Many thanks for your numerous contributions, pix and openness. I was going to send you a PM but thought others like me may also benefit from our discussion.

I'm Saskatchewan bound and wish to continue with my engineering practice (electrical) when I arrive. I've applied to APEGS for EIT but unfortunately I was assigned to write the confirmatory exam.
I've reviewed the said exam and I find sitting for about 16 exams for just EIT tough. I am considering the options of writing the APEGA NCEES FE exam or enrolling for a M.Eng program at UoS as better alternatives. Please kindly advise and I would really appreciate if you can link me with a study group.

I'm finally here after about 3weeks!

I had my visa interview yesterday 05.01.17 in Lagos with my DW and LO. Quite simple and straightforward.

Me: hello? (while tossing in our passports through the hole)
VO: is she your daughter?
Me & DW: yes our daughter
VO: why are u going to the US?
Me: to have our baby
VO: have you ever been outside your country?
Me: yes, UK with my wife and Ghana for my professional exam.
VO: what do you do?
Me: I'm bla bla bla with bla bla bla
VO: what do you do?
DW: i'm a home maker
VO: ok
VO: what do you do in your company?
Me: I bla bla
VO: what's your budget for this trip?
Me: a little above $16,000.00
VO: do you have any sort of statement to show?
Me: yeah (passed my statement from my stockbroker, bank statement and pension statement)
She paid more attention on the pension (date of commencement, balance, employer name)
VO: how do you intend to pay for this?
Me: I would be self paying, I've been investing in stocks for this and from other savings (note share value plenty and pension plenty too but 1m in my bank account)
VO: what's your company into?
Me: downstream oil & gas company
VO: your visa would be ready for pickup in 3 business days from now.
Me: thank you
VISA GRANTED

Madam, this na family matter oo! My home was worse than WWE court in my first year of marriage, I even sent my wife away with pregnancy thinking I'm being a "man", but today I regret every of my actions.
Not all men can handle the pressure of marriage, calm down there is learning curve. He will definitely come back to his senses.
I assure u that u guys are better off together. Raising a child alone no be moi moi oo. My wife never gave up on me all that period and I will always honour her for that.

I believe the 375 is ok, but what matters most is the weight of your Bank statement,because they dont care how u source your Dollars. So which ever rate u want to use,make sure that your bank statements is very ok with a good inflow/outlow,and an after balance of good amount that can cover what u have on your budget sheet and other expenses also. Which ever you chose is okay,but you should have the following at the back of your mind,because you might be asked when you go for interview .
Is the distant relative a us citizen,? Is he there legally?
If you are stating hotel,you must have a reservation from the hotel to show when you go for the interview and also,you should work out total cost of your period of stay and add it to your budget sheet

Please can our ameable guru im here clarify for me whether I can pack a copy of my Bsc certificate and that of my spouse (though to be silled in seperate envilopes with individual WES reference number) inside one big envilope while sending it through courier to WES for evaluation or do I have to send them seperately at different times?

Send them separately, I sent my through Nipost for just N150.00 and it got WES within days

Hello everyone, I just found out how easy it is to score above 450 without having a Canadian work experience. All you need is very high ielts scores (especially listening) and if all u have is a BSc, look for a short diploma certificate and u will be fine. I've been searching for any WES acceptable cheap, short and easy diploma course. Pls can anyone help with one?
