dominique: Medicine is just as important as IT anywhere in the world. That's why people are studying nursing for japa purposes
Compare how many job opportunities provided by both professions. We have countless jobless medical and allied health graduates. IT is the future any serious country should really invest in IT. Checkout India!!
Nigerian government should wise up. Instead of establishing universities with irrelevant courses they should think about IT courses because they are next generation opportunities and future
Rip Eboh. We miss you. I have always watched and loved your videos. I live in the diaspora but your videos bring nostalgia to us abroad, showing us our home country. Unfortunately you died in line of duty. Your death is really painful.
ireneidiva: I've attended similar interviews in Nigeria where everyone is friendly and free. There are also companies in Nigeria where everyone is addressed by their first names.
Quite agree with you but with all my experience till I left the country I never experienced such a friendly and free work environment.
This only apply to Nigeria the poverty capital of the world with high unemployment and under employment.
Here in Europe, employers literally slide into my LinkedIn message to sell open positions to me, some will even offer monetary benefits like signon bonus paid just to attract employees.
When I go to interviews here, I ask for water or tea whatever they have.. Interview is conducted as friendly chats with lots of jokes and humour. You have to tell them what you want to be paid and both parties can negotiate the salary.
Unfortunately, in Nigeria we are so timid with employees because the country is in total mess.
When I first arrived here, I addressed my boss as sir until one day he corrected me to address him by his first name. You are not obligated to greet anyone first.. Even bossess say hi to employees without expecting the employee to greet first..
Nigeria is in deep shit. We need to emancipate ourselves socially, mentally, economically, politically, religiously.
LoveGifted: No wonder 90% of them are very STINGY...
If you ask any of them to please send you money, they will just ignore you yet when they want to come back home, they would be looking for you to help them in one way or the other.
That was how I asked some of them whom I know to please send me their some money for School fees last week (for am going back to school to atleast further and better my life) based on the fact that I have done lots of favors for them in the past. Na so so story. Even if it is $20 it is something, I will add it to what I have. No way!!! Stinginess is their name.
Yet these guys where people I was feeding while in University. They will drink my Pure water every night and finish it without replacing everyday. They have forgotten.
Anyways, such is life. The Dice is still rolling.
In this life, just keep your hope on GOD for all men will fail you even those you have helped but GOD will never fail.
Also, I don't like getting Clients from Canada. They too dey price my market. Some of my products cured my MALE patient whose MANHOOD WAS DEAD BUT FINALLY ROSE UP. HIS MANHOOD WAS NOT STANDING BUT after he took some of my heath products, it finally STOOD UP.
This man called me from Canada saying he wants to buy the product. Product is 25K. Come and see how this man was pricing something of 25K to 15K. I became so angry. Na so u stingy reach even to your own health. Him telling me the Doctors in Canada told him he will do Surgery and he is afraid. He does not want to die now.
He sent the money but I did not rest. Every minute my phone will ring. Baba was policing me about. To even waybill it to him in Canada via DHL was another 23K. That one was another war. Shipping from Nigeria to Canada takes like 3 days. Those 3 days ehn, I did not rest atall.
After I shipped the product to him and he received it, I blocked his line biko. He was already stressing me, policing me and giving me headache.
If Canada is making you badly stingy even to yourself, PLEASE LEAVE FOR YOUR SANITY.
LOL bro. Not always like you think...
Yes we have job but too tell you the truth we are broke and have bills to pay with close to nothing to save...
People in naija thinks everyone abroad is rich to spare ordinary 20 dollars.. My bro millions abroad are just managing and close to nothing our expectations when we are in naija..
If naija atleast 50% of the Canadian standards. Millions will return home.. Its better at home bro.. Just that home is nothing to write about.. Reason why people prefer to be abroad.
Hi Guys, I am just wondering if anyone seen this on the Nigerian night sky.
So it doesn't freak you out, I have decided to share it here so everyone will be informed.
The billionaire SpaceX CEO is launching satellites into orbit and promising to deliver high-speed broadband internet to as many people as possible.
Something you might be less familiar with is Starlink, a venture from Musk that aims to sell internet connections to almost anyone on the planet by way of a growing network of private satellites orbiting overhead
Elon Musk announced in a tweet on Friday that Starlink, the satellite internet service launched by SpaceX, his space exploration company, has been approved in Nigeria and Mozambique.
This news is coming three days after Musk answered a tweet about the service launch in Africa.
“Yes, first countries in Africa to be announced coming soon,” he tweeted. “Starlink will serve everywhere on Earth that we’re legally allowed to serve.”
Starlink operates in more than 30 countries where it is legally approved, in essence, where it has required licences to provide internet services.
Its launch in Africa, particularly in Nigeria, has been in the works since 2021. Last May, SpaceX sent some representatives to the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the country’s telecommunications regulator, to discuss the possibility of obtaining a license to operate Starlink in Nigeria.
According to reports from local press, Nairametrics, the NCC has approved this license, corroborating Musk’s tweet today. The publication also said the license Starlink Internet Services Nigeria Ltd. (its trading name) obtained is under the Internet Service Provider (ISP) category — other service providers such as telcos and private operators fall within this category, too — and will last for a decade starting from May 2022
sirgigs: Thanks for your advice. But ain't one of those scams okay.
Cheers
Hey bro, I am planning on moving from another EU country to Ireland with my family. How easy is it to find a job? I have 3 years experience in technical support.
Carlyscales: You need to go check inec portal for the uploaded result for idemili North. Apc is doing electoral magic there. That results for apc can be turn d tables
Likely that the airport road will be armed robbers and kidnappers infested. I'm Anambranian living abroad, can't wait to return home but the crimes and Insecurity breaks my heart.
The pressure to make money abroad is too much. Families and friends in Nigeria expectations to make money is pushing people into sick crimes.
When you tell people it's not easy abroad they will think you are a liar or lazy.. Once this people find there way In some shady countries where they can't find legitimate employment they resort to crimes as only viable option to survive..
Before marriage i have sex everyday with my wife. Then after marriage coupled with lots of night shift and stress i couldn't keep with my wifes demand. Well i have to keep doing my job with her but at times not because i want but because she wants and start touching my manhood.
timesup234: Those who work salry job make 5k easily everyday from tips. They don't even touch their salary. Too much rich people and money in Nigeria. The circulation is getting to everyone thats while within 8months of working in Nigeria you can start building your own house. Something that takes over 50yrs for a middle class America, that's why they all die in debt while Nigerians leave at least three properties to be inherited. The children inherting those properties add 10 more to it. Up Nigeria!!!
What's the percentage of people owning properties compared to poor and jobless people roaming the street. Can you answer why Nigeria has over 100 million poor people in abject poverty? Yes, I understand some people make money but the percentage is so small.
What about millions of youths graduating yearly without job opportunities or businesses. These are what drive people out of Nigeria. If the country is good nobody will leave.
timesup234: So so paid paid paid una sabi. salary illusion don damage una thinking. I kow millions of roadside businesses making profit of over 20k daily. Are you guys so blind or you enjoy your suffering?
Everyone cannot be an employer of labour or entrepreneur, even those with access to capital. You guys should know this.. If Nigeria was wonderful, why is it poverty capital of the world?
Eriokanmi: I'm on oyedepo's side on this. I took same bold step but never regretted it. I'm an embodiment of God's favour and grace. Shebi we go the America sef, but I chose to return home after my program. I don't know if the highest earning Nigerian living overseas can match me in revenues monthly. I give them money each time I go America. Ordinary 100 dollar is like giving them millions. I had shared stories of my life and that of my uncle who used to work at Walmart in the past as stores officer. He shunned the flashy lifestyles over there and came back home, to introduce a solar inverter manufactured by trace engineering, USA which later became Xantrex. His friends booed him, they said village people had come calling, that he's been bewitched. This man today is a billionaire. He had a major leap in his business when the atm revolution erupted in Nigeria, he became favourite of old generation banks including the CBN for installation of inverters to power all their atms nationwide. Na foreigners like Indians for chop the whole money clean mouth, come pay our graduates employed with peanut.
Nigeria is a land of honey and milk. Na those in government God go punish for discouraging foreign investors from coming in through their selfish ends. Where I've stepped my feet into, none of our the leaders' children had had the opportunity to reach, in their entire life. I've been with Barak Obama, courtesy my profession in DAR Hall( Daughters of American Revolution Hall) near the white House in DC.
Do we have challenges? Yes, we do. Are they surmoutable? Yes they are. Buhari can't be in government forever. If pool comes to shove, we break up and we bear our fathers' names . We can still work together as neighbours in areas where each has a comparative advantage. I have a friend who had his masters and PhD in a university in NC, where he lives. Recently, I saw him posting tokunbo cars on his status for sale...an associate Prof selling used cars...what a life! Back home he'd be an oga in one of our universities where his service would be appreciated.
You achieved success in Nigeria individually doesn't mean living in Nigeria is better than moving to USA. If Nigeria is that wonderful, why is it the poverty capital of the world
