I wasn't told when to come for it though but I'll asked for updates on it via the twitter handle after about a week.

Update:
So I asked for the status of my application via the twitter handle and I got a call that it was ready and I should go and collect it tomorrow.

Hi People, I got married very recently, my wife renewed her passport a month to the wedding. Of course, she currently has her father's name as her surname on the passport. Question is, can she still do stuffs with the passport? She has not done change of name, and we'd like to travel very soon. We plan to do change of name later.

I believe so. If she hasn't changed her name, then the passport remains valid.

Your passport photo along with your biometrics will be captured there so going with a passport photograph wouldn't be of much help.

Yes they do. I follow complaints which are submitted and they are resolved. For this case, knowing the name of the official that asked for payment of that amount would help.

Official price is 17800. I just paid online yesterday and will be going for capturing next week.

when i wanted to buy the sim,the guy said the wawu promo is only for new sims ooo, so if u finish it u go back to the normal 1k-2gb plan or 17k for unlimited , hence the abuse , in this country everybody be criminal. Na to find ntel pray say wawu still dey on.

I've been on Wawu since April and I just renewed my plan today. From what was being advertised when i bought the sim, the Wawu promo is valid for one year after the purchase of the SIM.

I applied for and made payment for passport renewal online yesterday. Capturing is scheduled for the 11th.
I'll keep the thread updated.

You can check your balance using the mobile app late at night and early hours of the day.
Wawu plans are still up for those existing subscribers. I subscribed to the 3k plan which gives 48Gb just this morning.
All I had to do was top up my number via Quickteller and then dropped them a message via Facebook and the plan was activated.

Actually the cost of doing it online isn't more than 18,000 naira. The cost of doing at the office depends on the officer you meet and the office you go to. It may cost as much as 40,000 naira for some people. These people then use your data, do the online registration and pocket the rest.

Not yet. Was planning to do so next month, which is now just a day away. Will let the thread know how it goes.

I normally subscribe before the due date but my data didn't roll over for my past 2 subscriptions.

No i did not. I just pointed out what i had observed over my last 2 subscriptions.

It doesn't seem like Wawu data is rolled over to a new subscription.

I use ntel and what i do is that i recharge and subscribe like a week before my data is due to expire.
So luckily i've not fallen into a situation where I'm out of bundle and their website is down or having issues.

I'll be renewing my expired passport soon and I intend applying online. We have to resist the corruption going on. As long as you get captured after paying online, if you have any delays, make the complaint via their twitter handle @nigimmigration and they'll take it up.
If any official tells you otherwise, get the officers name which will be on their uniform and pass it on to the twitter handle.

Can't find much details about this modem online, theoretically it shouldn't support Ntel 4G as it doesn't have support band3/8 which ntel is on, but i'd say you give it a try first.

It supports it. I currently use it.

On two occasions in Lagos, people have tried it on me. Both failed of course. They always try to play on your greed and work in twos. The first one asked for directions to a certain hospital where he wanted to sell a certain expensive device which is used to treat one illness I can't remember. The second one claimed to be from a neighbouring country and had dollars to change and was willing to give me a huge amount of it if I directed him on where to do so. On both occasions, there was a third party who tried to convince me to assist and then share the money amongst ourselves. I just told them I wasn't interested and they should ask someone else and then left them.

If you like switch to 30GHz band. If your ISP is giving you 500kbps speed, you will be restricted to 500kbps. The 2.4GHz band is enough to handle the speeds being given by our mobile networks.
