There are noises while driving at various speeds and there are 3 possible problems associated with this

The first is due to loose steering rack bolts but this is extremely rare.

The second issue is the intermediate shaft can be felt through the steering wheel and sometimes in the floor by your feet.

The third is the next common problem to the intermediate shaft. It occurs mostly at low speed just as you turn the wheel. It sounds like a creaking noise and can come from either side of the vehicle

It's common in camry Avalon and rav4. It has a very simple fix. I fixed mine myself. It just needs lubrication. There is a TSB on it.

I hate the rav4 because of its steering column issues, and abs issues.

I hate the CRV because it's not very sprinty on the road. I would rather not get any of them.

my camry XLE gearbox is acting up, when the revving gauge (RPM) moves above 2, the gauge will go wild, the car will not accelerate
but if i stop the car shift to park and back to drive, it will normalize. when i off the engine for like 30mins,

ur transmission is not changing gears. May be vehicle speed sensor located on the gearbox. Rat fit don chop the wire. But once scan points to anything inside the gearbox, brace up for a search for a new transmission.

I know someone who used one and he absolutely hated it. was in and out of the mechanic. however I see some around pH but don't know if they still have their original engines in them. the pix u posted looks like the facelift of that model. before u buy that car make sure u scan. it is a Volkswagen and comes with Volkswagen problems (electrical issues). if you spot wires snaking around the engine bay or burnt fuse box, flee. check the wires that run under the carpet close to the drivers side, make sure it is free of corrosion. if its an auto, test drive extensively before parting with your money.
things you may replace regularly when u buy the car are mostly electrical motors like glass and wiper motors as well as door actuators.
its a slow car by the way.

This car is obd2 compliant I guess. If so, scan it. Is ur abs light on? Is it automatic or manual transmission.? I kn check engine light is on. Scan this ride if u can. For sure ur Idle air control valve will also need cleaning up or changing.

I actually came to this forum to check if someone has this same experience and what advise has been given.
My RX300 has a similar problem,i have changed 3 airflow meters all to no avail.My car drinks fuel like water.After purchase,delivery and first servicing,it was found that the CATALYST POTs were removed,could the smoke be from there?

a friend of mine had same situation 2 weeks after he took delivery of his 2006 sienna. Very black smoke, couldn't fire well, guzzled fuel. Scan showed mass airflow sensor as culprit. But all the mafs brought didn't work. At the end of the day it was a multimeter I used and discovered there was no power to the maf. We found a blown fuse, replaced at the cost of 50naira. That was just the solution. So scan and check your fuses.

there may not be something actually wrong but it's not right. There is a tsb by Toyota on this issue and it affects 2gr-fe engines with their 3way catalytic converter. The problem is In the catalyst producing hydrogen peroxide making it have rotten egg smell. To resolve it, catalyst has to be changed.
