How does frog relate?

It has happened to me when i was leaving near the swampy area. I was choked three times before i remembered what my parents told me about frog like creature. It is longer than frog. I don't know the actual name. I saw the small one of it moving like someone doing press up when i point torch light on it. I immediately removed it and i was able to sleep soundly and thereafter.
