wadetaw202:He was quoting lyrics from a Kenny Rogers song. He is correct. |
Becoted001:Have a look at Microeconomic Theory by Mas-Colell and Intermediate Microeconomics by Hal Varian. These are the standard texts at the masters level too. |
I hereby resurrect this thread. You shall live and die no more. |
Wow, nice piece once again by Pius. Imagine, even common website is a problem. Nigeria has many issues, but lack of money is not the most important one. Lack of ideas is worse. |
Lol. What about now? Still too early? Similarities abound between the Jonathan disaster and the Buhari wahal a. |
The president CANNOT constitutionally fire the governor of the central bank until his tenure lapses. Even GEJ could not sack Sanusi, but tried suspending him for the deputy governor to run the office until his tenure officially expired. And even that action was frowned upon by the international community. Yaradua wanted Soludo out, but had to wait till lapse of tenure to appoint Sanusi. The reason for this is to create a separation and independence been fiscal policy set by government, and monetary policy set by the central bank. |

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called an emergency meeting with his foreign minister and all the heads of Russia's security services. Hours after the meeting, Russian-backed rebel forces in Ukraine are building up to "full combat readiness". Is war coming? Shooting any ambassador on foreign soil is almost as good as a declaration of war; how much more a nuclear power like Russia. Putin would not let this water pass under no friggin' bridge |
Simkreative:Show me the link please! If you mean this: http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/185661-kano-sharia-court-sentences-9-to-death-for-blasphemy.html You must see that those people who were sentenced are muslims not Christians. As a matter of fact, to escape sharia law, all a person has to do is deny Islam and say he no longer believes in Allah. But for muslims, doing that might be worse than than death. Please be informed. |
alBHAGDADI:By the constitution, Christians CANNOT be tried under sharia law. Let me know if you have heard of such a case. |
Billiondoe:How much? |
NowIKnow:Pls PM me your email address. |
veekid:I dont want to call you a big fool. Is your wife a car? |
planetx:Yeah, that was my point. But I know for a fact that there are emergency ambulances in Lagos particularly. Lack of education is very dangerous to any group of people. |
That man may not have died immediately!!! Nigeria is soo backward. An ambulance should have been called first before anything else, at least to try and save the man's life. The fact that someone is not moving does not mean he is dead. In this particular case, he was pushed into the gutter and probably suffered a concussion and went unconscious. What he needed was first aid and paramedics; and they should not move the body so carelessly until medical help arrives. These are simple things they teach in Primary schools abroad. We have a long way to go. |
Following from this topic on the homepage: https://www.nairaland.com/3427399/four-kidnappers-caught-g.r.a-benin It is obvious that if these guys are found guilty, they would face the death penalty because they committed the offence in Edo State. Other states that have proscribed the death penalty for Kidnapping include: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo. So be very careful because committing kidnapping in any of these 7 states would carry the maximum sentence. There is also a bill before the Senate to make kidnapping carry capital punishment across the entire country. Say No to Kidnapping, Say no to Crime #changebeginswithme http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/senate-okays-death-penalty-kidnappers/ |
jiggaz:Please sir, don't preach this heresy. Its false doctrine to say that if I keep on sinning as a believer, it can only destroy my body but my spirit is saved. That is a lie from the pit of hell and I pray God opens your eyes. On that day, many will say Lord Lord, but he will say I know you not, depart from me you WORKERS OF iniquity. They thought they were still saved because they were casting out devils in Jesus name, but Jesus knew them not. Check who the bible says will end up in the lake of fire in Rev.21:8. One can be claiming "born-again", but committing those sins unconfessed, would lead him to the pit. God knows those who are his. WHo are they? The ones who depart from iniquity. Narrow is the way brother, hope you find it. |
fran6co:Oga, can't u see what is happening? The judges are corrupt and delaying cases till eternity. All corrupt people are charged to court by EFCC, but the judges collect money and spoil it all. Judiciary is our problem in this country. |
Nice remix. A slightly faster beat, though I still prefer the original. If this was freshly recorded, it's sure a sign of good things to come. Majek needs to reinvent himself, and bring reggae to the modern era. Makes me remember the great Sunny Okosun, wish he was still alive. |
What are you people saying sef? They raised over 32 million naira for a "surgery" to save Mayowa's life? Surgery where? Who is performing the surgery and what kind of surgery is it that will save stage 4 terminal ovarian cancer? Please this was pure scam right from the start. If they wanted money to make her comfortable until death, they should have said so, instead of misrepresenting the facts. For the family to convince us otherwise, they should show us the original doctor's report (not the fake one), and also the letter from the US hospital inviting her to come for surgery and the type of surgery she was scheduled for. They should show us these documents. I don't know how people can be so wicked to defraud Nigerians of their hard-earned money, especially in these hard times. |
Businesses are many naa. Game center, Business/Typing/Photocopying center, Selling of Handouts and Past Questions, Tutorial services, Selling clothes and shoes (especially close to female hostels), etc etc, think and grow rich. |
So if they arrest the man and sack him, hope you will take over his responsibilities? |
Love Machine:Lol, the problem is that you don't see how illegal refining can affect your life, but you understand that of illegal drugs. These so called "refineries" only boil crude in drum and condense the kerosene+petrol+diesel gas mixture to sell. They are criminals and they don't care about the end-user of the product. Think about it, if they are doing the proper thing, why don't they apply for refining license? Quack doctors kill, quack mechanics destroy, quack engineers cause building collapse, so also quack refiners cause damage. |
Love Machine:Do you like the way we keep importing drugs? Why not give license to illegal drug makers to supply us sufficient quantity of panadol. Can you see how your argument sounds? Yes, we are in a bad situation of importation, but the solution is not to encourage illegal activities. If they know what they are doing, they should apply for legal license and if they qualify, then they can build their refinery. I have a friend burnt from kerosene stove explosion because of improper kerosene product. I pray you never fall victim. |
Love Machine:Why not give armed robbers uniform and convert them to police officers? ![]() |
movicy:Hi, I did my first degree in agric econs too before an msc in development econs, pure econs and den phd in pure econs. So it is very possible. Just go for your passion. |
The truth is that illegal refineries are detrimental to the nation at large. The argument of some people here is like "why close down illegal drug manufacturers?" Why not give them license to produce the drugs since we are still importing drugs? That is ignorance talking. It will kill a lot of people because it is not standardized. They lack the education and training to do it properly. They steal the raw resources they use. They produce sub-standard products. Mining and refining are two different things. Illegal mining takes resources and ingenuity. I haven't seen a news where illegal drilling of oil in your backyard has been penalized (I may be wrong). Because if you have the know-how to extract oil from the ground, you deserve at least some commendation; same as mining of raw minerals. Perhaps an oil co could hire you. These "refineries" though are nothing more than boiling stolen crude in drums and condensing the kerosene+petrol+diesel gas mixture to sell. No wonder so many stories of exploding cooking stove and engines. |
VocalWalls:Which point? Yaradua left for Saudi Arabia since 2009, 2009 till 2016 is how many years? |
Oga, wetin happen? Why you nor dey post again? |
hok4u:Hi bro, please can you link me with an online source for the information that he worked with the world bank, or the job he did there? Thanks. His wikipedia page did not mention that. Please its urgent, i need it for research purposes. |
Any answers for private unis? |
mrvitalis:Yeah, I have cash to invest. Let's hear your proposal. |
