asuustrike1: There may be political undertone in this has this incident allegedly happened before that man became a senator however, the video only show the attitude of most men in Nigeria. I hope if similar thing had happened to a poor man the masses will crucify him too He has police escorts... he should already be senator-elect. |

daroz: A lot has been said and done about the senator who slapped the innocent lady , but where is the lady that was slapped? Apart from the fact that she is a breastfeeding mother or so, why is her identity and face still hidden?
Who is she and where does she stay or do for a leaving?
Why have they not given her interviews since to know her own part of the story?
I think something is not right somewhere, or has money exchange hands? Your questions are like that if a kid. With the rate of insecurity in the country, her anonymity is for safety. |

Where are the so called feminists and human rights lawyers and advocates, oya o time has come for you to prove your mettle You are not alone on this. Even the policeman was not harsh on the lady. This need to be everywhere now...and if it can result to his recall, that will be wonderful. |

You can solve questions for him, don't get me wrong. But that time limit for showing your calculations should not be encouraged. #IStandAgainstExamMalpractice |
Sports › Re: Mikel Obi Joins Trabzonspor, Turkish Club, To Pocket N1.22 Billion In 2 Seasons by Cmanforall: 2:08pm On Jul 01, 2019 |
More reasons they are in the nation's cup- to show themselves for foreign clubs and have more national caps. Ighalo too wan comot China by all means. It is far from fighting spirit to win the trophy at all costs, but if it comes anyhow, then it will be great. We need patriotic players in the SE. Only retain Ndidi and sack the scouts. obembet: Through a statement on their official website, Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor have announced the signing of Nigeria international John Obi Mikel.
The Chelsea hero has penned a two-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year in the club's favour.
Mikel transferred to Tianjin Teda in January 2017, ending his close to 11-year association with Chelsea and returned to England to play for Middlesbrough in the January transfer window.
The defensive midfielder was in search of a new club following his release by the Riverside Stadium outfit, for whom he played 19 matches, scoring one goal on the final day of the regular season. According to the agreement, Mikel will earn €1.5 million euros in his first season at Trabzonspor and another guaranteed €1.5m in the second year of his contract (approximately N1.22 billion in Nigerian currency over the duration of his contract). In the event that Mikel plays 70 percent of Super League matches for at least 45 minutes in the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons, Trabzonspor will activate the option to extend his deal by a year and he'll pocket €1.5m for the 2021-22 season.

You've got a point here. I look at how Pep transformed Sterling/ Klopp on Salah. Some coaches can develop players. But the issue of scouting is complex from the Nigerian perspective. Most atimes the so called 'scouts'are being sorted. Remember most people play football in Nigeria. We need unbiased scouts that are not influenced by money to get Nigeria the right talents. They full, home and away. YoungAncient1: Mikel is NOT THE PROBLEM OF THIS TEAM. The inability of our scouts to discover quality playmakers/players in each wings. Also, the INABILITY OF THE COACH TO DEVELOP A MASTER PIECE FROM ANY OF THE PLAYERS HE GAS IS WHAT WE SHOULD BLAME.
TRUTH BE SAID, WHICH PLAYER HAS IMPROVED SINCE HE BEGAN PLAYING UNDER ROHR? CAN THE COACH COME OUT AND SAY I MADE THIS PARTICULAR PLAYER? Maybe UZOHO, BUT WHAT CAN WE SAY ABOUT HIS ABILITY? SO, WE Have a technical adviser that is neither technically superior to any of our local coaches or has any developmental abilities. |

Femeto: Ighalo wasn't Isolated he can't take on defenders. That's why he should have played other strikers. Oynekuru was on the bench. We only needed a draw to win the group. The mindset of our coach is poor. He should have tried the other strikers we haven't seen today. The starting 11 was poor. Dey had just 1 shot on target. And that was from Ndidi, not even our striker. I agree with You, he should have featured a striker we haven't seen perform and he would have known his impact, if poor, he would sub. |

Politics › Re: Buhari’s Cabinet: Scramble For Appointment Hits Imo APC by Cmanforall: 8:16pm On Jun 28, 2019 |
Why all these power tussle ? Should a ministerial position be a representation of the state at the federal level? There are senators and house of rep members who are charged with those duties. IMO, wherever the minister hails from shouldn't matter, what Nigerians should be after for those positions are reputable and capable people. Buhari should hunt for credible & efficient ministers (home or abroad), even if they are not known in the political sphere. Myhoneypie: Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Imo State are currently trading words as Nigerians await Muhammadu Buhari’s naming of his cabinet members.
The APC members are locking horns over the ministerial slot for the State, leading to petitions and counter-petitions.
Some APC support groups in the State, in a petition made available to DAILY POST, which was addressed to President Buhari, asked him not to consider the duo of former Imo Deputy-governor and former Senator representing Imo West in the National Assembly as ministers.
In separate letters to the President, the groups, Imo APC Footsoldiers, Imo Patriots’ Front and Concerned Imo APC Stakeholders, alleged among other things that the duo of Senator Hope Uzodimma and Prince Eze Madumere were not inclined to the Next Level manifesto of the President, and therefore would be wrong casts to represent Imo State on the Federal Executive Council.
The Imo Concerned APC Stakeholders advised the President to demand the polling booth, ward and LGA results of those angling to be appointed ministers.
The group argued that “a minister needs to be politically strong and trustworthy among his people, in order to, apart from helping to actualize the President’s vision in his second term, also help in rebuilding the Party in the State, considering the poor showing of the Party in the last elections.”
The group also accused some people it described as ‘Party hijackers’ of being responsible for the Party’s poor showing in the last elections, especially, the Presidential and National Assembly elections, where the APC only won two House of Representatives seats and one Senate seat.
The group gave credit to the leadership of the immediate past governor of the State, Senator Owelle Rochas Okorocha for helping to sustain the Party in the State.
The Imo Patriots’ Front, who wrote specifically against the nomination of the immediate past Deputy-governor of the State as minister alleged among other things that “Madumere is politically weak and could not win his polling booth in all the elections of 2019.”
Another group, the Imo APC Footsoldiers adduced ten reasons Senator Hope Uzodimma is not eligible to serve in the Next Level cabinet.
The group accused Chief Uzodimma of being behind the poor showing of the Party in the State, and also of unable to “clear his name of several allegations bordering on graft, certificate forgery and breach of contract.”
They argued that the President would be rewarding indolence by appointing the Omuma-born former lawmaker as a minister.
