The forum has rules which has to be adhered to otherwise you'd get penalized. You can't keep posting multiple adverts in sections where ads are not allowed and expect the moderators to fold their arms. If your business expands and you have workers deliberately keep going against the rules you laid down for them, won't you take action? If we allow every business owner to keep spamming the entire forum with adverts, won't you get irritated with constantly seeing topics derialed with ads?Kindly adhere to the forum rules to avoid penalities that come from deliberately breaking them.
Dominique I have quoted you so many times, sent the super mod mail still nothing, I even had to edit my previous post cause my number was there, i even mentioned lalasticlala still nothing. Back in 2018 I didn't know the rules I posted my number on this forum, I have been getting random text messages and being added to groups of making money, I am appealing the fourth time to please help delete my number , as I am tired of some kind of messages I receive, please whoever mod that can help me I will appreciate. please kindly delete this message along with it cause it bears my number.

The fact that Nigerians are not part of the list EU drafted but I read in the news that student may be excepted, July 1 is a day to open visa section by EU. Are student be allowed to get an appointment?

That was my question
There are questions u ask, but look at countries na, Ghana wasn't there, SA wasn't there too, but appointments are surplus for them, so us being on the list has nothing with us not getting dates, the interstate lockdown has been removed, I think there isn't any barrier stopping them anymore, well July 1 is tomorrow, maybe then we will see and know their plans.

I got mine too, not going I have other admissions, we were told to pay semester ticket before 15/07/2020, that does not sit well with me during this time of uncertainties.

Bro what date is this news?

The one I uploaded is today own on schengenvisa website
well thanks for this, but it does not affect student and work visa, Ghana is still missing from the list but there are a lot of dates for interview, even South africa with over 100,000 cases they have lots of dates to choose from, this should not stop the embassy for given dates and doing interview. I don't know why they are still closed.

Its good to prepare the document down, so that you won't be cut off guard.
Do u think its easy to get AD, ask last summer applicants them go gist u, if this your ginger was done last year winter I would have applauded, date ain't easy that's the plain truth, even tougher for category B, and even worse now with coronavirus issue.

The embassy hasn't even opened and time they go, I like your ginger though, but in all sincerity things don't look too good, to be honest its tough, i pray it gets better, cause slowly people are losing hope, last year winter was buzzing, I go out and come back and over 15 pages have passed, so many AD, AM and visa.

I pray the German embassy should at least open cause the more the delay the more difficult. when there is AD, there is a hope. We should all pray for AD.

You are in a hurry o bro, why not at least get the AD first? I don't understand the hurry, if the embassy should release dates I can bet you will have a lot of people going through same process and then u get accurate information, all good though.

Visa issue is affecting different countries with high population even India the other op was boasting about face the same issues, infact the visa issue in india is worse, I can send you screen shots of my chats with Indian students concerning this.....

Personally, I am an academic person and I already plan to run my studies to at least phd level minimum, so don't think you are talking to somebody who is afraid to study... But in the same light, I will not force this my desire to study on another person, and I will not condemned anybody who do otherwise, I know IT guys in canada and usa working in great companies without college degrees (I mean not even Bsc)hence I refuse to be myopic by viewing career growth in terms of degrees only and concerning the career growth you emphasized... Not everybody is planning on hanging on to working and looking for better pay and better jobs till they retire... Try to see through a lens like starting up your own IT firm, creating innovative and disruptive solutions in the IT world etc, where degree or no degree is inconsequential
You are saying something different, I am saying it is utterly wrong to advice or support someone to get study visa when he has no intention on studying but rather wants abandon schooling to work, it is wrong. there are some things we are not suppose to write here, nairaland is a large public forum. Just so u know.

Please calm down, you are just being self righteous here.. You didn't read the guy's post where he said he is not interested in pursuing a degree again?... Pray you don't find yourself in some tight situations most people that quit studies like that found themselves in... My friend use to say it is always a smooth drive, free from accident when you drive a vehicle by just describing how you would navigate by mouth...... And don't bring visa issue into this, Nigerians are not the only citizens who quit studies for jobs and moreover if the job is not good enough to acquire a resident permit, the German government will not issue the permit....

Moreover, German companies and industries are not looking for big degree holders, they are looking for people who can deliver on the job......Companies don't hire degrees, they hire and pay for skills; the world has moved away from that degree acquisition and accumulation system that you believe in , if you have the skills for that "higher paying" job you talked about (don't know what you mean by that anyway) they will give you the job , degree or no degree; especially with the recent law that was passed.

My friend who graduated about a year ago after Msc in Germany just got a job recently with salary of about 43k euros while I know an IT guy that dropped out earlier from the same Msc program immediately he got a job of about 65k euros (he doesn't have masters o, only Bsc from Nigeria with IT skills)....Please do more research and reevaluate your stance so you don't condemn people unnecessarily, the world is changing and in the nearest future Msc and Phd will no longer represent what they represent now in the minds of many...
I can't believe you are saying this in a public forum, what is bad is bad, its so wrong to get a student visa to go and abandon your studies for work are you kidding me? comparing your friend who dropped out to someone who finished schooling? like seriously? why do we always think cheating the system is worth it, now I know why German embassy only want first class from a certain period from Nigerians, with other countries getting better requirements for application, it's all glaring, people that really want to study now can't get visa sef. That advice you gave the guy is terrible, if he can't study he should get a work visa or sit his ass in Nigeria.

Check the embassy leaflet for student, I think it said so.

But I don't know if anyone own a E-passport or not, so take it to passport office to ask or ask anyone that knows better.
Please u guys should not bring up this argument again, someone has explained that the Nigerian immigration has been releasing E - passport since 2007. whether it is the standard E- passport or the enhanced E - passport, all are E passports. another even called the immigration to confirm this, so its been explained here already.

Thank God I asked the questions o..it was someone who was advising me to just go ahead and fill it without having gotten admission.. By the way how does one apply for appointment date I guess it's totally different from the application form
https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/choose_categoryList.do?locationCode=lago&realmId=347

Read the categories well and know where you fall in. (Category A or B)

Please Note: Please be reading this thread to know if you may have to cancel and rebook again because the embassy wrote that they are not accepting visa application so its pointing that we might still rebook, no one knows yet till the visa section has opened.

On the Visa application form, there are some information to be filled which is expected from someone who has already gotten admission and knows where he or she is going to.. Someone who's applied to 3 schools, how would he fill a specific information on the application form that would correspond to the details of a particular school where he has gotten admission?? And also, what if he fills the details of a particular school on the application form and eventually gets admission in another school knowing he had already filled the details of another school.. Would he cancel his appointment date or cancel his application to input a new information in order to ensure the new information tallies?? Please I have painted these scenarios for clarification.. Anyone who has experience in this or has gone through the process should help out so it doesn't appear that one has filled false information.. Thank you
u never see Appointment Date, u never get Admission Letter you are filling visa form like seriously? Wait till u get admission letter first na, that one is not running away. Me I have admission letters a lot, but when I get appointment date I will fill the visa form it shouldn't take a day sef to fill, so why d rush? Guy pray for AD that's the matter here not visa form.

This information is very accurate. Meaning everyone going to Germany this winter should upgrade. Contact me if interested.
The upgraded passport is only given in Lagos and Abuja and maybe PH, so I personally don't see any problem with the standardized passport. the E passport is not available at all States.

There is no advantage of Masters over Bachelor in booking, category B na Category B, the problem u might have is during your interview due to the age stuff plus many many questions, If u get to DE you can switch to masters, don't cancel oooo!

words on the streets are saying we might rebook again, still rumour... but until then please do not cancel, Category B na Category B, just prepare for questions on why u are going for another BSc. good luck

I saw on German Embassy Abuja booking Site, this morning, for one of their services asides Visa. There were dates. It means that the Abuja Embassy is open. Why Lagos arm hasn't opened is what I am yet to understand

It is well with Germany
The most important service is visa which is the Visa section, omo na dem go give you date, interview you, and process, other services now mean nothing.

First question not answered yet.. ...
For the First question the embassy never ask for your GPA or ask you for the conversion to German grade, they look at your BSc certificate and conclude. Your transcript has to correlate with what class you graduated with. so it is first class, Second class upper and not the German grading system. Conversion to German grade is if you are applying to German schools, The embassy uses our grading system, same is applicable to Ghana also.
