greatopec:That's was pure negligence on the part of the agency. There were careless! But the guy should have known that there are some information can kill. It would have been better for him to steal what he can, and leave. Than all these drama. That would have put the owners of the Money on their toes to re-gig their security. Let's no forget that safe houses get bursted sometimes in advance world. So this is not an isolated case. The only problem here is that the burst came from within the country, not from external aggressors. |
poseidon12:Dear poseidon12, That was a very wrong assertion, When you say NIA are not not doing any work, its like discrediting the DMI as well. We face serious threats everyday from external aggressors. There are people who wants to hijack this nation and install puppets to further their interest. Because you don't get to read it in the dailies, does not mean it does not happen. Let's not discredit those who labour to keep us safe, just because we have a few that are corrupt. NIA, is one agency that does not play with the security of this our dear nation. they seek out the best brains from the university. Take them off the employment market, and turn those lizards into wild crocodiles. The last US election open serious discussions on national security world over. Russia manipulated their system and they knew it. Now put Nigeria in such situation. Because Nigeria have not been caught in the proxy war going around in the Arab Nations, Morroco and Western Sahara, China and Taiwan Autonomy battle means that there are some secret hand at work. Do me a favour everybody! Before logging off today. Sit back and recite the National Pledge of Nigeria. "I pledge to Nigeria My Country..........." Ponder over it, then you will appreciate what these guys are doing. |
4dor:Yea, that's very correct, my problem is the Nigeria factor. Even in advanced systems covers get blown and good agents, sometimes go rogue. Believe me, the wife having access to such volatile information speaks volume. Can you imagine this lady being kidnapped by rival intelligence units of hostile nations? She can be used as a weapon against the Nigerian state. There are ways to handle these issues. Its not by unwarranted media hype, and social media frenzy. The NSA can query this DG, and sanction him accordingly, within the premise of their oath of engagement. Anytime I read about this, I shed tears. Men have given their life for the security of this country. Others have sacrificed their limbs and all. Wives have been widowed and kids fatherless. That guy shouting his 5% should just shut up already. "The Bell of Liberty is been watered, by the blood of Hero and villain alike" Let that his 5% be his contribution the the national security. Warning! For those who don't understand my language, stay of my mention please. |
That guy, the whistle blower is already in a deep.shit. There are people you don't rat on, NIA is one of the strongest intelligence unit in Nigeria. And for the guy to sell them off like that because of the 5% whatever, spell the death knell for him. Believe it or not, the guy will be neutralised fatally, whether he gets the money or not. And for those who wear online patriotism like a Chelsea jersey that will jump in to call me corrupt. CIA have their own stash of cash in every part of the world, which they need for their covert operations. They don't need senate approval when they need to do something to save the country from outside threat. All these media celebrated inter-agency rivalry, is going to put this our beloved nation into the hands of external aggressors. look at Iran, China, and even USA are always waiting on the wings to cause us some trouble. Because we live in peace does not mean that the world is peaceful. That whistle blower of a guy did not do what he did out of patriotism. He did it for his own gain. -_----------------------- I am not here to defend the DG NIA or his wife, not at all. And from the little I know about these people, their life is all about secrets. Some might argue why hide it in a residential apartment, same thing goes for why did Osama Bin Laden hide near a military facility in Pakistan? |
rozay12345:But Dangote does not engage in competitive businesses, he thrieves in monopoly. If he wins the bid, in three years other telcos, would have been frustrated out of business. That will be when the difference would be clear. |
1kingwriter:you are very correct. N and M don't share same word, cos we pronounce N while closing our mouth, and M supercedes it. For those that claim dialects, we don't write in dialects when we write Igbo. Its Uto Asusu Igbo we write. |
My question, What is this guys political value to the administration? Is He that expendable? Have He outlived His usefulness? Or was He placed on the "Cross" to save another? Since the news of this Maina guy started flying around in the news, it got many questions popping in my head. Though, I am not a fan of Corruption, but I am thrilled the way corrupt practices, and corrupt individuals are being elevated to Hero status in this country. Its so disheartening and sad, to say the least. And having the image makers of this present adminstration, sing and chorus how swift the Chief Executive of the Country decreed the reversal of such shameful reinstatement is at most callous. This CHANGE, through its instrumentality of stupidity, Half-baked lies, and outright insincerity in their over-hyped fight against corruption, have proven to be worse than the CHANGED. For the EFCC, not to be aware of a Two Million USD House in Abuja is most laughable, but they can quickly and easily place their "Monitoring Spirit" on my Savings account if it receives a single deposit of more than Five Million Naira. Now we have a government that uses Breaking News as a Decoy! Knowing that no News will remain a breaking News after 72 Hours. They have successfully used it to control and contain any negative reaction from the populace. From the above, I've done little or nothing to answer the questions above. It was deliberate. I wish anybody who know the workings of this Government can help in the answers. It beats my imagination as to the why! All of a sudden His secret reinstatement, duly posting of his personal security, and His lodgement in the safehouse of one of the "initials", become a public knowledge. I hope nobody will accuse me of hate speech. Meanwhile, my Garri is soaked. Anyone with Groundnut should help me, Pleassssse. |

@op, I don't know how correct your information about how States derive there names are, but I can authoritatively fault that of Kebbi state! Kebbi was derived from the name Kabbe or Bakabbe(singular) or kabawa (plural). This is the indigenous name of the two major Emirates out of the four that make up Kebbi State. Argungu and Gwandu Emirates. They are known as the Kabawas or the the Owners of Fishes. The other two Emirates are Yauri and Zuru. Though they are not Kabawas. It might also interest you to know that both Argungu and Gwandu Emirates extends beyond the borders of Nigeria, far into Karakara, and Dosso in Republic of Niger. Kebbi indigines saw the kabawas from Niger Republic as one of there own, that is why you hear about somebody being a commissioner in Nigeria and later returning to Niger to take another political position. Bottomline, Kebbi was derived from kabawa and not from your Kaaba. Thank you. |
In Africa, according to tradition, a Child birth is not announced until the placenta comes out. Therefore, their Birthday should be celebrated after the process of childbirth. This process starts from the breaking of the anabolic fluid, till the successful extraction of the placenta. When a newborn exits the birth canal, does not mean that the process is complete. If the first of the multiples is delivered, the process is still ongoing and must be completed. Even in Singleton, no body will rush to register a delivery, without extracting left out fluids, and weighing the newborn. And this process takes few minutes. My take is that both the twins will have Jan 1st as their birthday. Yes, they are age mate! |

Don't actually know this woman and the hype about her "marital mishap", but the way she address the issue have earned her my respect. Sometimes we should at least not try to pull a house down, because we are moving out of it. |
jojothaiv:Inside Birinin Kebbi. GRA NEPA |
jojothaiv:My brother Its not only Kalgo. Come to Ambursa, Makira, Kaingiwa, In fact all those Houses with green roof are a waste of government resources. |
The reason He mentioned Ojukwu was because He ascribed the struggle to individuals. First It was Ojukwu. Later Uwazuruike, and Now KANU. Sometimes we have to give this guy a break, he have a lot of Igbos in his government who are ill-advising him on the true picture on the ground. If you have someone from a particular place where there is this constant agitation and their kits in your cabinet keep telling you that its KANU and a few jobless youths that are making the noise, believe me he'd believe that. If they had told him half the truth. PMB might not like Igbos, I am not saying he does, but he needs a complete Nigeria, for him to be a Nigerian president. If Nigeria Finally disintegrates as a Nation, He as the current president is the worst loser. Sometimes, when we blame an enemy for burning down our house, let us not forget to blame the friend that opens the gate for him. #Onochie #Ngige #Onu #Okorocha #Kalu #southeastgovernors |
It all started like this, until around 2008 when Yusuf Mohammed was killed in cold blood while in police custody.(Though he was a criminal, but killing him in custody was unjustified) Nine years after, we are still trying to stop that little spark by some overzealous individuals in the Police force. A people should learn from history, rather to allow history teach them in a brutal way. Shooting at protesting civilians has become a norm. When these individuals who are been shot at resorts to self help. I wonder what the shooters and their cheerers are going to do? |
There are only three people that you can never convince with naked reality. 1. A lady in love. Your noble advice is out of jealousy. 2. A young man who just made his first million. Your advice out of hatred. (In fact you are an enemy of progress) 3. A Buhari Supporter. Don't even try to point out the fact ..... to them you are a WAILER! a corrupt PDP person |
BigBlackCat:The old man made a lot of sense to me, I don't know if he was saying these things to be heard or if he meant them. Correcting the mistakes of Lord Lugard will go a long way to correct the if feeling among the ethnic nations. Sometimes I get confused how east and west became the opposite of the north on the compass. Talking about the creation of states, the military did it to discourage secessionist mentality or the regions. I hope they meant what they are all saying |
When it rains, it pours I hope we get it out quickly from this cage For its meant for birds. Restructure or destruction A bird that flies from the ground unto the anthill Have made just but no progress. I love the way the elites tempts the temper of the populi. Their thoughts our wishes, whether we think it wise or not. But soon, very soon they'd realise that the colour the gall bladder is black. I hope that soon is not too late. |
eezeribe:Hey Do swallow such negativity, and look at the big picture. Come on! Though, I doubt if the real militants do actually benefited from the programme. I see politicians fronting their sons and daughters as militants. Just my opinion though. |
Shoot for the moon, maybe you can land on top of a mountain. Nice Concept. Nice one Briggs. |
I like said in this forum during his arrest, that it was a smokescreen. Some people took it upon themselves to rain abuse on my person, claiming that i celebrate thieves. Why would someone who was accused by the state for treason and economic sabotage, and inciting of national industrial unrest. All of a sudden you release him unconditionally? After assassinating his character as a thief. Because according to the State, he stole something that was kept under his watch for safe keeping. Does it mean, that after six weeks of detention, and investigations, he didn't do what he was accuse of doing? Instead of the government to treat a business dispute as it was, they imported national security language of "treason" and "economic sabotage" only to dehumanise someone who have rescued us at a time we needed a rescuer. Everyday, we talk of attracting foreign investors and their investments, yet from the way we treat our local investors, we are indirectly asking the outsiders to stay away. I wonder why his unconditional release did not make news headline like his arrest! Why Naija, Why?! |
Why is the Truck right handed?
Did this happen in Nigeria? I doubt this post, unless the op should state it in clear terms. |
@OP, thank you for misinforming the forum, I wonder what some of us gain by disseminating fake news. Its not for residential consumers, But for MD customers alone! |
EasternWind:I love the way you forcefully disagree with me with out insults and name calling. You have spoken well. But the question is, why the quit notice? Its a fall out of May 30th. For once the whole Nigeria establishment, saw the unity of purpose in an Igbo man. Even people in the north pretended as if they are not keen to the order, but they actually obeyed it. And for the records, I reside in the core north! Such mass slaughter won't happen again. It happened because we gave them our back, to save our head. Offer an enemy your head, and demand for his, and he will call for a truce. There are things that are we should know as a people. A typical northern don't keep a secret for too long, they also hate to be taking by surprise. And when you surprise them, they lash out at you, hoping for reactions, and if they don't get that, it confuses them the more. I know what I am saying. Soon they will start to sponsor some groups in the East to protest, and plead with them, its a game as always. All they wanted is to know what Igbos plan to do. Forget this internet frenzy about the eviction notice on Igbos, its the same thing as those who watch too much Television. They are the ones who are afraid of Zombie attack. There is fear in the land no doubt. They are afraid of us, same way we are afraid of them. This have moved beyond, a game of checkers, to a chess game, and keeping your card close to your heart, is the best weapon. If Igbos keep moving the way they are moving now, 2019 will fall out well. Maybe if I have the time we will discuss the Northern youths and the 2019 permutations. |
EasternWind:What made you think so, bros? Our fathers returned home to defend the motherland, and they took the opportunity to destroy our land, rape our women and starve our children. Don't take a fight to your house, even if u survived, your house might get burned. Do you think the North and the West will let the Igbos go in peace? These guys a testing the water, they knows what they are doing. Thank God, Igbos have played it out with maturity, by talking less, and putting their enemies in confusion. The greatest fear of the Nigerian establishment is the unity of an Igbo man. I don't know how KANU did it, but he was able to achieve it. People refer to Biafra today as Biafra, because Obasanjo said that the agitators are fraudsters, why then is it that Obasanjo becomes part of the conveners of Biafra at 50 in Abuja? Does it mean that the Biafra issue is no longer a scam? Believe me, these guys have information that an ordinary e-rat don't know. They try to discredit the movement, but fail. Now they resort to threat. These guys are military experts, they know they can achieve their point by asking us to return home, so they can quell the agitation in one location. Take it or leave it, the Nigeria establishment will never allow the Igbos go in peace. They are planning another Police action, and if we are scattered as we are, then they will find it difficult to achieve their aim. I have one question for all of us. Were our Fathers and mothers safe, when they returned home to defend the homeland? |
simplycarro:Forget the Igbos and focus on your people in the north, a typical northerner does not know the difference between Igbos and other tribe, the same way you as a person did not the difference between Gwari, Kanuri, Kataf, and Zaburma person. You refer to them as Hausa, so they see any southern person as Igbo. Keep rejoicing about how the Igbos are going to slaughtered in their numbers in the north come Oct. 1st. Ask south westerners living in Funtua in Katsina State. They will tell you a sad story about what happened when buhari lost the election. The Igbos knows that they are going to be attacked if the election did not go their way, so they were ready. But did a fellow southerner who saw himself as been safe survive it? I live in the north, and am not bothered. As for the properties that Igbos own in the north, you will be surprised that 80% of those properties are bank guarantees. Go and claim them and the banks will sue you for all you worth. Most of you were here shouting that the sit-at-home protest was a failure, now you saw the ripple effect. The best secrets are the unknown secrets. When your wishes become a reality, believe me its going to be scary. Fulani herdsmen always score a jackpot when they attack any village, because they knows the forest better than the owners of such place. Igbos are like Fulanis in your towns and villages. Let's all wait till 1st. October. It might not last long, but the impact will be severe. |
Do they actually want to recall him? Or are they indirectly asking for the crumbs from his "corrupt-dinner-table" I've been around for a while in Nigeria to know that such charade, is a decoy for a brown envelope. Maybe I am wrong in my assumption, maybe they are serious to recall him, then soon, very soon the State Assembly will fly the impeachment kite against Governor, and all these noise about recall will die a natural death. I wish that I am wrong about all this. I wish I am. |

The sun was forced to set at dawn Yet it rises at dusk, shinning fort into the night Like the tree cut down from the stem Yet shoots out dozens of buds from the root They rejoice over your demise, dancing over the grave Like a leviathan you roar! Gone deep into this struggle u have Many have gone, and more are willing to go Yet your name whispered in between breath Sends shivers down the clay-giant's spine I live to live and live with your might Till your love calls back with a smile #Happyherosday |
