Dear Beautyaddy,

I need your help confirming the above i.e. if you or any one you know have personally experienced this. I am in a limbo regarding where to birth as it seems late for Brazil processing and was considering st kitts until now.

The hassle involved and the chance of not getting into the country or getting citizenship despite the claims/facts online is scaring me.

Thank you.

Hello afelouz. Your wife not having your surname is not a problem at all in PR application. In fact, you guys don’t even need to be married to apply for PR base on your baby. So far as both of you are the parents, you can apply for the PR.

If you guys already had plans to change your wife’s name to yours then that is another thing all together. For that, i will personally recommend you guys waiting until after the PR application. Your wife’s name must match that of her passport and birth certificate. Of course she can legally change her name but if the legal name change has not yet taken place, then please let her us the name on her passport to make things easier for you guys. Both my husband and I have different surnames but we got our PR and now citizenship without any problem. Cheers

which city did you give birth?

Adjo10:

Good question. Naturalization requires you to have PR. The only exception is if you have lived here continuously for 15 years. Applying for PR requires you to provide specific documents, translations and legalisation. If not well prepared, this can take you an eternity. So ultimately, you are delaying your naturalization process by delaying your PR. Note that, the number of years required for you to naturalized starts from the date you receive your PR card and not from the day to entered Brazil.

Secondly, after PR there is a language requirement to naturalization. If you don’t plan well, you will spend 10 years here without getting to the required level for naturalization.

Aside the police report that is meant to be translated what other documents is one expected to carry along to Brazil for PR application?

Are there states that expedite the process and have a relatively fast processing time for the PR?

Yea i can understand. But it is best to go for PR because it is the best way of ensuring that you don’t go through all these visa issues again next time you want to give birth in Brazil. PR is somehow an assurance that your future children will be Brazilians at least. It is worth the fight.

Unfortunately, most if my friends who gave birth heard about Brazil late in their pregnancies so they came in a rash. They had no time to plan well. So it will definitely take them longer to get their citizenship. Most people think of US or Canada when it comes to giving birth. But they will make it at the end. They will all wave the beautiful Brazilian flag one day. At least before the next world cup lol. I wonder who i will support if Nigeria and Brazil should face each other at the World cup grin

Cheers

when you say they had no time to plan well what actually do you mean?

How does not planning well affects the duration of them becoming citizens?

Which city did you give birth?

Try Germany. It is tuition free. All the best.

U P D A T E !

My application was approved and passport requested on the 7th of November. I mailed it to them and an acknowledgement was received on the 14th. Since then, my passport has been under process at IRCC and program start date is just 3 weeks away.

I mailed the Nairobi office to express my concerns and sent a CSO to Lagos office but there was no response. A week later, I sent another mail and they responded on Tuesday, 10th Dec.

Can someone guess the response?

I was asked to provide through email, the statement of the account that i submitted, from Sept 2018 to Sept 2019. In order words, after approval and passport request, IRCC Lagos office requested for a one-year statement of the account that I submitted in my application. They asked me to submit before 12th, Dec.and instructed that the statement shows my name, number, available balance, debits and credits.

I went to the bank same day, printed and forwarded to them as instructed. An auto acknowledgement was received and yesterday, a final decision was dispatched in my favour.

It has ended in praises!

Special thanks to @frankrobbn1 for calming my nerves during this long wait.

To a brother found on this thread @bimmy35, you've been a source of encouragement. See you in two weeks!

To all hopefuls herein, do your best and hang in there. TRV must follow you.

It's not yet over until it's over. Don't just read this post. Digest it and reason the VOs intentions for the delay. Self sponsorship with multiple evidence of a meagre salary and unmatching closing balance was almost a red flag. I had explained the steady source of other funds which they likely doubted. With God, I was a step ahead and my one year statement vindicated me. No lump sum over the past one year and available balance increased substantially from what it was when I submitted my application.

Congratulations to you. I wish you the very best.

Good day everyone. I'm new to this forum . I Please is there anyone here who applied to memorial university for fall semester 2020? I did, about 2 weeks ago and I submitted all required documents for MSC program ( transcript , 2 appraisal letters and bsc certificate) I made sure my school forwarded the documents to their email but since then I have been checking my application status and it states there under the received box ; the dates when the appraisal letters were received but the other requirements no dates stated. I dont know how to really explain the page on here but it just summarises that application is incomplete until all documents are received . Now I am a bit worried, I am not sure I should do something or just wait . I already contacted my school to resend the documents and they did but still the page is the Same. Please i'ld really love to get suggestions or someone else's expeience thanks

The transcript must be sent via courier or through post. They won't acknowledge the one sent through email. All the best.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the good work.

Please, I am asking on behalf of a friend. She gained admission to study a certificate course in Nursing, at a Canadian University.

Her question is, should she apply for the student visa with her kids? She is married with 4 kids.

Her second option is to apply alone, get the visa, and then apply for the kids before school starts in September, 2020. i.e., apply for the kids while still in Nigeria, and has obtained her own visa.

Your advice would be appreciated.

God Bless

Second option is preferable to tackle the issue of home tie. My thoughts though. Those that know better will answer when they come.

Good evening everyone please I need your opinion on this ..
I got admission into New Brunswick college of craft and design to study digital media. I’m a graduate of Computer Science with 3.8/5 CGPA . So I met with Maple Education and was advice not to process it because due to the fact that the VO might not see it as a good reason because it’s a diploma course.
So I deferred till next fall.
Now I want to know if I should go ahead with the visa application or just apply for a masters degree or a PGDC??

Don't feel your visa will be approved even with Maple. They don't influence the issuance of visa. Don't waste your money with them. Information gathered here is more than helpful stick to it.

I am 26years and newly married.
I have a good travel history and no visa refusal recorded however with the ongoing skoi skoi at the Canadian embassy, I am contemplating if I should go ahead or not.

I will appreciate any advice.

Well, I applied in 2016 and got refused due to insufficient funds. So I deferred my admission and waited till when everything would be in place financially. I'm taking Computer Science B.Sc. Within my wait period I have taken Computer Science programs both online and in person, I've also taken internships in Web Development, I included all these in my SOP with Solid proof and by God's grace finances are now available and very stable. My agent worked at the Immigration office in lagos for 10 years before retiring to start his Visa Consultation Firm, so he is really skilled, he has very good success rate. He Scrutinized my application thoroughly. It's all good. Also believe God and be hopeful, don't let the rate of denial scare you for a second, just believe that your case is different. Also prepare to receive refusal in good faith should it come, at the end of the day, what could be the worst?

where is your visa office?

In such case the person need a very simple and light weighed application, what do I mean?
You don't need a complex application because trying to convince the VO with all form of over exaggerated documents may raise eyebrows
A simple application, one page LOE stating your previous rejection and reason for career development, simple SOA with few cash that make you look real and
not tens of millions that will make you not real and above your present status, and few other documents relating to your career development

Yes they do very wella!!! What I said is that the rejection hammer is very much on them and very less on those schools I mentioned earlier. I brought this to the public so people can package their application well and not just sampling millions worth of SOA

For someone who already has a Masters and wants to go for another masters due to career development, how do you advise the person to package his or her application? Especially after been denied based on purpose of visit and family ties.

So one of my students for a Bachelor's degree program got his application approved yesterday.

This is what I noticed about the Canadian study permit:

1. Students from wealthy backgrounds have higher chance than people from average family.

2. Students with travel history are also more likely to have their applications approved than students without travel history.

3. Huge funds in the bank statement is not really necessary. My last 2 students that got study permits had 2.3M and 4M in their respective parents account.

4. Still in relation to the bank statements, I think it's necessary to attach how the money was accumulated (either via salary pay slips, offer of employment, confirmation and letter of introduction from employers). For business people, CAC documents and tax clearance would suffice.

One thing I also discovered is that visa is a case by case study, because you have different VOs treating different applications, what VO A would ignore in an application, VO B might not ignRe. I mentioned that my last 2 students got visa, lemme give a small round down of their applications, one was for Msc for September 2019 in take, applied in Mar 2019, visa was approved in July 2019. The other was for Bsc for Jan 2020 intake, applied 19 Oct 2019, application approved 21 Nov 2019 (fastest response I've seen, 31 days). Both fathers work at CBN HQ here in Abuja, for the Msc girl the father wrote a 2 line sponsorship letter on a normal A4 paper and signed. He only stated that he works at CBN and he's the biological father and is willing to sponsor her through her Msc programme, they're the one with 2.3M bank statement. Application was approved

The Bsc father got an introduction letter from CBN, brought his ID card, offer letter and confirmation. Had 1.9M in his account, the wife is a business woman, she had 2.4M and we used it as a joint statement. Her CAC documents and tax clearance form was attached. Application was approved.

Yesterday I met another client and the daughter going for Bsc was denied, someone referred them to me after the daughter was denied. She's 16 just like the other Bsc student but when I looked at the documents submitted, it looked more like the documents we submitted for the Msc student only difference was that the father didn't state where he worked. And a part of the refusal letter stated that there's no sufficient fund and as such they do not believe that the student would not want to seek employment to survive and pay fees.

Did anyone notice anything? This particular man is a Medical doctor, works in a teaching hospital and he's well paid. So I've told them to get all the documents I used for the other student going Bsc and will use it to reapply for her.

In general, I would suggest that when applying for visas, don't leave any thing untouched, put every thing you have just like the first Bsc student and you'll be good to go.

For someone who already has a Masters and wants to go for another masters due to career development, how do you advise the person to package his or her application? Especially after been denied based on purpose of visit and family ties.

Linzo:

Yes!!! I do mentioned that their rejection rate is very rare compare to private universities mostly and lesser institutions of higher learning. I understand your point of trying to carry everyone along and not to discourage anyone from such schools, however, we should also let them know what is obtainable so that they can plan well.

Please forget about this quota stuff because nothing like that existed, don't you notice that Visa rejection for a session 2019/2020 starts even last year when application for 2019/2020 universities application have not opened. Don't just use quota for an excuse because their is nothing of such.

Mr boss, applicant previous study institution is the major reason for rejection, if you could be sincere to yourself you will hardly pinpoint any rejection from these schools UNN,Unibadan, Unilag and few other top universities. Let me ask you one question, can you mentioned or refer to a post of any person from these schools with first class and got rejected? Except for covenant university which is private.

We're sincere with facts boss, just that you know the truth but don't want to present it so that people will not feel bad and thus stop mentioning you for aid and encouragement.

Finally, please don't get me wrong, I didn't say only the universities mentioned got Visa approval. Both private and other lesser institute of higher learning get study permit approval but it will require constructive application and not tight application

What is wrong with you and all these lesser university talk? This is the reason why there is dichotomy in this country. Where you go to school is absolutely insignificant my dear. You have made your point I suggest you rest your case in other not to aggravate people. This is not the time to unleash unproven theory especially when people are going through emotional pains due to rejection. Be sensitive to their emotions. Please stop ok?
Let's be kind to one another.

Hey fellow aspirants, I'd figure one of the major reasons for rejection especially in the masters program for Nigeria students.
The major reason for refusal is school of your undergraduate, Visa officers give credence to your undergraduate university. Have you notice that graduates from UNN, Unilag, Unibadan, convernent and top five universities are hardly refuse Visa? Most of the refusals are graduates for lesser universities especially private schools.
If you're not from the aforementioned schools please do well to constructively package your application. Take note

This your theory and school of thought doesn't hold water because some of us didn't school in Nigeria but still got rejection.

[quote author=blackfarmer1510 post=84190680]Hello Guys,

I arrived Canada on the 1st of September. It has not been easy. If I knew what I know now I would have thought seriously about this school thing. God has been merciful to me. My advice to anyone coming to BC...don't count on the idea that you can work part time to pay your fees or survive here. I live in Vancouver Island and attend VIU. Most of my classmates are Indians and most of them are only interested in getting residence. They get visa easily and can take a loan from their local bank to deposit money for their fees. If you ever get into project groups with them you are on your own. You will do the work yourself because they really don't care about their grades.

If you are coming to VIU or anywhere in BC, please come with Nigerian food stuffs like dry pepper and palm oil. Its very expensive. Don't joke o. Carry indomie..it is a life saver. I came with Garri Ijebu and groundnut. I came with pepper soup spice (fish and meat is cheap). Come with umbrella, rain boot and rain coat...it rains like hell in Vancouver and Vancouver Island but its not as cold as the other parts of the freezer (Canada is freaking cold...no bi joke) I brought all the Igbo food stuffs I can carry and forgot income. Please carry coffee and milo. You will thank me for it.

I stayed at an airbnb for one week before I found a house. Its not cheap and also because I wanted my family to join me I needed to get a bigger house and used the rent agreement in the visa application for my family. I applied for their visa on the 23rd and they received approval last two weeks.

What type of visa did you apply for your spouse please?

You might not need to reapply, if you did include in your application that you are currently working and provided evidence in your application. You can send the immigration office a mail to reconsider your application and also ensure you highlight the documents you submitted earlier in your application. I know someone who got his visa after sending a reconsideration mail to Nairobi immigration.

Like seriously?

Pls my wife got admission in Brandon University and she plan to go with her kids of 7yr&4yr but don't know what to fill on the kids form. Is it Visit or study permit for the kids. When she fill in study permit she was asking to upload Acceptance Letter of the kids school. I need guidance please.

Minor children applying from outside Canada to accompany a parent for work or study in Canada for 6 months or longer must apply for a study permit. They both need acceptance letter from the school she intends to enroll them in. You should bring two years of official school records for your children, in English or with a certified English translation. You may also need immunization records since birth and their original birth certificate.

Check the link below for more information.
