When i saw this topic i just laughed, i once dated a spoiled(t) chic ; it wasn't funny but i did like her.
Most of the time i had to cover up for her and cautioned her in private not to display some of those annoying attributes in public (the funny thing is that she never saw anything wrong in her actions. I could remember on one occasion where she told me point blank that the seller of product we bought should be grateful and thankful we bought her product)

Then one day she looked at me and said " Honey Please can you pay my school fees, when my dad raises the cash and is ready to pay my fees i would pay you back" . Guess the school she was in ---Babcock .
This was the one that broke the horses/camels back.

All in all, I think there are some of them that are nice, u just have to change their orientation and tell them loads of no after a while they get used to hearing it

On a serious note, now that mobo has mentioned it, i remembered someone telling me that the ratio of girls to guys on my facebook page was 10:1,
didn't really think much of it till now.

I think most people are trying to become their own celebrity on facebook, i used to have over 400 friends on facebook, then one day when going through it i found out that most of them were secondary mates, university mates and acquittances that do not add value to my life, so i set a target of 200 friends and i deleted many of them.

Mobo, your assumptions are not 100% right, cos many people use FB for different reasons

eg= you use it for harvesting
some use it to remain in contact
some use it for gossips
some use it to remain relevant
some use it to be a celebrity in their friend circle etc

Even as a student, when i go out with my gf, i take care of  the bills (my chic earns over 20k/yr). The only time i don't is when she insists on handling it.
I just finished my degree and shd be applying for my post study and my chic has been offering me all the cash i need for it (maybe probably cos she knows i wouldn't ask lol). but the point is that over the time we've been together she knows that if i collect any cash from her and give her a day to return it, i always return it before that day and at various times i had trusted her enough to place some large cash in her care.

Hi poster, you know what is right and know the right thing to do.
Relationship is not all about money, its about helping the other party overcome their weaknesses and complementing (compensating for their weaknesses) , though they might not see it as one.
How we go about it is what determines the outcome. Its a gradual change which can be effected with love.

I for one understood earlier on in life that am not good with cash and i proffered a solution for myself ( i don't leave money in my wallet and if i mistakenly do, i give it to my gf to keep till i need it)

you need to sit the guy down and plan his finances, if possible manage it for him, explain to him that you feel bad each time he borrows money from you or people (use the woman power of persuasion if possible).

If he sees that you are willing to help him selflessly (without any strings you guys unnecessarily attach or rubbing it in on his face) you gain his trust.
And please don't misuse the opportunity of managing his finance because once he loses that financial trust in you, then you've lost the battle

Well as far as i am concerned, i won't put in so much cash into an economy without having a ROI, i would apply for my post-study, and save money to leave the useless  useful country.

What most people don't realize is that this country is so hyped up, am yet to see any Naija student who does not prefer home, Infact my flat mate jokes about his bag is already packed and would take the afternoon flight back to Naija if he sees a good job.

I have weighed all the options and have seen that you are better off being in Naija where there are ample opportunities for talent utilization and growth(if you have cash or connected) than these bloody place where everyone is whining

Having said that, if any1 wants to migrate, only do that if you are doing a menial job in naija(then i guess you would be better off). But if you are doing something great, or you have some cool cash, start investing it in something, on the long run, you would be better

Sorry to sound mean, but sometimes the truth is bitter.
When something bad happens, we start looking for who to pass blame on and how to collect compensation.

Your son killed himself, he should have thought of not drinking before driving( for christsake, the guy was not a minor).
He was old enough to manage his life and know what was good for him.

Hospitals are created to salvage the situation and see how to keep people alive, and not everyone that enters the hospital leaves alive ( Both here in Uk or any country).
Thats why it is said prevention is better than cure.

Maybe we should accuse the driver of the truck for parking there, and then the FRSC for negligence of duty, (leaving the truck parked there), the federal government for not facilitating these hospitals, and lastly the thieving politicians who go abroad for medical care.
