,or running from bomb explosions,or looking for my siblings here and there... Maybe in another 20 years from now, another CIA agent would write and tell us what the U.S planned for Nigeria in 2015.

Mr. Op who loves to rant about the Arab affairs and American "military weakness", my advice to you is to stop the foolery. On what planet do you reside? Hating America shouldn't make you lose your senses. You have the right to Hate but you should also be able to see clearly when you are crying and have tears in your eyes.

Russia can never, I repeat that Russia can never sustain a long-haul war. Go and learn what Afghanistan did to Russia. Is there any country that can sustain two wars at the same time in a span of 13 years? American military is built to sustain 50 year war on five fronts. America is the gentle giant of military might. Putin knows this very well. When is Putin going to try to engage one NATO nation in a conflict?

If ever a time happens that Russia ends up in military conflict with the U.S, I rather be on the U.S side because Russia is no match to U.S in terms of arsenal. All Russia can boast of are nuclear arsenal that the entire NATO ready to unleash on Russia if Russia ever try to use it.

The U.S has refrained from showing chest muscle like Putin has been doing in the last 12 years. The Americans know what they have and won't brag about it. Putin can keep boasting and keep showing his insecurity and inferiority. Displaying weapon upgrades doesn't mean you have more arsenal than the U.S.
Politics › Re: Nigeria's 'brown Envelope' Journalists - Aljazeera by chronique(m): 7:10am On Sep 14, 2015
Journalism in Nigeria is trash. It's so bad that when you read a news item, you'd have to wait for at least a week to know if it is true or not cos the chances of that article having a rebuttal is as high as 95%. Nigeria is in chaos at the moment but we do not know it. The history of this nation has forever been altered and destroyed so much that the next generation will never get to know the truth about Nigeria. No thanks to the politicians and the hungry/devilish Nigerian journalists.
Politics › Re: Why Frequent TAM Of Refineries Is A Waste Of Time-Ben Bruce by chronique(m): 6:50am On Sep 14, 2015
Just the plain truth. During Obj's period,a lot of money was stolen from Nigeria all in the name of TAM. At the end of the day(towards the last part of Obasanjo's second term),He had to abandone the TAM and issued licenses to people so they could build new refineries. GEJ favored the idea of building new refineries than doing TAM but the politics played in Nigeria, and all the wahala associated with subsidy payments coupled with Labour Unions threat to shut down the economy by going on strike, apparently left us as a nation, going around and dancing on one spot. At the end of the day,we settled for the monster called TAM. Buhari has come in and we're still talking about TAM again. After sometime,I'm sure He too will realise that TAM is a fraud and a drainage pipe to our scarce resources.
Politics › Re: Like PDP, We Won’t Hang Buhari’s Portrait – LP, PPA by chronique(m): 2:06pm On Sep 13, 2015
Bro,be honest with yourself. There is a difference between criticism and direct insult. I don't have a problem with a president being criticized. What I have a problem with,is calling a president, names like jona.daft,jonadunce,dullhari,dullhardinho,etc. APC supporters here on NL were the ones who were drafting such names for Jonathan and the PDP supporters only took off from where they left off.
blackpanda:
[s][/s]

On the contrary, APC never maligned Jonathan. All the insults Jonathan got were as a result of the poor performance, cluelessness and complete impunity of his regime. It was not only APC that showed dissatisfaction with the regime, the entire Nigerians were shocked at the gross incompetence of PDP; and this clearly showed in the elections. If u considered how difficult it is to unsit an incumbent in Nigeria let alone do it with such ease, it shows clearly Nigerians disliked the regime.

You cant compare this with the silly noise the current useless opposition are making: the president wife bought wristwatch, that she is using title of first lady, that buhari didnt declare assets...etc. all of which were done by the pdp (to the extreme!).
Refusing to place the Presidents photo just shows the type of lawless and irresponsible party they are. And if the cant recognise Buhari as President, then what give them the moral justification to criticize him?

In the build up to the elections this year,I warned about APC setting a bad precedence that would eventually go on to become a norm in Nigeria and this is already happening sooner than expected. The office of the presidency was so much maligned to the extent that one would marvel at the type of politics being played in Nigeria. It didn't take long for tables to turn and for supporters of both parties to switch roles. The day I read a post from cramjones where he was fuming and warning people against insulting Buhari,I knew we were already doomed. That dude was one of the senseless morons who started the new trend of rubbishing the seat of the presidency by calling him all manner of names... How would Nigeria look like if the opposition parties decide to do all that the APC did while in the opposition? If the APC never hung the ex-president's portrait then and were never chided for such uncivil behaviour, then I see no reason why the new opposition parties should be criticized for towing same line. This is simply Karma playing out.

Career › Re: Official Car For Assistant Manager, Nothing For The Manager by chronique(m): 9:47am On Sep 13, 2015
Your post is the reason why you should never be made a manager in that place. Let me explain something to you. Early this year,I got involved with an elderly man who is also in my line of biz. I bought a car from him last year and when I decided to move my biz to ikeja this year,I spoke to him about having a partnership. All I'd do will be to move my cars over to the lot he uses(he lied to me that he was the one in charge of the lot but I later found out he was a mere squatter who didn't even have a single car to himself for sale). When he needs any car,he'd call me and when we go out,he'd tell people I'm his boy or P.A and I'd keep quiet about it just so the biz can work. I realized he was having ego problem but managed him and overlooked it. We however fell out, when he started scheming to take over my importer and I later discovered he was a truck load of shit(always claiming what he doesn't have and knowing people he doesn't know). Now,if you'd seen me with him and his rickety car that I wouldn't be caught dead driving, you'd wonder how I managed to be his P.A. Even though I had more contacts and connects to notable auto dealers than him,I didn't put all that into consideration when dealing with him. I accepted his so called P.A title, just so biz can go on. Any sane person seeing us will definitely know I'm not his P.A.

What am I saying to you here? Yes,you are more skilled in that area than he is but you're the assistant for a reason. So long as the company's biz is moving on well, and your salaries and entitlements are being paid to you,I see no reason why you should be bothered about this. Moreso,it's too early for you to start thinking like this.

This is something I have never wished for. You can call the airforce in,to drop its payload on terrorists in the north where the terrain is made up of rocks, hills, deserts, mountains and caves but you can't just drop bombs all around the Niger Delta without possibly destroying oil wells/fields and pipielines/gas pipelines. At the end of the day, you'd end up destroying our national source of income. The second part is that the moment you start shelling the Niger Delta, all foreign oil companies will close up immediately. This would leave the country grounded financially. This is a very difficult time for Nigeria. Mehn,I need to start hustling to relocate my family out of this country before we all get trapped in. Bella was right afterall.

There's nothing we won't see in this country again o. So after cooking as a bachelor,I'd still get married and continue the cooking? But my name is not baba basirat or baba put nau...
I cook very well as a man,but do not expect to continue that when I'm married. My reason for getting married is to have a companion and a helpmate and I need her help more in domestic matters;not financial. Leave me to do the hustle while you tend to the house;simple. I'm not saying a lady shouldn't work o. All I'm saying is that her first priority, should be looking after the house. Working and earning money should be secondary to her. People should learn how to state how they want their homes to be,before getting married. That way,all parties would know what is expected of them ahead of time.
