sweetboiy: 1 You will ask your friends..how far with reading? They say they haven’t started…only for you to get to the library and find out they have a permanent seat.
2 If you think true love and a virgin is the only thing that is hard to find, try looking for your Academic Adviser, HOD or Director when you need his signature on a form or on your file.
3 In IMT you don’t need to go far for any workman. right in your lodge, you have student(s) that is/are electrician, painter, carpenter, designer, plumber and even intra-campus keke driver.
4 IMT Computer Science students can configure free browsing on small Nokia torchlight phone and install whatsapp on their room televisions.
5 You get to class as early as 6.30am especially in ur ND1 First Semester only to see that all seats have been occupied with bags, lip-sticks, books and other belongings. You start asking yourself if ghosts are offered admission too.
6 You have already prepared food but to eat it is another obstacle because you are already late for lectures.
7 Lecturer: Only 10 students in class today? Tear a sheet of paper for your quiz, turns to the board to write but before he turns back, the class is full to the brim.
8 Come to Night Class during exams, you will see different levels of reading -scaning, skimming, jaking, craming and lots more.
9 It’s always funny when exam supervisor says SUBMIT!! And many students suddenly develop that super-human ability; answering 3hrs question in 50seconds.
10 IMT girls have different categories of boy friends viz Quiz boy friend, Exam Boyfriend, Agbugbu Joint Boyfriend, Assignment Boyfriend and even Keke driver Boyfriend.
11 IMT lecturers can teach on Saturdays, Student’s week, Ash Wednesdays and even on December.
12 Inside campus, you will see tens of students with nicknames like 001, Rector, HOD, Campus 1, Campus 3, PaPa, Configure e.t.c.
IMT sweet die! Dat destiny ruining skool. Don't ask how i know cos its my alma mata. Dubious place to acquire a degree of any form. |

Politics › Re: The Crime Of Lagos State In Demolishing Oshodi Main Market by cjeriia: 7:36am On Jan 07, 2016 |
xtrorp: “Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve.” - Jessica Brody
In Lagos under 'One Nigeria' there seem to exist a silent economic war of destruction of livelihood, burning of markets in the middle of the night, extortion and harassment of genuine businesses by official area boys and street urchins, illegal/multiple taxing of business owners, in markets where Igbos operate e.g. Tejuoso, Alaba International and Ladipo. And now Oshodi electrical & electronic market.
Many of these attracious deeds are conducted at odd times when the traders won't be available to resist the dastardly acts.
Over the decades in the South-West, the Yorubas have systematically burnt Igbo shops as a guise to hijacking the markets from Igbos.
They hide under the guise of city development at the expense of the people's welfare and claim they had given the traders ample time to relocate and yet the demolition is carried out at odd times. Even the proposed alternative shops are exorbitant and out of reach by the common man.

https://www.nairaland.com/2847088/photos-oshodi-electronic-market-demolished
Prior to the 2015 general elections, amidst the threat by the lagoon crooner to drown Igbos, 18 Chisco transport buses were criminally burnt down in Lagos and up till date nothing was done to bring the culprits to book.
What does 'One Nigeria' mean? A deceit where you are empowered to share my crude oil and wealth as 'One Nigeria' while I am considered a migrant to your State whom you're just merely accommodating and may perish in the lagoon at your command.
It is a chaotic situation where the Oba of a place would invite the representative of a people for discussion in his palace as regards a market leadership dispute only to set an ambush for him and unleash hundreds of thugs to flog and disgrace him.
It is an unjust situation where you're licensed to use foul means to destroy my business in your State with outrageous taxes. You can close my business premises at will while your elites continue to shout 'One Nigeria' to cover up the evils and injustices prevalent in the land. And you still expect me to be docile and continue to suffer silently as your hate and envy for my progress soar high.
Now, do you have any case for unity - fake or imaginary?
If you have there would no need fooling and playing to the gallery and shouting 'One Nigeria'. Or have you ever heard 'One Great Britain', 'One United States of America', 'One Germany'? That shows that something is fundamentally wrong which many have been shying away from.
Is it a crime for any person/group to choose to opt out of a relationship?
Strange bedfellows, with irreconcilable value systems that are at best suitable for the individual selves, are not meant to be together! The 102 years of existence attest to that verdict!
Victor Hugo once said "no army can stop an idea whose time has come" and that "one can resist the invasion of armies but not the invasion of ideas". The stupidity of my Igbo brothers. My advice to them, simply move your business' to the east. These demolitions occur at regular intervals but my Igbo brothers will never learn. |

chucky234: People can be funny sha
I didn't want to say anything about this issue but I'll clear few things here, firstly you are not the first person I have delivered car to and the said 630k is the least amount I have received upfront yet I have delivered according to agreement over the years. I have made few mistakes as a human but I have never scam anyone in 9yrs (7yrs on nl) of working as a car dealer. . The said car is my personal car and the last nairalander (tobolos) who saw that car when he came to deliver foetus and drugs for my dog can attest to the far that my car was sound and well cared for. I'm an automobile person who is well knowledgeable about car maintenance and people like Kingreign, abatically, gazzuz , nurey , fulaman98 can attest to that fact. . I put up that car for sale and what I wanted was 750k last, people have called to price that for 700k but I refused to sell. When we negotiated I told 750k last, then additional 30k for delivery, 30k for fresh registration ( since you insisted I re-register on ur name) which totalled 810k. You said you don't have enough cash that you need to borrow from friends, since I didn't want you to borrow just to buy car I reduced the price to 670k to accommodate the 60k for fresh registration and delivery. You sent in 630k into my account to balance 100k when the car gets to you, from the 630k I 30k for the fresh registration and 20k was given to the driver to be on standby. Due to the poor state of my health I asked my friend to take the car to mechanic around agric, he got there and his mech wasn't around instead of calling to me he took the car to another mech around volks bus stop for fixing. He called me later and sent pics of what they were fixing on the car to me which I forwarded to you, due to wrong connection by the electrician my radiator fan was burnt the following day and I got another fan from Trinity and the car was ok aside the brake which they fixed but was still not ok. . That car left Lagos by 8am and got to PH by 3pm, I don't a junk car will do that. The car was delivered you refused to pay my 100k, complaining about different faults and threatening me with father being an herbalist with mountains of juju in his compound. Well for peace to reign I asked you to forget about the 100k, that means I sold a Benz C240 I was going to sell 750k to you for 570k, but you insisted that I send you another 50k. Check around and see how much junk reg. Camry Tinylight and Honda Babbyboy is going for in the market, at that point I said I won't send you any other money because I won't my Benz 520k. I told you that my lawyer will come with your 570k to bring my car back to Lagos and I still stand on that. . Anyone in PH can meet with to see the said car and tell me if the car worth lower or more than what I sold the car for. . This is my car: www.nairaland.com/2537910/sold-regd-2002-c240-grab . And here is same car going for 1.3m: www.nairaland.com/2581490/very-sharp-n-clean-registerd#38337190 . From 750k I reduced the price to 670k for him and ended up forfeiting 100k that means he paid 570k for the said car. That's a car I used daily, none of such faults we're there aside the horn which affected the airbag on the driver side and also the break. My engine brings out vapour from the exhaust, AC work fine, neat interior and exterior. You prolly expect a Naija used car to be in. Same condition as toks, why not cough out 1.7m to buy the toks. Like I said I didn't force the car on you and I clearly gave you the option of me picking the car and return your 570k. . For those shouting scam scam scam, I don't seem to understand where the scam is coming from. I'm not faceless here, I have an identity on naiarland and have met close to 500 nairaland members in the course of doing business here. He paid for a car and I delivered, I didn't do away with his money. . Like I said earlier I have made very few mistakes (except there is anyone here without mistakes) in my 9yrs of working as a car dealer, just one in Uyo and another in PH and that's all about it. I wait for anyone to come out here and say that I scam him/her. Guy u be scam. Your explanations just sold you out. @ OP, dis should serve as a lesson. next time insist on paying on delivery or do a physical inspection first before shelling out any form of money |
