BusinessRe: Why Is It So Hard To Make Money Online? by clickgold(m): 4:09am On Jul 18, 2012
That is the mindset of so many Nigerians.

They think making money online is magic. Look at the word carefully 'Online Business'.
That is what it is, a business. For any business to thrive the business owner need a few
fundamental in place. When it come to doing business online, it is no different from our
brick and mortar business.

1. You must understand what you are doing. Most people do not know what they are suppose to
do online. They do not understand exactly what their business is all about. If you do not have
ready answer when people ask you what you do for a living, then you have not started.

2. They spend time surfing the web instead of focusing on their business. Checking your email
and Facebook do not constitute internet business unless it is bringing in money.

3. If you are not selling or building quality lists, sooner or later you will be come frustrated

4. Marketing and advertising should be a daily activity that you perform in your business.
If you are not making sales, or building a lists to market to...forget it you are not in business.

5. Internet marketing is not only about selling information product. Most people entered with this
mindset and get themselves burned. Online business is more than information marketers selling to
other information marketers.

6. Settle the peculiar Nigeria challenge. The most challenging aspect of making online as a Nigerian
is the issue of payment. How do you receive money from people who buy from you? do you risk verifying
Pay pal and losing your money if caught? Network can be damn slow days on end, what if you have a job
that you need to quickly finish and turn over? Then you have light wahala.

7. You need to believe in yourself. Forget the scorn of the people who do not understand what you are
about. I keep telling people, if yahoo yahoo boys can use the internet negatively to make money, what
about you who is going legit?

8. look for a success system that is producing result and pattern it. Online, success can come to you
in the twinkling of an eye, if you have a clear methodology and blueprint that you are following

9. Pray and believe in God

10. Sell both services and products. You have room to experiment, tweak and test until you have a line
of best fit, one that brings in money and not your hobby.

I sell web security solution online couple with cloud hosting/storage solutions. Now I am enjoying my choice
not to look for a job. It was worth the waiting.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Can I Use Connection To Get Job? by clickgold(m): 6:45pm On Dec 10, 2010
No need to kill yourself now since you do not have an uncle who is a senator.

Do you know the story of the young man who got a job from Ekiti state governor using Twitter?

You can create your connection that will make your CV heavy, referees that no potential employers can not ignore. there is a system to do that just get creative. Also develop yourself and become the best in what you do.

There are not enough opportunities to cater for all our graduates;half-baked or 'ready to eat'.
This tells us to become enterprising; think and do something on our own, or at least dig up our family history and find out who we know!
Another option is to develop one's self and get soooo good , you can't be refused.
I prefer your last statement better, you become so good it will kill their business if they do not employ you, well put Mymanu

Unfit

Aged

Due for retirement.

These people cannot contribute anything to the growth of the company.

For the fear of been attacked, I think this is the very reason while our civil service is not productive.

If you are not productive, it doesnt matter if you work for the government or the multinational, you should be shown the way out.

Good comment from some intelligent folks

@Eluala I think you should conduct a seminar in this regard, you will be helping a lot of Nigeria graduates.

For today graduates with the challenging marketplace, you need an outlet to prove you are the best man for the job.

The national assembly is busy trying to beat Sanusi into retracting his statement that the national assembly spend 25.4% of our national budget. Nobody is paying attention to the growing joblessness in the country.

For the past decade we have companies who packed up and shipped out to more friendly environment.

Are there still jobs for the Nigeria graduates?

SetuYara:
It is not the governments duty to create jobs. Their duty is only to foster an environment for entrepreneurs to create jobs.
Entrepreneurs, who are individuals create jobs when they start businesses.
I assume they have created the enabling environment. The truth is the Nigeria system of government as it is now cannot foster a environment like that. So the fact boils down to 1 simple thing: there are no much jobs around. The government is not creating an conducive environment to help people beome 'enterpreneur'. I own my business and I know what it costs to run it every month.\

Some of the costs will have been totally eliminated if only the government was doing just enough.
