My school contacted me that my visa was approved, went to pick it up today. On my way to the consulate, I got a call from the legalization lady to come pickup �

The visa was issued a week ago but don't know why I wasn't contacted.

Nope medical insurance is asked after your visa application is successful.. they will then ask for it before the visa is issued on your passport..

Recognition cost 3,000 czk and you have to notorized all your documents that's if your going for masters.. for bsc I think you have to superlegalize your documents before sending to Czech..

Embassy don't accept scanned copy...you need the original...the best you can do pay for DHL it takes three days to deliver...hope you translated both police and medical report. Also hope you have done degree recognition.

I got an appointment for study visa from Czech embassy in abuja, scheduled for June 30 but I haven't translated my documents. I spoke with the czech company responsible for translation. They said I can send scanned copy to them to translate, and they can also send me scanned copy of the translated version, but I dont know if embassy accepts the scanned copy of the translated documents. Does anyone have an idea?

Yes I submitted employment letter, notarized letter of sponsorship and pay slip.
Those are the documents I summited as proof of fund.

Send a mail attaching your admission letter to the embassy in Abuja they will give you a early date. That’s what I did.

Actually I have spoken to the school they said the deadline to resume is 20th October. Just don't know what else to do. Will really appreciate if you could make those calls.

It will be almost impossible to change status when you enter with a wrong visa type. There's a reason why its called a Type D visa. This means it allows you to change status to something more long-term. Schengen Visas are usually issued for a very short duration of time and also not usually allowed to be converted to a Resident permit. But there are exemptions. First contact your University and find out from them. If i remember tomorrow i can call them on your behalf, i believe i can contact Poland as well.

Wroclaw is a very nice city, very foreigner friendly. Have good chances of getting a student job, especially in Telephone customer care in English.

Go and apply for any Schengen Visa and then use it to Poland. When you get there you tell the school so they will fix it for U.. Apply for any schengen visa.
