pls i took the DE form too bt i had a lower credit from a well recognise poly. i chose unijos as my first and second choice. wat my chance of getting admission into the sch.
anybody with a gist
To be sincere with you with a lower credit the chances are not to bright but with the way admission and educational issues are handled the chances are almost the same with those with distintion that is if you know any high rabking admin officer in the school or a senior lecture. It has become very obvious with the new thrend that connection matters a lot. Even at that I would still encourage you to personally repare for an entrance exam inacse any is called for.

No matter what anyone might think we are in this for four years, if we can survive 2 years don't be supprised that we might remain on Auto-pliot for under 6 years.

For those of u that thought we would run away after loosing a cup, i want you to know that I remain committed to suporting MAN U we only lost to a better side that played a better football this season, loosing a Pound to Baca was wat the while they played a better game at the final than we did,  next season they would be defending the cup while we prepare to take it back. EventsRe: Can One Plan A White Wedding With 450k? by chukxy44(m): 5:00pm On May 07, 2009
Let make this very easy for:
FOOD is the koko in any event, if u like rent the finest hall way they town with out food u would hear the gist even years wen u are long goon.
so how do we tackel food, if u are estimating 150 people + mo gbo mo ya like 200 = 350 people.
Fast food lunch is like  650*350 people = 227500. and if you decide to cut futher cost, i know some one who would charge like #200,000 and still get u a world class food service.
Drinks : soft drinks woulod give u 50*350 = #17500.00 some people no go drink, some go drink pass 2 bottle.
then just buy like 10 bottle of wine 10*600 = 6000 and few malta say 72*80 = 5,760.00
and comot #5000 for few chop chop, chichi, donut, chips and grandnut.
total on feeding =255760
dats for feeding now to clothes Bride and groom alone = you go see better suit for 20k and ur wife suppose borrow from frnd or mama, and if she no wan borrow then rent for 10K or better still buy at 35k
Hall use a school building with large field at worst you go pay 20k
Music i know D.J way go charge 15k
everyone esle should source for their wears, but give cheap specification like grroms men should wear blue or pink shirt on black suit while the brida train should pick cheap material and use their money to buy (infact ur piority is ur own cloth and ur bride forget others they go suring get there's just promise them an eveining together including the organizers committe.)
so far you have spent = 345760.00
remaining =104,240.00
that should pay canope and chair and others.  find my number and call if u want more info.

kev-d:
The illusion that right now things can get better in Nigeria is a myth.I'm not being pessimistic , Im just being very realistic. We Nigerians at home have allowed our country to be hijacked by a cabal(PDP) and they that we are very docile and cannot think properly. The conditions for investment and private enterprise are just is almost non-existent.
1-First of all there is a strong monopoly on crucial infrastructres for business and certain businesses, that has beeen hijacked--thats a fact, no amount of patriotic talk can obscure this fact.if you are not connected to this people , no hope for you.
2- some of the very leaders that claim to speak for us (Govenors, Senators, Representatives and civil service) cannot approve any business ideas without collecting bribes that far offset thethe capital and profit combined. How can honest business thrive in such an evnvironment.Eg try and get a local contract and see how much bribes you will have to pay.Its not worth it.
3- complete collapse of infrastructure particularly Power and Fuel supply.Tthe average Nigerian at home does not seem to care.
4- the fetish and ignorant behavior of nigerians in General.(from tribalism, nepotism ,cryonism, hatred for innovation, discrimation against youth and novel ideas from youth by our elders, hatred for success, inabilty to use/pay bank loans etc).
These are some of the mammoth roblems that you face as an entrepreneur in this country.Yes there are some succeses, put that pales in comparison to the number of businesses that could have flourished if these factors were corrected.
Now I know am not alone. the truth is that there exist different classes of people in world, d same is applicable to nigeria, try and get a clean contract and lets see or better still start a business and explain how u got ur initial capital. If any of those hailing our present condition can be bold enough to explain there success story without parent affluence and background advantage then i would resign my present job and head back to IMO STATE

Guys, lets change this irresponsible attitude of asking where is job and all those comlaints, we have today Malasia, China, India and Singapore as good examples of what a hopeless nation can make happen if the people would take individual responsibilities.
Instead of yammering about lack of jobs, why not believe in yourself and turn it to an opportunity for you to build your own organisation and create jobs.
Change your minds people!
I would like to ask u a simple question and that is how did u generate ur first capital. it is not really about starting, being on ur own or been a lazy citizen. the fact about nigeria is this, it is either you have money or you have someone who can loan u, and if u tink of banks(Mirco Finance bank Inclusive) then u would have the same kind of experience i presently hold. I have a runing nose, with a head that is hiting like hell and my temperature would bost any thermometer that you bring close to to my body this simply means am seriously sick. I just decided to log on to read a post that might easy the burden am caryy, all becose i have several wounderful plans and i have decided to invest in one of my creative ideals. By my projection if i had the Loan of #500,000.00 naira i have been chasing for over a month now, i would be willing to stay and help rebiuld the falling wallls of jeruslam but the truth is am stuck, I have to pay about 95-98K on several charges raning from administraive cost, to cot, to vat on cot to interest. I wish i could just get a ride wake up and disappear but the fact is I have family and love one and am really d irreponsible fellow, the worst part is I am presently carrying a work load in office that use to be two other people responsiblity just to ensure that the finance management submit a profit as fiance report. I can't possible type all am going through all because i don't want to have my children write post such as this in future.

if u home is iraq or vietnam wuld u stay there?
Is not that nigerians are to survivals but the fact still remains that we have no aid, ineletricity, water, road, housing, food name itpresently am suppose to raise 100k as customers contribution for 500k yet this is not part of the other charges all because of one single loan to invest in a bussiness. May be the rich and the favoured will not understand but my strenght cmes from the other end were there are people with the same quest to achive success but can not help it. We love our country but want can it offer, job- I have dat but they pay me half of wat my predecessor was earning yet she did not do half of wat am presently doing. I can go on and on but am sick and tired of Nigerian government , the non supportive economy and there Banks . Pls. do over look my typing errors cause am just not me.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Employers Or Slave Drivers? by chukxy44(m): 1:01pm On Apr 02, 2009
The most anoying part of it is the Workload/Salary. You work like an Elephant but can not even aford to eat like a rat cose it is either u are on the run to repay a loan or u have over presented I.O.U request. It is the Government, we have want it takes but just imagine the generally economic and business environment of Nigeria. no Power, No water and every other business without this sounds like scam not forgeting banks 5'c of credit how can one meet up with there requirments not even considering the so called interest rate and other charges to be short and simply. We need a coup' (wip out the old politicians and there successors, OBJ, IWU and , ) and lets start over. the country is in a big mess, we are far from 2020.

PoliticsRe: I Don't Believe The Problem With Nigeria Is Our Leaders by chukxy44(m): 1:56pm On Feb 23, 2009
I wud have loved to agree with the poster but I belive we should be more pratical and realist by striking a balance. The truth is that the Leaders have set a very bad precident for us, That is why the few vacancies u see been advertised are seeking for people with 3-5 years experience, and only those with connections gets the better Jobs, the choice course, infact the good part of life. But I share in his opion of the contribution of the fellowers to making Nigeria what it is today(I.e A place were evil and coruption strives), If we can be sincere to our self in not cutinging coners just to have undue advantage, if we would not contuie to flood our work and schools places with our relatives on personal grounds( I.e with or without meeting basic requirements). I strongly belive Nigeria would be a better place for all. I belive the solution lies both ways as well, the Leaders seting positve standards and we in our own little way having the fear of God in us and also try to reimbeb moral ethics and social justice in our little way. Bottem line is hands must be on desk if sanity must be restored to Nigeria cose i belive it has cease to exist.

I want to complain about this issue of crossing the road and the so called mobile court, I would want those in authority to please take note of the calibar of people they employ as enforcers due to the fact that the so-called MObile court agents have taken over the Nigerian police in personally charging and bailing offenders. Like they say, court charges N5000 while the out of court is N3500, pls. the government should put a stop to this as it has only contributed in panting Nigerian law-enforcement agents as been more corupt than offenders

Applying and receiving appointments letter for a Job is not the same thing as accepting the Job or their offer, why not apply first, then wait for the appointment letter when it finally comes through then u can critical examin your present in line with whatever they are willing to offer, personally i belive there are more to working than just the pay, so all you need to do is to set your piorities right when the offer comes through.
