EmagNig: The late Senator Buruji Kashamu has been buried in his palatial home in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun state.
He reportedly died on Saturday due to complications from Covid-19 infection.
His death has caused so much controversy on social media, notable of all the Condolence message by Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who had berated the late Senator even after his death.
Obasanjo in his message, addressed to Governor Abiodun of Ogun state, wrote that the Senator who evaded justice over alleged drug trafficking charges, couldn't escape death.
Drdreyy: The quarter final fixtures have been announced, which teams do you think will make it to the semi finals and who will be the eventual winner ?
martineverest: learn to reason deeply.....he and kyari must have died of heart related ailment, which is one of covid complications
You expose your ignorance. If my statement is difficult for you to comprehend, skip! It is not for kids.
So all cardiology centres are allowed to admit and treat Covid19 patients? All nephrology centers are permitted to admit and treat Covid19 patients with renal complications? Etc. etc.
It is one thing to be a Covid19 center, it is another to be a specialist centre. To break my earlier question down to your level of understanding...
So is First Cardiology Consultants is certified for Covid19 management?
Soknown: 'The end of a race marks the beginning of the next one', so says a wise man. So that capped my 16 years of being a nurse in Nigeria. I gave the country and the profession my all, served in various capacities. Worked in unimaginable conditions, Jungles, Swamps, raging Sea, Spent more time in the air and sea than on the land. and survived a chopper crash. This is testament to the unassuming and unyielding resolve and resillience of a typical Nigerian. While i did not attempt to glorify leaving the shores of Nigeria as a Success in itself, i see it as another opportunity to perform on a much more rewarding platform and in a society that rewards excellence, diligence and all the good virtues which we are naturally embued with as Nigerians. I hope in my little way, been able to inspire someone or at least provide information which could be useful, now or later. Now i want to implore that the mods help in moving this to front page, while i am open for questions, supportive comments and concerns. As i prepare to write on the next phase.
Nice one. And congratulations!
Please, which sponsor did you use for the Tier 2 visa?
He shouldn't have gone to city, and he's relatively lazy too
One point Victor is the new future of Nigeria forward. The club's he's moving to are basically gonna develop him more. Who knows after Napoli, it might be Athletico Madrid... And finally will land in Chelsea. That will be an immense career development!
JoshOxborn: No, There's still a chance for him. Vardy is 32 or 33years now and he's not getting any younger, he's dwindling fast and Iheanacho will be there to replace anytime, moreover Iheanacho is still very young. That gives him a big advantage in the team.
You are assuming they won't land another striker?
Players turn up every now and then, from different leagues and international competitions.
obembet: One of the biggest mistakes Kelechi made was moving to Leceister, where Vardy who English was the main striker. There was certainly no way he was going to bench Vardy, who is still banging goals like a young hungry striker. I think it'll best if leaves the king power to a place where he can get regular playing time.
Example?
Which EPL club will he go now and bench their regular striker? With his style of play, Guardiola would be his best manager, if he wants to help him. It takes a lot of hardwork to maintain a first team shirt in EPL. Soon both him and Iwobi will not be in Super Eagles first team.
If u want to be rewarded heavily in this Shit hole, just cause unmeasurable carnage on the state and u will be a billionaire overnight in the name of rehabilitation.
In recruiting soldiers, they give quota to states. The process to get into the Nigerian Army is not easy for the common citizen, including graduates (for DSC).
But when some rascals join Boko Haram, surrender after few weeks. They will inhabit, feed and clothe them for weeks. Thereafter, they are directly recruited into the Army.
The present government paints insurgency in a good light. Making it look profitable.
A child that gets a cub as a pet, and keeps feeding it thinking it's a cat, should not be surprised if he ends up in a lion's stomach.
Nigeria needs a lot of restructuring. Top government positions should be made less juicy by all means. And minimum qualifications raised, not SSCE to be a president, while SSCE can only get a low level job in civil service. Things need to change for Nigeria to move forward.
teemswest: She may be be correct, because I have used a popular transport parcel service and dey stole an item from the goods, I contacted management they said they don't steal.
The management may be right. Why will they steal something from you when they know they will be the first suspect? It could also be the sender, the particular individual, or a company error.
Saao: Ssa to the governor said the thugs did not flog them and said illegal protest. The government indeed sent them and again who define what protest is illegal or legal? What kind of people do we have in government? You sent thugs to flogg your fathers and mothers because you are in government? One day this country will explode if care is not taking
It is sad indeed. All these men that have sacrificed their youthful age for the state deserve their pensions.
At the bolded, in developed countries, you need a police approval for protests. I guess if done otherwise, it becomes illegal.
sarrki: Is true that Sheik Isa Ali Pantami left a better pay in Saudi Arabia to Nigeria (a professor in Saudi Arabia collects up to 25,000SR monthly).
Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala also left her job in the world bank with a pay package worth more than $351,740 (net) yearly in 2008 to accept ministerial appointment in Nigeria
Prof Usman Yusuf, the embattled NHIS Boss moved to Nigeria from Saint Jude Children Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee, as professor in the Division of Stem Cell Transplantation with annual net worth of over $200,000.
Olusegun Olutoyin Aganga equally left his role as Managing Director with Goldman Sachs in London in 2013 with annual net worth of over 300,000 pounds.
Magnus Lekara Kpakol also left as a professor of economics at the University of Dallas, USA then to Nigeria
There are many of them, what is opened for debate are those undisclosed and behind the scene benefits believed to be attached to these offices in Nigeria
The benefits of having a well paid position with, political strong in Nigeria outweighs what you get abroad. Not excluding the easy tax evasions attached to the income.
Also in the entourage was the CEO De Latinos Mr. Emmanuel Okenini (Bello), Barr. Vitalis Anopue, Mazi Iheanyi Inyamah (Ebony) Mr Tony Oguejiofor, Mr Uwaoma Ogbonna and a host of others.
Chukwueze also presented his Jersey to Sen. Kalu, former Abia governor.
The federal lawmaker has since his return to the state played host to prominent sons and daughters of Igbo land at his home.
You people have come again o... Beware of all these politicians. Be it Ihedioha or Uzodinma! Imo people should source for a fresh and credible candidate.
fraymite: Most useless scholarship in the world. The selection is not transparent and even if you are selected based on paddy paddy, they will still owe you stipends and default in paying your tuition fees. More than useless scholarship. Especially that Bilateral scholarship for foreign study.
The way you wrote, it seems you have experience on this. Someone told me in the 2003/2004 period, that Imo state slots were sold out while risking lives of candidates in Enugu. This was a time Prof. Fabian Osuji, an Imo indigen, was the minister for education. Possibly, used it to settle some people. She specifically said Imo state candidates were waiting for their aptitude test till late in the night, that they had to give them Ebonyi questions to answer. It will take an adult mind to understand that while they were waiting, 'special candidates' are writing the test secretly. Even if it is genuinely based on test scores, only those that had an actual test score will be considered. This screens out all other competitors.
PerfectlyPerfect: Rochas did good in his first tenure. He became foolish in his second. People voted for Rochas based on his first tenure performance
Not true at all!
RoChas got into power because it was propagated OHAKIM flogged a Rev. Father. And then RoChas was seen as a good guy. 2nd tenure, RoChas rigged himself into power. He even boasted about it. He even left Apga and entered APC due to the misunderstanding he had with the party that brought him to power.
I cried and had goosebumps while watching the video. So touching. I don't know why Evil always win.
This shows the pain people are passing through and clamouring for change.
I think Hope Uzodinma, to start with in a party not accepted by the Imo indigenes. Another thing against him will be his zone. Uzodinma hails from Orlu zone, that have already governed the state for over 16years since 1999. The other 2 zones are yet to have such. It should ideally be going to Owerri zone, that is Ihedioha's zone.
In a state that holds zoning dearly, this can increase the anger and loss of interest in the APC, Orlu-zone ruling government in the state.
Can one imagine this as having Hausa/Fulani rule Nigeria for another 8years after Bihari's 2nd term?
Whereas Imo people are desperate for other zones to govern, they should use a credible candidate.
PerfectlyPerfect: The masses support him 100%. I live in Imo, I know what I'm saying. If not for anything, the road to my area was being fixed by him few months into his office before he was removed by the supreme court. The new governor came into power and ended the contract and that road is back to its terrible state. Most roads in Owerri are in this same condition
The same way they supported ROCHAS and he did wonders.
