You can try doing so and see if it is possible.
Visit this link https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/passport/checkPassportStatus and enter your details. If it is possible, it should present you with the option to change the payment method.

I intend applying online for mine.. but I have issues with the required documents.. I have my local government of origin. but j don't have the original copy of my Birth cert. I only have a scanner copy of my declaration of age.

do you think they will accept this? I heard if you go through someone they can do another birth certificate for you.. but since I'm going to apply online I'm just curious to know if I can do an original declaration of age there if they don't accept the scanned one I have.

You get that after paying online. It'll appear in the page after payment.

Thank @Chygoz3, funny thing is the application is not as tedious as I think, its straight forward. whatever documents that will need to be uploaded will be taken to their office I presume as I just completed an application for my daughter just now.

Yes the application is pretty straightforward. Just take the required documents to their office and proceed to the servicom desk to direct you on what to do.

@Chygoz3 thanks for the other time. it take an approximate of two weeks for you to get the renewed passport, do you have an idea how long it will take for a new one? I tried the @nigimmiration but my enquiries have not been answered since yesterday

I believe the time frame remains the same for both new and renewals.
About your inquiry to the twitter handle, you can send a reminder to them today. They normally reply promptly.

Officially a passport should be out 72 hours after capturing. However the people at the passport office may delay it because you did not follow the official route. In such cases, always let them know via twitter and the erring office would be called to order.

Yes everything can be done online. For the certificate of origin, it should be gotten from your local government of origin. That was where mine was gotten from many years ago.

According to what was shown in the image posted, the penalty for participating in partisan politics is 3 months allowance forfeiture.
Davido is rich enough not to care about it.
So unless stricter penalties for breaking such a rule is introduced, oga park well.

I wouldn't say so. There's not that much difference between fresh application and renewal.

So I asked for the status of my application via the twitter handle and I got a call that it was ready and I should go and collect it tomorrow.

The official price is N15,000. Address verification is N2,000. Service charge amounts to N800.
The total was N17,800. No I did not have to pay a dime at the office.
