Career › Respect: Key To Job Satisfaction Among Employees by Cmediagroup(op): 7:43am On Apr 29, 2015 |
What do employees want most? R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Even if you're pulling down a fat paycheck, if you're earning it at a place where you're treated like dirt, chances are you'll want out. A new survey from the Society for Human Resource Management found 72% of employees rank "respectful treatment of all employees at all levels" to be the most important factor in job satisfaction. The other factors in the top 5 are trust between employees and senior management (64%); benefits (63%), compensation/pay (61%); and job security (59%).
As for the actual work itself? It ranked No. 11. Of the more than 600 survey takers, 86% said they were satisfied with their jobs overall -- the highest Level in a decade.
The majority of survey takers indicated they were satisfied -- either very much so or somewhat -- in terms of the respect, trust, benefits, pay and job security at their current employers. In terms of benefits, survey takers ranked paid time off as the most important, followed by health benefits, flexibility to balance life and work issues, defined contribution plans such as 401(k)s and family-friendly benefits.
The survey also indicated that more people saw pay increases in 2014. A full 63% of survey takers said they got a raise, up from 56% last year. And 50% said they got a bonus, up from 36%.
What are the top 5 factors that you need to be satisfied with your job? Does your current job make the grade? Let us know Source. www.cnnmoney.mobi//article?url=http%3A%2F%2Fmoney.cnn.com%2Fmobile%2Fjson%2F2015%2F04%2F28%2Fpf%2Femployee-job-satisfaction.json |

Sweetlemon: What is wrong witth Igbos on NL? Seriously are you guys ok? As in seriously? Fash may have deported some Igbos (who were most probably constituting a nuisance) but we all know that Lasg has the highest number of non-westerners in high places. Why cant you greedy lot be satisfied with that? Igbos are not the only people that were deported. Why are you guys always fighting imaginary enemies? Seriously you need to work on your issues.

TCF1980: Nice question you asked there. But, what does the constitution of Nigeria say concerning the matter? A school certificate or evidence of at least 10yrs or so in service as a staff (uniform or not). So, is he qualified to contest? As much as any Nigerian can read and write and has worked in Nigeria for some years with or without academic certificates can vie for Aso Rock position! Q.E.D! I know where the the constitution explicitly mentioned a school cert but have yet to see d 10yrs in service ish. Worthy of note is that if indeed he has no O'level qualification, he has no right acquiring the said experience in the first place because he wasn't qualified to join the army. I know a lot of people justifying or saying it should be swept aside with the APC broom wouldn't say so if it was GEJ in the same mess. Let us be truthful to ourselves, personally, I don't care who wins the elections |

Question to all
If I am asked to present a 2.1 degree certificate from a "reputable institution" plus years of experience to get a job paying less 20,000, why is it an issue to ask that someone who wants to oversee and represent me and over a hundred and seventy million others whose worth are measured by their ability to #showthecertificate ? |

Nairaland General › Write A Petition, Save Moses by Cmediagroup(op): 7:19pm On Dec 19, 2014 |
The Amnesty International intends to bring pressure on the Government of Delta State to commute the death sentence slammed on Moses for allegedly committing a crime he said he didn't even as an under aged. Moses Akatugba tortured, beaten and sentenced to death, yet innocent
Last year, Moses Akatugba was sentenced to death for armed robbery he didn’t commit. This means he was successfully incriminated. He was just 16 when he was arrested in 2005, and says he was beaten repeatedly by police officers with machetes and batons. What’s more, under international law, he should not have been sentenced to death, as he was a child at the time of the crime. Take actions to Save Moses and others who are suffering human rights abuse all over the world. click on https://sites.google.com/a/unn.edu.ng/nidnet/write-for-rights or visit the amnesty international page to join Amnesty international and sign an online petition |
