derecho: Are you saying a person from a developing country can't be richer than a person from a developed country?Or you are suggesting that he must have stolen it? My friend, what are you talking about? Has Jonathan done any other business apart from politics? He himself says he had no shoes; so the over 10 million dollars came from where? His salary? Of course you know no business is allowed for a government worker apart from agriculture. So please tell me where the millions came from? Magic? |

realborn: Only touts jump fence.
Nothing warrants the lawmakers expressing such crass level of irresponsibility.
If the gate is locked, you should return home.
Most politicians are completely useless with no positive intents for the populace that elected them.
Except you earn a wage from these politicians, it will be completely gross to vehemently support any of them as displayed on NL... Ok, but you support the police abi? and that one is not completely gross? Because I didn't hear you condemn the police and the executive arm for stopping lawmakers from doing their job. As far as I'm concerned, if the gate of my house is locked, I will jump the fence and enter inside to do my business. Forget all this nonsense story you're talking here. In case you don't know how Nigeria works, most things that are your right will be denied you until you use force. Lemme see how the executive want to run government without the support of legislature. Can you imagine? Firing tear-gas into the chambers where legislators are sitting? What madness! |

Politics › Re: Nigerian Arm Forces To Be Withdrawn From Borno, Yobe And Adamawa. What To Expect by Chylo(m): 8:35pm On Nov 20, 2014 |
victorels: hmm. This must be the clueless one. What is the difference between the current state of emergency and the president deploying troops to the region. Define state of emergency in context to adamawa, yobe and borno state. If the state of emergency is cancelled and the president deploy military to the states, what mode of operation would they adopt. You just sounds like a motivational speaker that has no other skills but talking. Oga, just say you dont know what state of emergency means for me to explain to you. What it means is just that the federal government can declare martial law in the area under such rule and thus declare a curfew whenever they like and for however they like. The problem with that is, only the law-abiding citizens are affected by such. The terrorist still move about freely and thus have access to kill more people. The fact is, emergency rule or not, if the military are serious, they should be able to defeat these guys quickly. Lemme ask you, what method did JTF adopt in Naija-Delta, when no state of emergency was ever declared? Or the president at dat time, did he have 10 heads? |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Arm Forces To Be Withdrawn From Borno, Yobe And Adamawa. What To Expect by Chylo(m): 7:48pm On Nov 20, 2014 |

People make decision out of bitterness, hatred andfrustration, some clueful people like you will swallowhook and line My friend sharrap there and stop talkin rubbish. Give me the source or link where the reps said the army is illegal. Even if they said it is illegal doesn't make it illegal. The president is commander in chief of the armed forces and can deploy troops where-ever he wants. Except he is out of ideas and doesn't know what to do, then he can resign and gerrout of aso rock. Can you imagine a president hiding under flimsy excuse to shirk his responsibility. |

Take this OP for example giving false news. Who says army must go after S0E? Was there SOE in niger-delta before dose terrorists were destroyed? Was it SOE dat JTF use to fight dem to stand still? SOE or no SOE, d army sld do its job and secure Nigerians instead of president giving lousy excuses. |

ducii: How many managers does a security firm have. maybe 2 at most, maybe another 1 or 2 people who are on the radio who book shifts for people, then you have drivers who take some security guards to site. So where is the growth in the security person who works in a site. The Truth is that you do not have much leeway for growth. For the one of being a door supervisor my brother forget that side e don tay. the best you can become is a head door-man in the club where you are posted, So forget about management in that area. If you go to Liverpool, you will see Jamaicans that have been door men for more than 20 years, they are still door men. There is no growth in that sector. so forget that story. It is like you just landed in the UK? Dude, am talking personal experience with you and you're telling me fairy tales and arguing blindly. Now lemme ask you, if its as horrible as you say, why do people den fight tooth and nail to try to stay in UK after school, even without any good job? I don't believe they are all idiots or irrational people, do you? |

ducii: You are forgetting council tax, road tax if you drive, Electric and gas bills are over £50 a month, water alone is around £20 a month. If you are doing any Menial jobs you need 2 or 3 working 7 days a week to at least survive, and don't forget you don't get promoted. If you are a security guard and you have been in a company for 5 years, the day you are caught sleeping and you are fired, that is it for you. no compensation no retirement benefit. You are quite ignorant in this respect. Even cleaners are paid by experience. The more you work, the higher your wage rate. Also, "bouncers" who are officially "door supervisors" are licensed and have a union so they cannot be dealt with anyhow. I know because I did door supervision training for the London olympics and those guys are paid extremely well in case you don't know (also progressive by experience). If they eventually become managers in a company like G4S, they will be earning more than many professors in Nigeria. The problem is some enlightened people have enjoyed the good life abroad but dont want others to have a taste too, that why they keep decieving people that no money is here. |

AZeD1: Dude I lived in the UK and I know what I'm talking about. You are making the mistake of converting to Naira forgetting that those people don't pay bills in Naira. Well, I'm livin in Uk now, so I should know better. Yes they don't pay bills in naira, but they are reasonably comfortable as opposed to living in the slums in Nigeria. Some of them can even afford luxuries, like certain high-end electronics and holidays. What I'm saying is, even people on welfare lead an ok life, not to talk of workers. Yes they may not be rich, but they are far better off than hustling in Naija. I see them using Iphones na, how cleaner for naija wan use Iphone? You mah reason am. Even me sef, I nor fit commot moni buy iphone, not cos i cant afford it, but cos of priorities; so for them to buy it they r comfortable to an extent. Another point, I knw one cleaner personally, dat goes to the same church as me and we go shopping on Sunday together, I know how he fills his basket. SO there is NO comparison at all with NIgeria. |

For a party that claims to be revolutionary and progressive the only thing I ever here from them is Jonathan this, Jonathan that... We are 2 and a half months away from elections and I have no idea what this party and her presidential candidates stand for.
I mean what is their opinion on the local content policy in the oil and gas sector? Do they think it should be implemented in other sectors of the economy?
what is their stance on the PIB Bill? (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
What do they think about the governments auto policy and its implementation?
what do they think about Jonathans agricultural agenda?
Do they think Nigeria is practicing true federalism? Do they think improvements can be made in its implementation?
What steps are they going to take to curb corruption?
What is the their stance on Nigeria's decision to refuse to sign the EU EPA agreement? (VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!!)
Do they support resource control?
How do they intend to put a stop to Boko harams activities and bring peace to the North? (VERY VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
How do they intend to solve our power problem?
Do they agree with Jonathan's privatization of PHCN?
What do they think of the federal governments plans to privatize the airports?
How do they plan to diversify the economy?
Are they pro big government or small government?
Do they agree with the federal governments plans to privatize various sectors of the economy?
What do they think about the current state of Nigeria's foreign policy?
How do they intend to put a stop to Gas pipeline Vandalism in the country? (VERY IMPORTANT!!!)
What is their thoughts on the Chinese and their growing footprint in Nigeria?
Do they support the federal governments decision to give so many contracts worth billions of dollars to the CHINESE?
They are still more questions the opposition need to answer! Cc: DAVITOGREAT Am sure you have never taken time out to read APC's manifesto. Because it answers all your questions and many more. Here it is: http://www.allprogressivescongress.org/manifesto/ |

Currently, the citizens of the US are smiling to the bank as a result of the fall in oil price round the world. The petroleum products are getting cheaper everyday in the US; on the contrary, Petrol still sells for N97. This goes to imply that the finished petroleum products are mostly imported.
My question are, will be the effect of the naira plunge on the petroleum products internally(inside Nigeria)? Will the price of petroleum products go up? My chief, that one na true o. But the only thing that should happen is that the money Govt. pays for subsidy suppose to drop drastically, not all those trillion trillion we have been hearing. The pump price itself however, will not reduce until oil price gets so low that Nigerians themselves agitate to have deregulation. |

(quick calculation for you: UK minimum wage = £6.50 per hour (i.e approx N1,770 per hour), lets say you work only 6 hours everyday, by the end of the month, you would have made above N300,000), now minimum wage is for the least kind of worker. SO do the maths yourself. |
