Good Afternoon Everybody,

I want to first say you guys are doing a wonderful job, thanks a lot for all the helpful tips.

Please My younger sister applied on May 16th in Ikeja and as at today there has been no mail of any sort from them.

She called the UKVI and they specifically said that a decision had been reached over 2 weeks ago and they are surprised that she hasn't gotten her passport, and they promised to escalate. However she called again today and they said there isn't much they can do as they have made a decision and her passport should have gotten to her by now.

Please what can she do as she is supposed to travel next week.

Thanks a lot.

Go through the POE before u cancel ...

Thank you, maybe I'll book a cheaper hostel. That canceling wouldn't be too expensive.

If you printed the statement before the current balance you are talking about, I don't think you have any problem.

Thank you. I did

You can't use family business account to fund a non-business trip

Thanks A lot for your reply, actually I used the same account for my mum. We are going for my sister's graduation and she got her renewal. I've also used it several times in the past too.

My main question was the low current balance being that it's not reflected in the statement and if it will affect my application.

Good Afternoon guys, please I have a delicate issue. I've actually submitted my documents using self service and going for my walk in appointment in few days time. The only problem is that my (family) company account which is actually my sponsorship account has run into a little tussle with firs, though we have our tax clearance for the previous three years (that's another issue), so we moved the funds to our other company account. Now the problem is I've already submitted this one, and the balance is now almost empty. will it spring up any problems during assessing my application?
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by chukyrooy(m): 4:42pm On May 08, 2019
Good Evening Guru's about submitting my documents, I printed my statement today and I just remembered that I made a transfer of 500k into the account from my other account, although when I remembered I quickly withdrew /transfered the 500k back over the next 2 days. I submitted my own account just to show my salary inflow. My question is since I'm using my family's company (I'm a director) as the sponsor and submitting the company account statement, do I need to still explain the deposit in my account?

Well, I don't think 5weeks before intended date is too early, might be just me though. Won't you still pay 42k for the other day too? Let the gurus put mouth as I be JJC for this journey too

The other date is free self service appointment. Wanted to travel in July but the difference in flight tickets is over a 100k, so I'll rather go in June and come back early July.
Travel / Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by chukyrooy(m): 6:53pm On May 02, 2019
Hunnybee:
Book an ordinary appointment for any available date, print your appointment confirmation email then go in tomorrow or any suitable day with your 42k in your account and tell the security at the gate you want to opt for walk in. If you're doing assisted, you'll pay extra 10k.

Thanks for the suggestion, but what's your opinion though, is 4 days earlier appointment worth 52k? Because I'll be coming fr Port Harcourt. Or do you think applying 5 weeks before the intended travel date is tricky?

Please leave no stone unturned! Your little mistake might be seen as an oversight if you are lucky enough but if you are not, it could be used as a reason for denial. I made mistakes on two different applications during mine and I had to cancel the appointments and I was refunded exactly one month later. I did fresh application while I was cancelling the other applications with mistakes. Refu ds and decision came out the same week and it was all positive. I will advise u to cancel the appointment and wait for refund , u can also start a fresh application at the same time. Then u wont be thinking of your little mistake while waiting on decision. Best of luck.

Thank you Infiosa,

I called the UKVI office in London and spoke with their staff, and he specifically pleaded that i cancel and re apply, he said i might get the visa but the mistake might be repeated on the visa page which might in turn affect me at a later date, or on arrival in the UK. so I have cancelled and reapplied again but got a later date for submission. which is like 5 weeks to my intended travel date.

Thanks a lot.

Thank you for your prompt response, I'm attending my sister's graduation and any more date change might affect what I want to go for. I'm thinking of including it in the cover letter. It was supposed to be chukwudi but I mistakenly put chuwkudi. Do you think it might fly especially as it's my 5th or more renewal.

Good Day Everybody,

Please would be renewing my uk visa soon with a mid June intended date of travel. This would be my fifth renewal but would like to ask some questions, because each application must be treated carefully.

1. I would like to print a 4 months statement(just to show my salary) as opposed to 6 months, because of certain deposits prior, would it fly? I can sponsor myself as i have over 1m in the account and I am not spending up to 2 months of my disposable income. However, I am a director of the family business and that is the account I always use as the sponsors account, i would be printing 6 months of that one. Hope it is okay.

2. I heard that TB test should be included, pls how does the TB test work, can i get it from any hospital or only government approved.

All Ye know it all nairalanders, people just sit behind their phones and type rubbish, attacking the dead and defending what is wrong. Pls remember to also blame the police force for doing the wrong thing too.

The sad thing is that she's gone and nothing can replace that, but this will serve as a deterrent to others from repeating the same thing.

Crime / Re: How Corper Linda Nkechi Igwetu Died After Police Shot Her - She Was Treated by chukyrooy(m): 3:06pm On Jul 05, 2018
what a very insensitive statement to make.

We have so degenerated so low to accepting careless policing, that we now blame the dead for not stopping at a police checkpoint.

I pray that you never fall into such situation. Smh

I weep for this country.

Greatzeus:

What's she doing outside by 3am In a country where we keep seeing how Insecured human lives are. It's either her parents failed woefully or she didn't take their teachings serious. Either way,she reaped what she sowed.
What partying or celebration are you doing, that you can't do between 7am to 12 midnight
To crown it all,she was stopped at checkpoint, she refused to stop. As a police officer on the road by 3am,a person drives by refusing to stop, you take them for thieves or kidnappers. I could have blame the police if it was during the day, since it's in the middle of the night,I don't blame him at all.

Most cars, nowadays, come with factory fitted tinted permit so it's not like anyone has an ulterior motive for having tinted glass.

I did mine in PH on the 9 th of Feb, though we weren't asked to drop something outrightly, it was done in another manner.
After applying online, we got to Moscow road with our print out and they said we have to write a letter and make copies of some ofnour documents.
The letter of course has to be typed and signed. Ofcourse they offered to "help" us type the letter with a small something.
We paid 2k for the printing of the letters, it was later on when we were about to do the biometrics that I overheard one of them saying, no, just dump d letters wherr the others are there. Its our own inhouse thing that we added to the whole process.

Pls I did mine about the same time. Mine is still awaiting approval, wanted to know if you have gotten yours?

It's a great milestone in our Aviation Industry.

N149,000 Lagos to London is a good, but I doubt if the elites will fly Medview due to the "Nigerian factor"

Will try it IF they're operating with a new Airbus or Boeing. 6hours on air is no joke.

Congratulations to Medview.

Thanks...might go for it then.

Okay thank you so much. I'll get the letter ready.

We have schooled people here on how to Fill the "Income & Expenditure". I am afraid your cousin is wrong and with your own experience over the years you should know better.

Who is providing the accommodation?

Staying at my uncles. Been staying there over the years.

Can I make the correction in the cover note or should I just leave it the way it is. ?

thanks @ FrontPageLawyer and @Justwise for the previous advice.

I have gotten my documents ready as advised. i just have a little issue. i filled out my form and tried paying several times and it wasnt successful so i turned to my cousin who is in the travel business to help me go through it and pay also.

i just noticed when i was about to print the application that he made some changes though he assured me of them i will just like to be sure to avoid making any mistake;
NB: this is for the renewal of my second five year visa that is to expire next month and also it is a family holiday hence the high cost.

WHAT IS THE COST TO YOU PERSONALLY OF YOUR TRIP IN GBP(£)? 1500GBP

THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU HAVE FOR THIS TRIP N1000000

THE COST OF THE AEROPLANE, BOAT OR TRAIN TICKETS N180000

THE COST OF YOUR ACCOMMODATION NILL

THE COST OF YOUR LIVING EXPENSES 400GBP

IS SOMEONE OTHER THAN YOU PAYING FOR ALL OR A PART OF YOUR TRIP? YES

PLEASE SELECT WHAT THE RELATIONSHIP IS OF THE PERSON WHO IS CONTRIBUTING TO THE PAYMENT FOR YOUR TRIP? FATHER

HOW MUCH WILL THEY BE PAYING TOWARDS YOUR TRIP (IN GBP £)? 2000

here is the problem;

1. i feel the first question should have been 0 or Nill since my dad is the one sponsoring the trip or the most of it. if this is wrong can i use a cover note explaining the mistake?

Thank You everybody for doing such a nice job here.

1. Like FrontPageLawyer pointed out you need to submit your ID but letter from your account dept is not needed.

2. You have to submit your salary account and explain any irregularities

3. No its not a problem

Thank you @justwise

Let me quickly say something from my general knowledge before Justwise comes in. Your account is inconsequential in this application since you have a sponsor (Your Father) but having said that you MUST submit your own salary/personal statement of account as an adult even though its closing balance is N0.

You shouldn't be too bothered about the irregularities in your account since you're not the sponsor and from my understanding you have a good job and your salary looks great. You just have to explain to the ECO reasons for the irregular monthly salary payments in your account which shouldn't pose danger.

Your job is your ties in your own case because apparently you're single and it is only from your salary account and pay slip the ECO will trace your monthly salary and tax deductions.

You will need the following:

Employment/Appointment Letter
Leave letter
Posting letter
ID card
Pay Slip showing your tax deduction
Salary Account
Sponsor's statement of account

Remain Blessed.

Thanks @FrontPageLawyer how many months Should the payslip and Salary Account ststement be? 3 months or 6?
