They often boasted , how we stopped ibos and dealt with ojuku during the biafra war , how we fought and liberated the niger delta and mid west but the couldn't deliver MKO and their 17 weak generals when it mattered most .

This leads me to what will befall GEJ in 2011 . Over relaince on yorubas will be his downfall.

I only hope this time that the oil wells in the south south will not become abandoned property.

Kettykin let it go. The yorubas will learn from their mistakes. We igbos will learn from our mistakes. This beating of the chest is becoming a bad habit.

jks aside, this is just one insignificant person. the true igbos always, always stick to the truth. smiley. igbos are individualistic, they would not listen to him. wink

i just hope the SS will not deem this as an act of betrayal (i.e the igbos don't care about them). sad

Of course i know we won't listen to him.He knows that as well thats why i dont get his point. What makes me mad is why he would be in the same organization and speak again a statement that was presented to on behalf of the organization. One thing that i can admit that Igbos in general(not specifically) is humility. It's fine when we're amongst ourselves but in nigeria when everything is based on interest and tribalism, it is a dumb and very elementary move.

A country that has different law for each region is not going to work.

I opened up a thread on this already. This is not that boko haram nonsense it is the work of your average fulani herdsmen. They are trying to kill off the Biroms and take their land.

na2day!:

If it is investigated and found to be true that the weapons really came from Iran, the government should break ties with the country ASAP, Iran is a closed country where the government monitors every aspect of life and there is no way a ship laden with weapons will leave Tehran without the knowledge and sanction Of Ahmedinajad!
Iran according to their antecedence have been setting fire to many countries that are pro-America, infact according to the recent leak by wikileak, they played a major role in the bloody sectarian killing that engulfed Iraq in 2006 where tens of thousands died.
Fellow Nigerians don't let us play into the hands of those whose interest is in our destruction  angry

You cannot deem everybody who is not with the US as bad. You should never think that "because the US say they are terrorist and evil then it is true". Don't forget that Nigeria was label the same way until we bowed down like subordinates and accepted what the US told us to. The whole Iran thing might just be propaganda use to support the deployment of US security to the niger delta area. Look how quick the name "IRAN" has whipped up sentiment with you. Don't forget the prediction of 2015, things are planned to the T. The point is who was suppose to be the retriever of the containers.

Fulani herdsmen are still attacking Yorubas in their home states! I only seen OPC in action in Lagos. I might be ignorant of other OPC involvement though. . .  undecided

It has only been 1 year since the Ijaws attacked Lagos. With the Ijaws, there reach can be felt as far as Abuja. I do not think the Ijaws fear anyone. Trust me, we Easterners know the Ijaws. They do not care how big you are.

And yes many Igbos have been keeping weapons. Just ask the Igbos up North. If the Northern hordes try to take our property, we will meet them with AK-47s. . The African weapon of choice.

It's true, I know some grin.

@ bolded  grin grin grin grin.

i also respect the ijaws and i think they respect the yorubas. its reciprocal. cool

while i was in nigeria, i heard an hausa man killed a yoruba man in kwara and opc went there to cause wahala. but as far as they leave the south (especially SW) out of their agenda. then no wahala grin.jk

but i know nothing must happen to GJ, if the north do not want wahala. even if it wasn't them that hurt him, the country will still hold them responsible because of ciroma's comments

Kwara was a dead end for OPC. Kwaras hausa-fulani government had them slaughtered. But as far as the core SW areas the hausas could stand a chance and i think they know it. Yorubas don't respect the ijaws at all. That I know from experience. Like i said earlier the US put up a red alert on nigeria about a couple weeks ago and on top of that Israel cancelled till further notice pilgramage trips from nigeria, these to countries have some type of info that says something is about to go down.

Lets not jump the gun. There no such thing as al qaida.hezbolla is in lebanon. I doubt those rocket launchers even came from Iran. Also, if you are thinking it is for the use of the northerners then think again;the ammunition would have been smuggled through Niger or chad. I doubt the northerners are planning to attack SW with those weapons after OPC dealt with them brutally in the early 2000s.

Let me take a crack at it. Only innocent women and children were killed. The killers attack them at night while asleep. Does not look like a Hausa rat to me but it definitely looks, smells, and sounds like the works of the most cowardly tribe in nigeria, the Fulani camel humpers.

News Oct 26, 2010

By Samuel Oyadongha

Yenagoa—No fever than four persons have been reported killed in Bayelsa State in the wake of renewed pirate attacks.

The tragic attack, described as the third in four weeks after a long lull in reported cases of pirate attacks in the state also left one person seriously injured.

Vanguard learnt that the incident which is now a source of serious concern to travelers in the predominantly riverine state occurred Tuesday between the Akassa-Brass-Yenagoa route in the East senatorial district.

Sources revealed that twenty-four hours earlier, some unidentified gunmen had attacked passenger and cargo boats coming from Sangana, Bekebiri and Kongho communities of Akassa and dispossessed the occupants of their valuables.

Environment Rights Action, Field Coordinator in the state, Mr. Alagoa Morris, said, “Travelers are not only apprehensive of the development, their lives are really in danger and need the protection of the government at all levels.”

The latest passenger boat to be attacked, sources said, was returning from Akassa on the Atlantic fringe to Yenagoa, the state capital, when it came under the pirates attack.
The driver of the ill-fated passenger boat was reportedly shot in the leg while trying to evade the pirates’ ambush.

The deceased persons, it was learnt, were artisans from Yenagoa who had gone to the coastal community to work and were returning to the capital city when the incident occurred.

The pirates on seizing the boat had reportedly dispossessed the occupants of their possession and ordered them and others who had nothing to give to jump into river.

While those with swimming experience swam to safety in the mangrove the artisans it was learnt got drowned.

It was further learnt that only one of the corpses had been recovered and deposited at the FMC.

Contacted the Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Eguavoen Emopae (ASP) confirmed the attack but could not ascertain the casualty figure.

He said the command had commenced investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, the group, Environment Rights Action has called on the relevant authorities to help curb the rising incidence of pirates’ attacks in the creeks and waterways of the state.

ERA’s Field Coordinator in the state, Mr. Alagoa Morris who made the appeal in Yenagoa called for intensification of police patrol of the creeks and waterways to check the activities of these criminals wasting the lives of innocent and law abiding Nigerians.

News Oct 27, 2010

Six persons were confirmed dead and several others injured when unknown assailants attacked Ruhenku, a remote village in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State.

“We have confirmed that six people, all of them women and children, were killed in the attack,” Lt. Col. Kingsley Umoh, spokesman, Special Military Task Force, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Jos on yesterday.

He said the three victims who were injured had been hospita-lised, while many houses were also burnt.

He said: “No arrests have been made. At the moment, we have no idea who the assailants were. The distress call came one hour after the attack. The village is so remote that reaching it is a great challenge.

“There are no deployments in the area by the army, but all the security agencies are already there to prevent any escalation.”

Some of the villagers described the attack as “very shocking,’’ saying that they were taken unawares as they were still in bed when the attackers invaded the village.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Mohammed Lerama, who expressed disgust at the resurgence of violence, confirmed that a team of mobile police officers had been dispatched to the village. Mr Musa Sule, Chairman of Bassa Local Government Area, described the attack as “very horrible”.

He said: “It is sad that the peace loving villagers were attacked while they were asleep. It is devastating, but we hope that the security agencies will get to the root of the matter.”

You see, you are one of africa's numerous problems. If you dont agree with a line of reasoning, you simply say so and say why? Do you have to be insultive about it?
Africans like you hardly read and it was for this reason i use the word "MOST" in capital letters.( Check the first line of my previous post). i know humans like you exist. Why then would i want to name anyone CHYZ (Chizoba) when as per your case it will be an ever present reminder of carelessness. WAKE UP MY GUY!

I was not insultive you just took it the wrong way. And the "MOST" is wrong as well.I didn't overlook that. Even if my name was chizoba, which it is not, don't run to conclusions, it means "God saves", which is a beautiful meaning. We are talking about meaning not people who you don't even know who have that name.WAKE UP MY BROTHER! I guess you would prefer the name Fred, which has no meaning. You writings reflects you true regards to the African race in comparison to external races,i.e. european or arab, which from the looks of it, aint good.
