seems you havent been following the news to read about how farmers have suffered greatly this year, from herdsmen crisis in the benue, kidnapping and banditry in the North east and west, tribal/ communal conflicts etc. Fertility of the soil does not guarantee a bountiful harvest.

i agree there are bad eggs in every security apparatus, its not peculiar to Nigeria alone, but its because of the sweat of the police men and military that you can afford to spew this thrash from the comfort of your bedroom. I think that the burden of the responsibility would be on anyone acting in loco parentis (in parental position). If they did it while at home, their parents would have been the ones to hold responsible. But, now that they did it while at a boarding school, the school managers are to be held responsible.

A case in point relates to the minor involved in the recent school shooting in Michigan, USA. His parents have been arrested because he came to school from his home with the gun on the day of the shooting.
