When will the coach announce the final 23 man squad. I was a fan of Joel Obi but can now see that he doesn't merit a place in the team. I don't think Rohr can drop Onazi o.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
For God sake, do I have to explain to you that this picture is actually the opposite of the present situation?

Which body is on strike?
Which body want their salaries "adjusted" as was done for Doctors in 2014
Which body wants to become Consultants just like Doctors
Which body wants to become Chief MEDICAL(I don't know why people find it hard to understand this) Director like Doctors
Which body want central placement of its Interns approved as was done ( but not yet implemented) for House Officers
I can go on and on.

If after all these points I raised, you still don't understand that the pix was actually edited and is the reverse of the actual situation in the health sector, then I give up on your case.

Off the top of my head.

1. Musa assist for Ideye against Mali in the 2013 nations cup

2. Musa cross for Nwofor in the Mandela cup.

3. Musa cross for Victor Moses against Algeria

4. Moses deep cross for Simon Moses against cameroon in a friendly game.
I think -
for the first instance, it was Emenike that gave that cross to Ideye sir not Musa (Ideye scored in the first half while Musa came in the second)

for the Moses simon's goal against Cameroon that assist from Musa (off a swift counter) was more of through Ball to Simon

Another look at the highlights would help sir

I'm not referring to your initial AM tussle you were discussing referencing Ebere Eze. I'm looking at it from a bigger pics. We tend to want all these players, but truth is that Naija is also very competitive and a domineering int'l career is not guaranteed for somenof these FBs players... But to your question, at the moment, 2 AMs. But in the future (2 to 3 yrs), we'd have about 4. Nwakali, Ifeanyi Matthews, Yahaya etc. Now if we want to start living in fantasies like @Forgiveness, then we could start adding guys like Lookman, Ejaria, Onomah and it starts becoming herculean for all of them to play regularly for us.
Did you just mentioned Ifeanyi Matthew as an AM?. Well, no one is above mistake sha

Some Nigerians can be so funny and irrational in their thinking.
While watching the game, a man seated infront of exclaimed "this team is full of bunch of fools who can't play football and Nigeria is doomed" simply because we went a goal down.

I shut him up by saying these same fools qualified us for the world cup from a very tight and competitive group. They did it in style by qualifying despite us missing out in the last two consecutive AFCONs. The same fools defeated Argentina Poland, Cameroon, Algeria, Zambia...

The man just kept is mouth shut-till the end of the match. So much for the plastic fans.

I definitely celebrated our win and I'm still ruminating over it but that's not the point.

That statement you bolded becomes significant when you realize that I'm against the idea that we have arrived after our win against Poland as popular belief is.

I'm with the motion that we won dirty, and nobody wants to accept that. Everyone believes we outplayed Poland, when we were rubbish, while they were woeful. Ask yourself this, "if Poland had won, what would I have thought?".

Don't label me an anti.
Bros, No one is saying the SE has arrived. The purpose of friendlies is to build your team to perfection. Fine, We didn't play too well against Poland but considering where we are from, the quality of our players, and the game being played away from home, I think it wasn't a bad game. The area I disagree with, is basing SE (and Poland) strength on that single match. Our opponents will sure not do that because that can be suicidal for them.
I think we can match many of these top ranked teams. Of course my conviction about this is not based on our Performance against Poland alone

The super eagles definitely need/deserve better scouting what are Elderson, Omeruo, Stephen Eze, doing in a friendly 2 months to the world cup?

In a country with a population of over 170million. Is that the best we can offer? What a shame? Kelechi and Iwobi should have started from the bench. This is the time to invite and test more players did nigerian's know Ebuehi or Idowu were good enough unit they were invited and tested.

One would expect Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis (WF, CF),Cyriel Dessers (WF , CF) , Derik Osede (DC), K.Otigba (DC), Fanendo Adi (CF, ST), Azubuike Okechukwu (AM, MC), Sunday Stephen (DM, MC) (whom benched iniesta at spain U19, U20, U21), Ryan Sanusi and of course the (king) Simon Kalu (AM, WF).

Thank God Mikel Agu was not invited his intercepts are so low and man marking so poor, for a centeral or defending midfilder. Rohr wants to play 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, but he has never invited a center forward (CF). If he takes this squad to the world cup Nigeria would be disgraced.

If Olarenwaju Kayode was continually called up to the Super Eagles without having a single shot on target then Fanendo Adi (Adi was signed permanently by the Portland Timbers on 23 June 2014. Where he became the club's fourth ever Designated Player) (Google Designated Player if you do not know the meaning) would do better.

Even Anthony Nwakeme would do better, if given more call-ups, He is so good at the Europa League.

Or is it Ighalo that would lead Nigeria to the Quarterfinal? Impossible.

Remember in 2014 Nigeria was the lowest scoring team in qualifying, and scoring was a big problem at the world cup. That is likely to repeat itself.

The midfield and the attack (NO.9) are Super Eagle's weakest links.
Football is about what you can offer presently and not on your past exploit. Sunday Stephen Obayan is not SE standard at present.
Let me not even mention Osede
So who should have benched Iheanacho and Iwobi?. I hope you know that we have just about 3 months to WC so it will be foolhardy to be testing "170 million Nigerians" for a 23-man WC squad as you suggested.
Okechukwu, Dessers and Sanusi can wait till after the WC. We've got no time

good for him...we wish him well.
Guyz on this thread are not even talking about the snub because we have young capable fullbacks and we've got someone like Deji-Beyreuther coming up. And when you consider that fullbacks might still come up through the U-20 and U-17, one will realize that Nigeria is not desperate to have Jordan. At least we have tried to convince him ( even promising him a slot in our WC squad). We can only wish him all the best

I keep re-watching the NIG vs ARG.
The false 9 system was brilliant.
Either of the trio; mikel, nacho and iwobi kept popping in the no. 9 position at random and argentina did not know which danger man to mark.
Iwobi from the wings sneaked in and put in two behind them.
It was magical.
Yes. It's like a doctor's daily prescription which I watch daily. Iheanacho could do better with his passing eventhough he was fantastic on the night. By and large, it was a sweet victory

When I dey talk for here people think say I dey talk rubbish. Now, we are hearing from the horses mouth that the 90s set no dey d same level with dis set. They were better than this set but some people here wan blind eyes with mago mago sentiment. Here we are, Rohr has confirmed it.

The second bolded is what I don dey hammer since but people here are too sentimental to see we don't have a striker in Kelechi Iheanacho and Ighalo(though I think he's).
You have a point but I think he was trying to downplay the expectation and cautious about going overboard regarding the SE Performance at the WC

According to thenff.com, Victor Moses is part of the 22 players in camp

Eagles begin training as 22 players hit camp

The Super Eagles’ Radisson Blu Hotel camp in Wroclaw has become a beehive of activities following the arrival of 22 players and the beginning of training sessions on Tuesday.

Technical and backroom staff, alongside six players, opened the camp on Monday, but the facility exploded into life with the arrival of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, defenders Kenneth Omeruo, Elderson Echiejile, Stephen Eze, Abdullahi Shehu and Chidozie Awaziem, midfielders Joel Obi, John Ogu, Ogenyi Onazi, Uche Agbo and Wilfred Ndidi, and forwards Ahmed Musa, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho and Victor Moses on Tuesday.

Nigeria –based goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa and South Africa –based Daniel Akpeyi are expected on Wednesday.

Skipper Mikel John Obi is unlikely to make it to Wroclaw as he has been working hard at renewing his work permit in China, where he plays for Tianjin Teda. Team Administrator Dayo Enebi Achor told thenff.com on Tuesday: “We all had been hoping that the renewal would come in good time for him to fly to Poland. As it is now, it is not likely that he would make the trip.”

Midfield Trojan Oghenekaro Etebo is injured, and Egypt –based Junior Ajayi, who was unable to secure visa into Poland, will fly directly to London for Tuesday’s clash with Serbia at The Hive, Canons Park.

The team trained twice on Tuesday, with the same schedule for Wednesday, before Thursday’s training at match time inside the Municipal Stadium in Wroclaw. The match kicks off at 8.45pm (Nigeria and Poland are on same time zone) on Friday.

Friday’s showdown inside the 43,000 –capacity stadium formally opens the first phase of the Super Eagles’ preparation for the 21stFIFA World Cup finals, taking place in the Russian Federation 14th June – 15th July this year.

After Tuesday’s game with Serbia in London, the three-time African champions will play a Send –Forth match against the Democratic Republic of Congo in Nigeria, before flying back to London for a prestige clash England’s Three Lions at Wembley on 2nd June.

Four days later, they come up against the Czech Republic at their final training camp in Austria, and another friendly game is on the cards before the squad jets out to the World Cup finals on 11th June.

Nigeria’s team base camp at the 21st FIFA World Cup finals is located in Yessentuki, Stavropol territory in the southern region of the Russian Federation.
