Tinubu, problem in Nigeria is about you people stealing what belongs to all Nigerians. When, just one man owns half of Lagos state and properties in it, are these not enough to create economic problems? A leader who does not have car mart, yet, have more cars in his procession than a car dealer. I pity the youths that carry's brief cases and fight to kill them themselves for you and other politicians and the adults who under the sun, rain to take a cup rice like the one they call pepe who gives 500n to younger people and 1000n to adults from all he has stolen. The queue to collect insulting the stipend was a sorry sight at GRA Ogudu. The politicians don't have shame and the masses don't have self respect.

From the poor's people salaries of 20 years. The ordinary Nigerians are in for big trouble and years of starvation to follow. Nigerian leaders are wicked and they are vampires.

TravelRe: Why Is The Beautification Of Under Bridges In Lagos Taking So Long? by CioAngels(f): 8:31pm On Apr 27, 2018
They should take their time, even if it takes years. My question to Mr Ambode and Mr Tinubu is my fear about Lagos, is it a deliberate design to destroy Lagos? I don't think there is anywhere in Africa where heavy trucks are parked on the bridges, no bridge in Lagos is speared. Before Ambode and Tinubu will have my time because i know they don't read what is written by ordinary Nigerians. My answer to my question to them is, Yes, there is a big conspiracy to destroy Lagos in the name of they are federal roads. While the managers are only thinking of how to embezzle money some areas are busy breaking the vault to improve their regions. Lagos, our Lagos is collapsing before our very eyes. I wonder who will save her from her imminent collapse?

FamilyRe: Man Calls For Reintroduction Of Ekpo-Nka-Owo Spirit That Punishes Cheating Wives by CioAngels(f): 7:45pm On Apr 27, 2018
Why reintroduction, was it abolished, i thought it is automatic at marriage? Whichever way you look at it, it is wrong both ways because men will destroy their homes as the girlfriend will make sure she destroys the woman at home with lies which will result to hatred by the husband to his wife. To the wives, the resultant effects from their side, is that it destroys the man's progress and in some areas it kills their husband or children, especially their first male child. Some say it is poverty that drives the wives to adultery but i do not agree because most of the poor women are more afraid of the repercussions as against the women that are well cared for. Christianity is another reason some women are neck deep into it because when they are call to confess they are fast to say they are Christian and such they wont confess knowing it will save their husband or child after her confession. I think women should not just because men are doing it. In as much as adultery is bad, men will always be men, we can always plead with them to save their families wellbeing from the vampires outside. My personal opinion please.

Even if Buhari sees them, it will mean nothing to him and he is pleased with the massacres, so, the more people are killed/crying the more happy he is. The house of rep i'm sure will be more dominated by the fulanis so they will sell their conscience.

PoliticsRe: Why I Gave Extra N10billion To National Assembly — Kemi Adeosun by CioAngels(f): 5:33pm On Apr 22, 2018
phyllosilicate:
The Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun, has reacted to a PREMIUM TIMES report detailing how her ministry illegally approved N10 billion for the National Assembly.
The report, published on Friday, indicated that Mrs Adeosun released the billions to the lawmakers despite the N125billion appropriated for the federal legislature in the 2017 fiscal year for recurrent and capital expenditures.
The fund was arbitrarily approved for the lawmakers by the minister in collusion with the Accountant General of the Federation, Ahmed Idris.
Investigations by PREMIUM TIMES also showed that at least 44 of the 82 contractors the leadership of the National Assembly claimed they were owing were not registered on the National Database of Contractors, a database of the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). That means they are not eligible to be awarded federal contracts.
A further check by this newspaper revealed that 17 of the 44 firms were not even registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
In a statement by her media aide, Oluyinka Akintunde, Friday evening, the minister confirmed releasing the fund, but said her action remained legal.
Describing PREMIUM TIMES report as ‘defective,’ Mrs Adeosun claimed that warrants were issued before the billions were moved to the lawmakers.
“The attention of the Honourable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, has been drawn to a smear campaign by an online medium, Premium Times, of “illegally sharing of N10 billion from the national treasury”.
“The Honourable Minister wishes to debunk the entire mischievous and made-up report of the online medium which negates the ethics and professionalism of journalism. The article displays a worrying lack of understanding of Appropriation, Payments and Control, and therefore be disregarded by the public.
“The Minister further wishes to state that warrants are issued in accordance with Appropriation and after due approval by the Cash Plan Committee chaired by the Minister.”

The statement however failed to explain the process of approval for such warrant.
The minister did not also address salient issues such as the release of funds outside the budget and award of contracts to unqualified companies.
Mrs Adeosun did not also explain why she failed to conduct further due diligence by asking for evidence that the contracts were duly awarded before she approved the funds for the lawmakers.
Another explanation the minister failed to make is why her ministry preferred to give N10billion of the N20billion allocated for the payments of federal contractors to the National Assembly which has a budget that covers all its recurrent and capital spendings

EducationRe: University Of Ibadan Ranked Among World’s Best by CioAngels(f): 8:58pm On Apr 21, 2018
daewoorazer:
The university of Ibadan has secured a spot in the top 978 ranked universities in the world.

In the ranking released by the Times Higher Education, Nigeria’s premier university was ranked 801 alongside several others.

UI was also the only Nigerian university to make the list.

Earlier in 2016, the Academic Ranking of World Universities (AWRU) and the Center for World Universities Ranking (CWUR) released a list of the top 500 and 1000 world universities respectively and no Nigerian university was on the list.

CWUR said that Nigerian universities were not considered for the ranking because of lack of quality research.

AWRU, who did not give a reason for Nigeria’s absence, made it clear that the criteria for ranking were the number of alumni and staff publishing journals in Nature and Science, number of alumni and staff winning Nobel prizes and Field medals.

South Africa and Egypt had the highest number of universities on the list from the continent.

63 universities from the United states made it to the top 200 while 32 from the United Kingdom also made the cut.

The United States had 63 universities among the hundreds of schools considered.

BusinessRe: Donald Trump Set To Tackle Nigeria And Other OPEC Countries by CioAngels(f): 8:50pm On Apr 21, 2018
Opinionated:
United States President, Donald Trump has set his sights on a new opponent- the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) which Nigeria is a member of.

Oil price surged to its highest level in three-and-a-half years following OPEC major player, Saudi Arabia’s expression of its desire to see oil price reach $80 per barrel and plans to list part of its huge national oil company, Saudi Aramco. It is not yet clear where the IPO for the company will hold. There was also news of a drop in US stockpiles of oil indicating increased demand helping to push prices up.

The price of oil surged to $74.74 per barrel for London Brent and $69.56 for New York crude on Thursday.

President Trump is not pleased with this and took to Twitter on Friday tweeting:

“Looks like OPEC is at it again. With record amounts of Oil all over the place, including the fully loaded ships at sea, Oil prices are artificially Very High! No good and will not be accepted!”

It is unclear what Trump plans to do about the increasing price of oil. However, for a country like Nigeria which relies heavily on oil, a drop in the price as advocated by the United States President would have a negative effect on its revenue.

President Buhari is scheduled to visit the White House for a meeting with Trump on April 30, and it will be interesting to see if oil is part of the agenda. It definitely should be at this point.
