Lord_Reed: I just read an article that says Nokia doesn't own the patent. They applied then dropped the bid so Google is free to implement it.
Sounds like a cool idea. I would like to have it on my phone then I can switch profiles between work and home and probably have an entertainment profile too. when was the article written? |

ACM10: Thanks for inviting me to make a contribution. Protruding belly in people living with SCA is as a result of enlarged spleen, liver or both. Due to the fact that they are overworked in the job of breakdown of sickle cell and conjugation of bilirubin. They tend to hypertrophy to compensate for their increased functions. Its treatment is usually splenectomy when it becomes worrisome. But immunisation against some organisms may have to preceed the surgical procedure. Though most people living with SCA undergoes autosplenectomy before attaining adulthood. There is no treatment for enlarged liver. Partial hepatectomy is not advised. Protruded belly may also be due to ascites if liver decompensates in failure.
@Blink, Using glucose to treat jaundice is new to me. Though glucose might be of benefit in constant fatigue, but it certainly has no proven benefit in the treatment of jaundice. Also worthy of note that after the splenic enlargement autosplenectomy tends to occur. Chief |

nysot: [b]In Genetics, during crossing, the possibility of you giving birth to a sickler is from the fourth child[b], the first child would be AA, the second and third children would be AS while the fourth would be SS.
In reality, this might not happen. I have a friend who is SS and he is the first child. Both parents are AS, they planned to have 3 children with the mindset that 1 would be AA and the other 2 would be AS. But that did not work for them, they had the first and he is SS.
So, you can never tell. not quite. It only indicates a 25% chance. Meaning they could have 5 children and all 5 will be SS. |

It shouldn't really bother anybody if there're strip clubs, as long as there're regulations in place to keep minors away |

4llerbuntu: thats true sha.
but who has the patents on that thing? saw some arguments on it being patented and therefor google cannot put it on phones.
anyway, im sure CM got it covered sha.
but its pretty weird how CM kinda like does better firmware than all the big OEMS. its just a few guys and they do better than the big companies with big products heard the patent is owned by Nokia |

For those who are using the note 2, what do you think? Can it really suffice as a tablet? simply put, no |

True, performance depends on optimization e.g for the One X, upgrading to JB puts it among top performers (even challenging the Optimus G). The sunspider benchmark only measures web browsing performance tho |

nikkyshyne: ^^ Lol chreld_b. That is nairaland's dictionary for you. The word R-A-P-E is being replaced with Molestation when you click on the submit button. Don't mind oga Seun. He did that with so many words. I find c.u..m which was replaced with 'precipitate' funny. imagine. Vib.rator is now presented as Romance-Machine. What if it was used in another context? The meaning'll be lost then. Seun has to step back a bit |
