Guys please help me before I fall into depression. My visa application was rejected within one week of interview. The DHL Man delivered my original documents today. In the letter of rejection which is in German, this is what I was able to translate;

"Due to your information provided on application, there are doubts in your case about the stated purpose of travel. In doing so, you were unable to plausibly demonstrate Thre's intentions to study. The discretion could not be exercised in your favor. The application must therefore be rejected. The remaining grant requirements were not final"

I don't really know how to proceed. Guys please help me. I have spent over 5 million on this process blocked account inclusive. Most times when I came to Lagos for the processes like Ielts, other exams and Interview, I was leaning lodging in hotels coz I have nobody in Lagos. The transportation was crippling too. Please guys I really needed this. Am depressed. This course would have given my life and career the needed career trajectory.

Meanwhile, this reason for rejection seems to be leaning towards your intentions to study. You probably did not convince your vo about your willingness to further study.

But I'd still like to know how these 2courses and how you convinced the vo about it

Pls hus lets not just conclude its because of the course difference......i for one i did engineering course....b4 am going for health course nw......though its science.....currently i no about three person going to DIT who has been rejected and has all appeal and from the way things are going they will get their Am soon........nobody here works at the embassy and can really b sure of the reason y they do reject people....we only assume most of time.......so pls if we can help them let do so and stop all the many question......i mean no harm nor insult my people......as for the guy in question Pm let me c what i can do.....

Funny you. If they the people you know could not decode the reason for the reject and tackle it, how then could they have appealed. How is it now so possible for you to say they could get AM soon. So so funny you

Thanks for your response, but am actually surprised, if I didn't meet up with the school requirements, why did they offer me the admission in the first place.

Those kind of admissions comes with a condition. Probably to get a certain certificate within a particular time frame. Just check to be sure

On the 4th week of my interview I received a mail that they are currently working on my visa application and I should submit a confirmation of blocked account and proof of English C1 and that's where the issue started, I got a English proficiency letter from my school and sent it alongside blocking confirmation and I got another mail that they need a certificate like TOEFL. First of all, am not going for an English taught course, my course its entirely taught in German, I sent them a mail too to reiterate this as well. Sincerely I don't want to write TOEFL cos of the money involved and the extra weeks I v to wait for result and then of course am not sure I would be attain C1. I was advised to do an English online test Efset, and I passed well and I have submitted. I still dont lnow whether they will accept it or not. Pls you all advise me, anyone got this experience, what did you do?

If the embassy is asking of this, it means that is what your school requires. Go through your course requirements properly. It may be there and you did not know. Meanwhile if that is what embassy asked for, go and do it before they will start ignoring your mails amd dump your file aside for not doing the needful.

The book processing is highly confusing......yes it was started that u av to meet up with one of the requirements before u go for A. But, still yet scholarship is a requirement to complete and submit the portal page of category A. Meaning that u fulfil one of the requirements and still have scholarship. I will suggest that those people that suddenly change to A yesterday and av not gotten date should quickly cancel and we wait till like tomorrow Wen we av a verdict before we go the right category. Lots of people haven't experienced this, so we might not know the best thing to say to you. But I'm really feeling your pain and could not possibly explain what your delay might be.
Recently in the course of my pursuit too, I've gotten to meet lots of people in my school and city where I'm going to. I've asked lots of possible questions as to why a particular thing I have faced during this journey could be. I've asked to know if it's just peculiar to me or if lots of people in my city has experienced same. Sometimes it just helps to get the right facts.
Ask about your documents, about your answers during interview, what you filled in. Ask about your BA or SL. Just ask as much as is possible specific questions. Sometimes you might not get anything from them, but you just naturally get soothed.
Also I know it's possible nothing seriously is wrong. I really hope it's so, and I pray you get your AM soon. I also hope your school is kind enough to give you an extension

I don't know, my CGPA is 1.5 German scale. So I can't say for sure but it should help in some schools

The course u went for, is it in direct correlation to ur Bsc?.. If yes what if u have been working out of ur line of study for sometime n decide to go back like after some years, will you be granted visa to study or u have to get admission in line with ur current area of work? Pls gurus help

Both of these illustrations is possible. I got 3 admissions this summer, well 4 if you add the one that had a conditional admission. 2 I got with my job experience which is slightly different from my what I studied( not that my studies and grade in school wasn't looked at oo) but I tried to lay more emphasis on the job in my CV and my motivational letter. The other 2 I got purely based on my first degree.
Infact when I went for interview at the embassy, I had to lay more emphasis on my job experience because the admission letter I used was one that had nothing to do with my studies.

Interview date : 20th February 2019
