I'm happy for Ghana sha. After missing out on CHAN and most likely the world cup, At least, they've won a trophy after so many years of agony and gnashing of teeth. It is only what they can win, Other more important trophies are out of their reach for now. Congratulations to the local champions.

Ndidi-Onazi means confusion
I support u Gaskiya
I will want to go with Mikel nd Ndidi in midfield. Iheanacho should play 8 (he has never convinced me as a number 9 in an eagle's shirt) while Ighalo strikes

I think Seychelles shld concede nothing less than 30 goals in this qualifying series. Just my thought though.

It doesn't matter.

Invitation by merit not associated past glories or assumed potential to be groomed.

He should be left alone to develop and prove himself worthy in his club first before the SE.

What about the players proven, tested and established not even given a notice.
So which of the Number 9, who have been "proven, tested and established" has not been called sir?

Enough to be selected over proven, tested and established players playing in better teams and better leagues.

We know anything that diews not have clearly defined methodology and measurement for excellence and ability will be open to abuse particularly in Nigeria.

My query is very simple create a level playing field for players to get selected on merit not subjective judgement.

Are there better proven and established players yes there are. This boy is a youth player however if he has proven his quality at 17/18 in his parent club just like Mbappe and Gabriel have done there will be no debate.

He is recovering from Injury has played barely 45 minutes of total football all season in lowly relegation facing club and is invited to SE camp. There is no basis beyond the coach likes him.

It sends the wrong signal it clearly is not a level playing field. It is not the right imagery needed for the SE sends a negative signal.
But he is not going to make match day squad na.
We already have two good strikers in Iheanacho and Kayode in the team

Youth football shows potential it doesn't confirm class or ability. Chrisantus was golden U17 boy how far did he gohuh

Chuba Akpom has been Killing it at youth level but cannot make the big jump to senior football.

If he was that good lowly struggling Wolfsburg would not have left him on the bench in a win or loose everything final relegation match with Eintracht Braunschweig.

It is your club present and continous form and performance that justifies your inclusion not your past glories into the national team.

Osimhen has none to underpin his selection beyond, the coaches think he is good.
Sir, In as much as I am not a fan of Osimhen, Your submission on his involvement in Wolfsburg make or mar relegation fight can tempt one to think he is one 25-year old striker. But hey......this guy is just 18 yrs and he was good enough to make the bench for that all-important clash. To me, that's enough. Not all African players at that young age are favoured in Europe that way.
Let's allow Rohr plan his team. My main concern is convincing (and vital) wins and good football

I'm not sure Osimhen will even make the match day squad against SA which means Rohr, (who I doubt will continue coaching SE after the 2018 WC) has future plans for the SE.

Eagles are in Abuja now. I read that they are on break. Those with houses in Abuja can go to their homes while the others will be at their Bolton White apartment Camp. They are to regroup on Sunday night and Come Monday, preparation for Operation bring down the Bafana Bafana starts.

Who says?
It won't kill him. It didn't kill Mikel. Playing Omeruo as a defensive midfielder didn't kill him..

I'm just saying as a coach I will experiment him there in training to see if he excels. I may want to start the trio of Onazi, Agu and Ndidi. Also, prepare for situations in future when players get injured in a tournament for example, and you don't have great options.
It didn't kill Mikel nd Omeruo because that was at club level. They have got all the time in the world to experiment. But trying it at national team level would be suicidal when you have about 5 days to prepare for matches
I support Awaziem nd Ekong against SA. Omeruo gets me scared

even the young player category he did not win it
We hear of Onyekuru's name because he is a Nigerian. There are other top performers (from other countries) in the Belgian league too. Making the team of the season is a decent achievement for a 19 year old. Even gifted students misses out of the top prizes at times.
