Maybe after that is fulfilled ... 1naira= $1 |

teadrake: What a useless directive from the said minister of health. NYSC doctors that prescribed vitamin c (Ascorbic acid) for malaria patient with Metronidazole that year is the one being advocated to replace striking resident doctor. This man is not serious. How did you know it was malaria? Malaria can exist with other diseases. Was there shortage of drugs in that clinic? It is unfair to undermine the NYSC doctors in cases of malaria treatment. |

olisaEze: Is there no single competent person in this administration at all! If you have met the pressing conditions would they be going on strike again and again? Now you’d prefer to endanger lives of citizens by replacing resident doctors with house officers and youth corp members? These guys won’t stop till this country grinds to a halt finally! I give up!! And billions already spent on Covid... I wonder if that wouldn't have transformed the health Care sector in Nigeria a bit |
Health › Re: 75-Year-Old Tortoise Involved In Accident In Kebbi, Doctors Try To Save The Life by Cmanforall: 10:50pm On Sep 09, 2020 |
stephenduru: Today, the atmosphere at Veterinary Clinic Sokoto was lighten up by the presence of 75yr old tortoise from Argungu.
History revealed that the patient was ran over by a car (Hilux) and got his shell cracked and broken.
It was all hands on deck as the team comprising the veterinarians from the clinic and 'Gifted hands' from the department of Surgery and Radiology, FVM, UDUS spent the whole lot day on the patient. The shell was fixed using circlage wire and screws.
The patient has since returned back to Argungu.
Source: http://www.trezzyhelm.com/2020/09/doctors-struggle-to-save-live-of-75yr.html?m=1 The healthcare system is in shambles yet billions are being looted even COVID19 funds. Look at those pictures... Did you notice the use of 'nylon' gloves? No one should say it's because this is an animal, that's a reflection on how some hospitals can be. |
Health › Re: Ebonyi Takes Over Mission Hospital As 100-year Lease Expires by Cmanforall: 3:19pm On Sep 09, 2020 |
contigiency: Such a shameful act exhibited there by the government. Sent thugs to go and chase away sick patients and staff of the hospital. If you see the video how a commissioner for health led thugs to beat up the chief medical Director and other staff.
A hospital that has served the community for more than 100years since it was established by the missionaries. You came unannounced beat up and chased away over 200 staff of the hospital without any compensation. How they will feed their families does not concern you. What we witnessed there was a worst inhumanity to man by power drunk government officials.
This is even when the whole 13 general hospital owned by the same state have all gone moribund, and you want to take over a privately owned hospital by the church. I mean at a time that governments all over the world are encouraging private investors to take over and run businesses. It was indeed callous. Unfortunate! That hospital must have saved lives & birthed many. That region is quite remote, and for it to be functional till this day shows there is an 'okay' management at least running it. If people can visit goverment healthcare centers in the villages that have not stayed up to 20 years, they will understand the services any functional hospital is rendering in the rural communities. It will be unfortunate if the community supports this, because their health is at stake. How many hours from there to the nearest general hospital or teaching hospital? I hope someone influential intervens, also for the welfare of the staff. |

Enugupikin: https://m.guardian.ng/news/ebonyi-takes-over-mission-hospital-as-100-year-lease-expires/ GAME It took 8years to come to this point? They would have renamed it Uburu General Hospital or something else. If Ebonyi State University needs a 'Hospital' General or not, the state and the university should build one. Ebonyi state use to have a teaching hospital in their name, Ebonyi State University Teaching Hospital (EBSUTH), what happened to it? They converted the EBSUTH to a Federal Hospital (Federal Teaching Hospital Abakiliki) and now they want to snatch a Mission's Hospital for the University. What does Ebonyi State University General Hospital mean? Does it mean the hospital will now be under the management of the Ebonyi State University or under the State ministry of health?I hope the people inolved in this can see clearly the future confusions they are creating. If the complain is about the high cost, then government can build a general hospital for the community for cheaper healthcare services. Running an efficient healthcare facility is not easy, and what maybe termed high can be due to the income of the community dwellers. |
Politics › Re: Niger Exports Fuel To Nigeria As Egypt, Algeria Build 13 Refineries by Cmanforall: 8:04am On Sep 09, 2020 |
Amotolongbo: It won’t be surprising if told Nigerians own some/many of the refineries in Egypt, Algeria and Niger .
The excuse now is waiting for the Dangote Refinery to commence operations, though it may likely solve the problem of importing the refined fuel, I don’t see it lowering the cost of buying these products cos of the monopoly involved. To solve the problem, Dangote oil monopolizing the oil market, our 4 refineries must be privatized to viable individuals or corporates who are capable, not like the PHCN privatization.
It is so evident that we are not mentally and morally capable to as a nation run and maintain the operation of our refineries. We invest an elephant-size resources into our refineries, but they churn out sheep-size products. What sense is in that?
Now that the subsidy has been removed from the fuel being imported, let us see what they are going to invest it on Youe meant ant? |

Kendumazy: Wasting of tax payers funds anyhow. When they knew, the card issuing method won't work last as such. Why introduced it then? We really need to do away with every government coming into office changing policies here and there and political leaders changing policies here and there too. They should put somethings into consideration most especially TAXPAYERS FUNDS. And it seems they are doing trial with Nigerians. Same they did with Car plate numbers, driver's license etc. |

Mbdovey: So, I got talking with a senior friend about challenges most new migrat faced in Canada and US. After several discussion, this got my attention. According to her, it's very difficult to get married or come in contact with a prospective life partner. As most Nigerian's single ladies are over age but no husband. How true is the above statement? Are there most Nigerian's single ladies than single men? As a single Nigerian in Canada or US, is it really difficult finding a life partner (a Nigerian partner to be precise)?
Is it adviseable to get married to a Nigerian partner before going, what if the marriage fail due to long distance?
What's the possibility of seeing more black (Nigerians) to mingle?
What part has large number of Nigerians?
Because it's good to plan every aspect of one's life. Do you know any real group? Fb or WA etc |
