d northerers r even wiser now. go to the north now and try corruption. sheriff is hated by his people. They r now wiser. They r now united in their fight against corrupt hopeless leaders. N u say most northern leaders... R d southern leaders any better? they r all hopless politicians and untill we come together as Nigerians and kick them out, we will remain here. Northerners have done this already. Southerners r still playing I hate u, i love ojukwu game.
I never said the south had better politicians. They are united in their quest to leave this country eternally stagnated through mindless looting and visionless leadership.
But that notwithstanding, northern leaders/elite are the worst set of leaders one can ever ask for. They deliberately leave their people uneducated which breeds poverty so that they can be easily manipulated politically.
Just look at the vast resources located in the north being left unexploited because the illiterates don't know what to do with it. Yet the children of almost every Northern leader schools abroad.
It is a sorry situation.

Eddygourdo:
this is why no matter the abuses and attacks I receive by people of unfounded hate, I still come back and post my opinion because no matter what there will always be grain amongst the chaff. Thanks for being a grain and exposing further arguements on the subject matter. A united south is easier and a more concieveable nation than tiny landlocked break aways if every body went state by state. Even the SS aren't keen on an alliance withe the SE. We have more in common than differences . With access to water ways and immesnse potential for industrialzation and attendant trade. The sky is the limit for a united south
Its refreshing reading your post and trying to punture the arguments of these and sometimes very unreasonable bigots. Its very difficult to hear even a tiny voice of reason these days especially on Nairaland and on social media.
I was born, brought up and still live in the SS and it is quite laughable when I see things like SESS when in theory, it doesn't exist. The perceived unity being forced on the SS by the Igbos is based on their inability to see the gross incompetence which was Goodluck Jonathan. A man who was installed as president by a Yoruba man. And also access to the sea and oil in case of seccession.
What some bigots do not understand is that such seccession can not occur if the south doesn't present a united front. Instead we would continue to lose and the northern elite would continue to enrich themselves while we keep fighting an imaginary war. Just look at the bugdet brouhaha(the removal of the southern rail line) for example.
PoliticsRe: The Entire Southern Nigeria Needs To Be A United Front Despite Differences by clevadani: 8:52pm On May 01, 2016
I want to commend the op 4 coming up with a thread like. But it is obvious that bigots will always be bigots and will never reason rationally. They will keep hurting themselves in order to disrupt their perceived enemies. They lack vision and will forever remain stagnant because they will never listen to superior arguments. Instead, they will start throwing invectives about when confronted with such. The best I can do is laugh when I read their posts because it lacks reason.
Though I like being a Nigerian, I feel a united southern Nigeria will favor every southerner more than he/she will care to admit. Every region in southern Nigeria is already contributing immensely to the nation and still filled with vast untapped potential. From the business capital west Africa in SW Nigeria to the industrial hub in SE to the oil rich SS region, our capability is amazing if only we can put our perceived difference aside. Though the north is more richer than the south in terms of resources, they are still an albatross dragging the south backwards. Most northern leaders are simply selfish and intentionally leave their people poor and uneducated for their own political interests. So that they can be easily manipulated.
But this manipulation doesn't stop up north. They are still manipulating southerners and making us suspicious of each other. Until we unite, nothing will happen. Only continuous internet rants.

My dear, I was a true Nigerian before i joined nairaland. But with time, I saw the true evil nature of majority of yorubas. And the 2015 elections made it worse. See how people are butchered everyday because of the selfishness of yorubas. Mind you, Buhari's antecedent is well known, but because of appointments, the yorubas sold Southern Nigeria to the Fulanis. They will PAY for this over the next 50yrs. I promise you.

It is a poor attempt aimed at discrediting the efforts of the president.

TPAND:
I am not sure you read my links. Read well especially the second one. Buhari was credited with making the state ungovernable for GEJ, also he also compelled his followers to go for blood if he lost the elections.
credited by whom? Doyin Okupe? The same man that told everyone to call him a foool? Lol.
I can see the type of people u take serious.
I've told u d man that said that he will make naija ungovernable 4 Gej,yet u r still arguing blindly, it is obvious that ur hate 4 Pres Buhari will always blind u from seeing the truth.
Because ur arguments do not hold water, u have gone from crediting Buhari with the ungovernable statement to compelling his followers to go for blood. SMH
u said that Buhari was credited with the statement, but u have not been able to pull out the interview where he made such statement. U r simply relying on conjectures.
Please google Alhaji Lawal Kaita and stop displaying your ignorance on a public forum when information is readily available.

It was said by PDP chieftain Alhaji Lawal Kaita. Please read up and cure your ignorance.
